Not everything about Dr Frankenstein Fauci’s Wuhan lab-leaked plague was bad. After all, Fauci’s Chinese lab c**k-up kept the crazed climate catastrophist Greta ‘Chucky’ Doomberg locked up in her native Sweden for over a year. But as Fauci’s Chinese plague declines, the Swedes have unfortunately released Greta ‘Chucky’ Doomberg on the world again.
Here is Chucky with his lookalike – grim-reaper Greta:
I think Chucky is the one on your left? Or perhaps it’s the one on your right? Or maybe it’s difficult to tell as they could be identical twins.
Greta’s Italian job
Chucky, sorry I meant Greta, has been warming up for her cameo role at our Boris’s big international climate catastrophist gabfest – the November Cop26 jamboree in Glasgow – by giving a big speech to her adoring disciples at a youth climate, narcissistic, hot air bletherathon in Milan:
Chucky singled out the UK and US for a supposed lack of action on the supposed ‘climate crisis’.
The United States was responsible for 11 per cent of global C2O2 emissions and the UK accounts for around 1.1 per cent. The world’s largest polluter, Communist China, was strangely absent from Chucky Doomberg’s remarks. The authoritarian regime emitted more than the entire developed world combined in 2019, according to a study from the Rhodium Group, which found that China accounted for 27 per cent of the world’s greenhouse gasses:
(left-click on image and then left-click again to see more clearly)
And, of course, Chucky (like all the other West-hating, diversity-adoring eco-fascists) never mentions that CO2 emissions in the West are decreasing as populations decline due to birth rates falling below replacement levels while the populations of the world’s worst cess-pit countries are doubling every 20 or so years massively increasing the demand for fossil fuels.
But, in spite of Chucky’s mad and erroneous ranting, you can be sure that our media will fawn over her hailing her as the new Messiah and that our rulers will grovel and genuflect to appease her and compete with each other to see who can destroy their economies and our lives fastest in the developed world’s crazed and unnecessary lemming-like stampede to the apparent Nirvana of net zero CO2 emissions.
Intelligent life spotted in Australia?
In the UK, most of our mainstream media now continuously pump out climate catastrophist propaganda. Of course, the lying scum at the BBC and C4 News have always been avid promoters of the crazed climate-crisis doomsday cult. But now even the once respected Times has been recruited to Chucky’s great cause. .
Moreover, judging by their comments, most Times readers also seem to be spit-flecked, zealously-believing converts who furiously shout down anyone daring to question whether an increase in a trace gas from 3 parts per 10,000 of our atmosphere to 4 parts per 10,000 over 150 years really is going to wreck the Earth’s climate and wipe out the human race.
And most recently, since the death of the excellent climate realist Christopher Booker, even the Daily Telegraph has converted to the world’s second most stupid religion (much to the fury of most Telegraph readers).
So, once again, we have to turn to Sky News Australia to find any signs of intelligent life on our planet:
(a slightly different subject today, but hopefully one some readers will find mildly interesting and one which none of the mainstream media will dare touch for reasons that I hope will be obvious)
You’re fired!
Something rather odd is happening in New York State. A mandate came into effect that by Monday evening this week, all the state’s hospital and care home workers had to have had at least one dose of a vaccine against the Chinese Wuhan plague. Following this, hospitals have started suspending and firing hundreds of healthcare workers who refuse to get the vaccines. Any employee of a state-run health care facility who does not receive at least one vaccination dose by the end of the day Monday, barring approved exemptions, “will be immediately suspended,” according to the New York State Department of Health.
For example, Northwell Health, a New York hospital system with over 76,000 employees, said in a statement Tuesday that they have begun a “process to exit all unvaccinated team members.”
Probably over 98% of healthcare workers have complied with the mandate. But there are (I think) over 450,000 healthcare workers in the state, so that still leaves possibly up to 9,000 who for whatever reason either have medical exemptions from the vaccination or else who have some reason have concerns about the vaccines.
We don’t accept liability, no way
Here’s part of the contract which Pfizer uses when making agreements to supply its vaccine to governments:
(left-click on image and then left-click again to see more clearly)
As you’ll see, this includes a clause: “Purchaser further acknowledges that the long-term effects and efficacy of the Vaccine are not currently known and that there may be adverse effects of the Vaccine that are not currently known”
Reassuring?
