As the government tries to reduce the rate of increase in public spending, we’re hearing howls of supposed pain from the police, the NHS, councils, the military and many others. Just remember that under the financially incontinent liar Gordon Brown, most of the public sector had their budgets doubled. But we didn’t get any real improvement in services. Instead most of the money was wasted on ever more managers, huge wage increases for all and a vast growth in pointless bureaucracy.
So when the buffoons running our public services now howl in rage at the coming slowdown in spending, don’t believe them. It’s just the squealing of pigs at the trough terrified that they might not be able to continue gorging themselves on taxpayers’ money.
