“Onward mainstream media, marching us to war”

(To the tune of “Onward Christian soldiers“)

Onward mainstream media

Marching us to war

Tricked by lying rulers

Like so many times before

It’s incredible. We seem to have learnt nothing from Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan. Yet again the mainstream media is beating the war drums. This time the media are salivating over all the extra advertising they’ll get if they can run loads of stories of heroic British pilots blowing up Syrians or ISIL or anyone really.

I wonder what they’ll be saying when we see the first videos of British pilots (or special forces) being beheaded, crucified or burnt to death? Oh I know, the media will demand vengeance. Then Cameron will pretend to be following public opinion when he does what he has really wanted to do all along – get British boots on the ground and have a real war. PR-man Dave desperately wants to be the new Winston Churchill. God save us from our useless, short-sighted, vainglorious leaders!

Meanwhile, here’s a warning from American commentator Pat Buchanan:

Is Turkish strongman President Recep Erdogan trying to draw the United States in on his side in the war in Syria, and into a confrontation with Vladimir Putin’s Russia?

A little history is in order. Not until 1952 did Turkey join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, all but two of whose original 12 members were on the Atlantic or North Sea.

Yet bringing in Turkey was a ten-strike, putting NATO on the Dardanelles and Bosporus and on the southern coast of the Black Sea, right up to the border of Stalin’s Soviet Union.

But the world that made Turkey such a strategic asset has vanished. Armenia and Georgia are no longer Soviet republics but free nations. The Soviet Empire, Warsaw Pact, and Soviet Union no longer exist, and Balkan nations as well as the Baltic States are members of the EU and NATO.

Turkey is no longer the secular nation-state of Kemal Ataturk, but increasingly hearkens to the *sl*mic Awakening. In Syria’s civil war, her behavior has not been what one might expect of an ally.

The Turks left the door open for jihadists to join ISIS. They are accused by two Turkish journalists, now facing life in prison, of shipping arms to ISIS. The Turks are charged with permitting ISIS to move oil from the *sl*mic State into and across Turkey.

Russia, which joined the U.S. in bombing the tanker trucks that move the oil, charges Erdogan’s son with being involved in the black market trade with the caliphate.

Instead of battling ISIS, Erdogan is fighting Kurds in Turkey and Iraqi Kurdistan and is threatening to attack Syria’s Kurds if they cross to the west bank of the Euphrates.

Ankara is also becoming dictatorial and repressive.

Erdogan has dismal relations with Egypt and Israel and appears hell-bent on bringing down Bashar Assad in Syria. Yet, Assad’s army remains the sole force standing between ISIS and Damascus.

Erdogan’s Turkey has its own separate national agenda. While understandable, what is of concern is that Erdogan could escalate his clash with Assad’s regime into a clash with Putin’s Russia, which is backing the Syrian regime — and drag us into his war.

And the longer this war goes on, the greater the likelihood of something like this happening.

For the operative premise of NATO is that an attack against one is an attack against all. What do we do should Erdogan provoke a Russian attack on his aircraft, and then invoke Article V and call on all NATO nations to come to Turkey’s defense against Putin’s Russia in Assad’s Syria?

Turkey’s shoot-down of the Russian Sukhoi Su-24 makes this more than a hypothetical question.

While the Russians have indicated they are not going to make this a casus belli, Putin charges that the U.S. was given advance notice of the flight plan of the Russian plane.

Were we? Did we authorize, know about, or suspect Erdogan was planning to shoot that Russian plane down? This is no small matter. And Americans have a right to know.

Then there is the geostrategic question.

The world of 2015 is nothing like Truman’s world of 1952 or Reagan’s world of 1982. The adversary we confronted then, the Soviet Empire and Soviet Union, has not existed for a quarter century.

Why then does NATO, created to defend Western Europe against that adversary, still exist?

Why are we still committed to fight Russia not only to defend Germany, but Estonia and Erdogan’s Turkey, and if the neocons get their way, to be committed in perpetuity to fight Russia for Georgia, South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Moldova, Ukraine, Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk?

If the history of the 20th century teaches anything, it is that war guarantees all too often lead to war.

But in this war against “radical *sl*mic terrorism,” who is the real ally: Erdogan, who has been aiding and abetting *sl*mic jihadists in Syria, or Putin, who has been bombing them?

sorry to keep repeating this after many posters have contributed very extensive informative stuff.

Is Cameron only seeking to bomb ISIS in Syria?

OR is this a lie in order to do what he wanted to do in 2013 bomb Assad. As part of the US objective where the next target is Iran.

Here in the UK we have natural defences called the English Channel, it protected us from the Spanish Armada (There were 12 Armadas actually).
It protected us from Napoleons fleet thanks to an English Hero called Nelson , remember him? A town here in Lancashire named after him should be renamed Nelsonistan if you go there you will see why.
It protected us from The Kaiser and the High Seas Fleet thanks to our Grand Fleet at Jutland.
It protected us in 1940 when the threat of invasion was imminent again saved by the RAF and the Royal Navy.

It wont save us this time, we have A TROJAN HORSE government on both sides of the Isle in the House Of Commons. This time the The Dictators have won destroying us from within with open door policies, what a way to go after all the blood that has been spilled defending our shores.Stabbed in the BACK BY Major,Blair, Brown and Cameron.

As John Cleese said in yesterdays Youtube Clip by a contributor, a friend of John Cleese visited the UK from North America came to London and asked “Where are the English?”

