As the Chandlers are thankfully released, it might be worth asking why they were allowed to be captured in the first place. When they were taken, a Royal Navy ship with royal marines on board stood idly by doing nothing at all. Shouldn’t they have tried to rescue the Chandlers and kill all the pirates? Isn’t it the navy’s job to protect British citizens who pay our many admirals’ massive salaries and pensions?
We now have more admirals than we have ships. The navy has just become a bloated bureaucracy filled with incompetent self-serving cowards. And now we’re wasting billions on giving these buffoons aircraft carriers that won’t have any aircraft to carry. What a farce.