Personally I have taken the vaccine and will take any boosters as I believe that for my age group the vaccine will reduce the chance of severe symptoms when I do catch the Chinese Wuhan plague as we will all do at some point thanks to the sterling work of Dr Frankenstein Fauci, Peter Daszak and their Chinese chums in a filthy, unhygienic Wuhan lab. But there are good reasons to ask whether younger age groups should be coerced into getting vaccinated against a disease that many of them will not even notice.
The molecules or the method?
We’ve all seen the stories about a few people in every million vaccinated getting heart inflammation or rare blood clots following vaccination. And it seems that there are some people who do suffer severe and even fatal consequences from vaccination. It is assumed that the products in the vaccines are responsible. But there is another theory which I haven’t seen discussed anywhere in the mainstream media – that it is the method of vaccination which may be responsible for the injuries and deaths.
The big ‘aspirate’ question
From the miniscule amount I understand, there are two main types of injection – intravenous (direct into a vein) and intramuscular (into a muscle). Most, if not all, common vaccines are given intramuscularly.
Prior to Xi Pingpong’s Chinese plague each year around 16 billion injections were given worldwide. A large number of these are given via the intramuscular (IM) route. Many nurses have been taught to aspirate before giving an IM injection to ensure the medication is not inadvertently delivered into a vein. Aspiration consists of drawing back on the plunger once the needle has been inserted to see if any blood returns into the syringe. It has been recommended that this negative pressure be sustained for 5–10 seconds.
Aspiration avoids the danger of an intramuscular injection accidentally going directly into a vein.
Aspirating when giving a vaccine is clearly a slightly more complex, time-consuming and a slightly more painful method than just ramming the needle in and vaccinating. In order to vaccinate hundreds of millions against Fauci’s plague, governments in many countries have had to recruit tens of thousands of vaccinators, many with little to no medical experience, and have had to convince hundreds of millions of us to overcome our visceral fear of having painful needles jammed into us. For example, the ludicrously-misnamed World Health Organisation, which allowed the Chinese plague to spread worldwide on the instructions of its Chinese controllers, advises against aspiration “in order to minimise pain”.
This is possibly why most countries have instructed their vaccinators to not bother with the safety precaution of aspirating when vaccinating us.
So, it is possible that the rare severe effects and occasional deaths from the vaccines are being caused by the vaccine accidentally being injected directly into a vein rather than a muscle and not by the actual contents of the vaccines themselves. It may be the shortcuts being taken with vaccinations and not the actual vaccinations which are causing the problems.
Here’s Dr John Campbell explaining this possible conundrum:
(you only need to watch the first few minutes of the video to see where he’s coming from)
Doesn’t it make you proud to be British? Under Boris ‘Churchill’ Johnson’s magnificent leadership, Britain is once again about to save the world. We did it in WWI and again in WWII. And now, as humanity battles the non-existent threat of non-existent climate change or climate crisis or climate emergency or climate breakdown or whatever it’s called this month, Britain is yet again about to sacrifice untold billions and impose huge deprivation and suffering on its own population to supposedly save the world.
Britain saves the world?
Here’s a brief quote from our Government’s International Climate Finance website:
Domestically and internationally the UK is a leader on climate change. We played a pivotal role in securing the Paris Agreement in 2015, where the world came together to agree a plan to limit temperature rises to below 2 degrees. We have reduced our emissions quicker than any other country in the G20, drawing on the depth and breadth of UK low carbon knowledge and expertise and creating new economic opportunities. Since 1990 the UK economy has grown by two thirds while emissions have fallen by over 40%. We have ended UK support for unabated coal power generation and, across the world, UK businesses are helping to make the global low carbon transition a reality.
Doesn’t this make your heart swell with pride? Doesn’t it make you want to jump up and start singing Rule Britannia and yell “Hooray for Boris”?
A few minor niggles?
