Our lying politicians and their millionaire pensions

Here in the US, just as in the UK, politicians are crying crocodile tears as they bemoan the fact that public-sector pensions are unaffordable. In the US they are planning on cutting pensions of their military – the ones getting maimed and killed in the pointless 10-year Afghan campaign that’s getting nowhere. In the UK, Liar Cameron and Liar Osborne are (quite rightly) trying to contain the disastrous cost of public-sector pensions.

But what neither US nor UK politicians will ever do is curb the cost of their own massively generous pensions. To get the same pension as an MP or member of Congress, you or I would have to put over £50,000 a year into our pension savings. So when our lying thieving politicians yalk on about public-sector pensions being unaffordable, they are filling their own pockets with our money. Cameron is a liar. Osborne is a liar. In fact, they’re all liars.
