More pointless deaths in Afghanistan

As our leaders holiday and Obama worries about how to get re-elected, ever more courageous young men (and women) are being killed and maimed by Afghan freedom fighters who quite understandably oppose Karzai’s incompetent and corrupt puppet government and the foreign invaders who keep it in place. This pointless war has now gone on for longer than the First and Second World Wars together and the invaders have achieved precisely nothing apart from massive loss of civilian and soldiers’ lives.

It’s time to admit defeat, bring all the troops home and leave the primitive Afghans to enthusiastically slaughter each other in a hell of their own making.