Our Lunatic in Chief Cameron wants to Bomb Syria with our 3 planes sent by our 12 Air Chief Marshalls.

Charalatan Politicians will do anything to deflect attention from their own crass ineptitude, combined with deliberate deception to there real goals.

US Former Senator , Ron Paul.

The interventionists will do anything to prevent Americans from seeing that their foreign policies are perpetuating terrorism and inspiring others to seek to harm us. The neocons know that when it is understood that blowback is real – that people seek to attack us not because we are good and free but because we bomb and occupy their countries – their stranglehold over foreign policy will begin to slip.

That is why each time there is an event like the killings in Paris earlier this month, they rush to the television stations to terrify Americans into agreeing to even more bombing, more occupation, more surveillance at home, and more curtailment of our civil liberties. They tell us we have to do it in order to fight terrorism, but their policies actually increase terrorism.

If that sounds harsh, consider the recently-released 2015 Global Terrorism Index report. The report shows that deaths from terrorism have increased dramatically over the last 15 years – a period coinciding with the “war on terrorism” that was supposed to end terrorism.

    According to the latest report:
Terrorist activity increased by 80 per cent in 2014 to its highest recorded level. …The number of people who have died from terrorist activity has increased nine-fold since the year 2000.
The world’s two most deadly terrorist organizations, ISIS and Boko Haram, have achieved their prominence as a direct consequence of US interventions.

Former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency Michael Flynn was asked last week whether in light of the rise of ISIS he regrets the invasion of Iraq. He replied, “absolutely. …The historic lesson is that it was a strategic failure to go into Iraq.” He added, “instead of asking why they attacked us, we asked where they came from.”

Flynn is no non-interventionist. But he does make the connection between the US invasion of Iraq and the creation of ISIS and other terrorist organizations, and he at least urges us to consider why they seek to attack us.

Likewise, the rise of Boko Haram in Africa is a direct result of a US intervention. Before the US-led “regime change” in Libya, they just were a poorly-armed gang. Once Gaddafi was overthrown by the US and its NATO allies, leaving the country in chaos, they helped themselves to all the advanced weaponry they could get their hands on. Instead of just a few rifles they found themselves armed with rocket-propelled grenades, machine guns with anti-aircraft visors, advanced explosives, and vehicle-mounted light anti-aircraft artillery. Then they started killing on a massive scale. Now, according to the Global Terrorism Index, Boko Haram has overtaken ISIS as the world’s most deadly terrorist organization.

So Tony Blurb really is a War Criminal…

LGBT activists self-harm, bleed ‘rivers of blood’ to protest Immigration Bill.

Lesbian and gay rights campaigners have cut their arms in a graphic protest outside the Home Office in opposition to the government’s controversial Immigration Bill, which they say will increase discrimination and target vulnerable people on the brink of poverty.

So LGBT say this bill ‘Will Kill’ and have cut their arms in protest. So when they bring all these Muslims in and we have Sharia law . Do they realise they will shed buckets of blood when their throats are cut or they are thrown from high buildings and or Stoned to death for being Homosexual. It will be amazing to see how many of them suddenly go straight when we enter the reality of what has happened to this country.

Oh Yes they refer to Enoch Powells ,Rivers Of Blood Speech’ . They never connected that he was right ‘PARIS’, for example.

Interesting comparison between ‘make it up’ journalism and real journalism

You have to ask yourself who owns the media. Not Joe public that’s for sure. I just know that when the media gangs up on Assad it’s in support of Saudi/Qatari/USA and now Turkish financial backers and companies. But why the Guardian. I thought it was a left wing prole supporting paper.I was wrong, its owned by Trinity Mirror PLC which is just another gigantic corporate. ‘Left wing’ is just a pretence, a market niche. Like the rest of the main stream media it is a propaganda machine. Perfect, just before a commons vote on starting yet another war for which no one has a clue how to end. But ending war is furthest from the minds of Lockheed, Raytheon, BAE etc.

So who wants us to go to war?

Greeks Told To DECLARE ALL CASH “Under The Mattress”, Jewelry And Precious Stones.

Cash ‘under the mattress’ totaling more than 15,000 euro, jewelry and other valuable items such as diamonds and gemstones, should be declared to electronic system of tax authorities, Taxisnet, as of 1. January 2016. Next to properties and vehicles and shares, now the taxpayers will also have to declare their deposits. And not only that. They will have to fill if they rent bank lockers and if yes, also the name of the bank and the branch, even if abroad.

A joint ministerial decision issued by the Ministries of Justice and Finance indicates that taxpayers in Greece should add all their valuables into a new category of the tax declaration, the “Assets declaration.”

    Specifically, the decision provides that:

“Assets declarations” are submitted electronically and mandatory via Taxisnet.
Starting date for the submission is 1.1.2016
Declared must be cash money if more than 15,000 euro and precious items if their total value exceeds 30,000 euro. These amounts apply cumulatively per household (husband, wife, underage children).

    She is right….

AMAZING SPEECH by Marine Le Pen to the EU Parliament on Islamic terrorism
“If you are unable to name the enemy, you cannot fight the enemy. The assassin is not terrorism. Terrorism is the weapon. The murderer is the ideology of Islamic fundamentalism (in other words Islam).”
”So, in essence, if we call countries like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and even Turkey our allies, then we, too, are the allies of Islamic fundamentalism. {… }There is no way to screen who is coming into Europe because the Islamic State is issuing valid passports. {…} We have no borders and even if we did, we have no military to defend them. That must change or Europe will never be secure.”
