Killing off pensioners to pay for immigrants – the Government’s great new way to save money

Every day in the winter months, at least 240 people die of cold-related illnesses in Britain – that’s about ten an hour or one every six minutes. Most of them are pensioners who can’t afford to heat their homes properly.

Official figures show the number of deaths linked to cold over the winter period is typically around 25,400 in England and Wales, plus 2,760 in Scotland.

Charities and critics of energy company claim the UK has the highest winter death rate in northern Europe, even worse than much colder countries such as Finland and Sweden.

But what a great way for the Government to save money. Every week the Government takes from these 28,000 people’s lives, the Government saves over £2.8m by avoiding paying them the state pension. For every year taken from these 28,000 people’s lives, the Government saves more than £145m.

So, congratulations should go to LibDem energy idiot Ed Davey for signing us up to a new international agreement that will push energy prices even higher and kill lots more useless, costly, smelly, doddery old people. Congratulations should also go the the impotent, toothless failed energy regulator Ofgem for allowing energy companies to fleece us with extortionate and unjustified high energy prices. Mr Davey and Ofgem are doing their bit to bring down the deficit by reducing the numbers of unproductive, unnecessary old people so we can pay for all the immigrants flooding into the country. What a super policy – “Freeze a granny to give more benefits to foreigners”.