Of course, there are a few minor problems with the UK’s economically-suicidal Save the Planet crusade such as there being absolutely no evidence at all that an increase in a trace gas CO2 from 3 parts per 10,000 of our atmosphere to 4 parts per 10,000 over 150 years has any effect on the Earth’s climate:
Arctic sea ice at this time of year declined from 1980 to 2007, but has stabilised since the 4 million km2 in 2007 in spite of increasing atmospheric CO2 levels and this year was around 5 million km2
Antarctic ice is increasing by around 82 billion tons a year burying two U.S. research stations and forcing the Americans to build their latest Antarctic research station on hydraulic stilts so it can be raised as the ice increases
Sea levels are NOT rising – for example, the Maldives, which should have been under water three years ago, have a new runway at their main airport to handle larger jets and next year will complete a new passenger terminal increasing capacity from 1 million to over 7 million passengers a year
The polar bears are thriving and may be facing a food crisis as there are too many of them
Flooding in China killed about 78 people this year compared to a couple of million a hundred years ago
U.S. forest fires are only burning about a quarter of the acreage burnt in the scorching 1920s and 1930s when atmospheric CO2 levels were much lower than they are now
We are in the middle of an interglacial caused by Milankovitch Cycles so one would expect a slight warming
And. of course, the computer models used by the climate catastrophists and governments to impose their coercive, economically-ruinous climate policies on us hugely overestimate (about doubling) the actual amount of warming:
Who cares about reality?
But our rulers’, the West-hating lefties’ and our deluded, indoctrinated schoolchildren’s climate catastrophism is impervious to reality. It’s a semi-religious cult which relies on feelings and belief rather than anything as sordid as rational, scientific analysis. And so, onwards we rush like lemmings to our self-inflicted economic impoverishment while the Chinese laugh their hairy yellow asses off at our stupidity:
Here’s a link to our Government’s climate change website should you be interested in more details about our useless Government’s total uselessness:
By the way, a couple of months ago I sent copies of my latest book THERE IS NO CLIMATE CRISIS to several Tory MPs:
John Redwood
Greg Clark
Steve Baker
Tom Tugendhat
Christopher Chope
I had hoped that maybe a couple of them would have the intelligence to realise that my book was quite important as it could help prevent our country committing economic and societal suicide. In my dimwitted, childish naivety I even imagined that a couple of them might have had the wit to tell their colleagues about the book and the courage to inform Boris ‘Churchill’ Johnson that he needs to stop all his self-destructive, idiotic climate catastrophist nonsense and start dealing with the real problems affecting Britain.
How wrong I was expecting intelligence and courage from our (IMHO) mostly greedy, expenses-fiddling, self-serving, sycophantic, scientifically-challenged, worthless, Ed-Miliband-think-alike, waste-of-skin MPs!
Still, at least Sky News Australia realises how stupid we are in the UK:
In my last blog I unkindly suggested that the $100bn-a-year fund to supposedly help supposedly poor countries supposedly fight the supposedly terrible effects of supposed climate change or climate crisis or climate breakdown or climate emergency or whatever it’s called this week might magically disappear into the offshore bank accounts of already billionaire Third-World rulers. So I started thinking of how we could transform the world’s poorest, most cess-pit, poverty-stricken, hopeless hell-hole – Africa – into the world’s wealthiest and most successful continent. And I came up with a cunning plan.
Here it is:
The transformation of Africa?
My plan is very simple. We just need to move the whole population of Europe to Africa and the whole population of Africa to Europe. Given Africa’s massive resources of minerals and agricultural land, within 30 or so years, the Europeans would have completely transformed Africa. There would be new roads, railways, airports, factories, hospitals, schools, universities and much much more. There would be democratic governments and more equitable societies. There would be a new, flourishing Africa.
Simple but brilliant, huh?
The transformation of Europe?
As for Europe – surely the arrival of so many hard-working, highly-educated, highly-skilled, ambitious Africans would provide a rejuvenation of tired, flagging, flaccid Europe? Just imagine all the enrichment that the new arrivals would bring with their vibrant, diverse cultures! This would surely be a new golden era for our declining continent?
The destruction of Europe?
Of course, there will always be miserable, pessimistic cynics who might cast doubt on how glorious the Africanisation of Europe would be. Such evil people (I imagine) might think that Africanisation of Europe might not be a magnificent success. Such despicable people might (I imagine) even envisage the Africanisation of Europe might lead to Europe being utterly destroyed in four main overlapping but clearly distinguishable phases:
Phase 1 – Breakdown in utilities
As various African tribes took over power in each European country, they would naturally appoint members of their own tribe to run utilities such as electricity, gas and water. So the people running these vital services would owe their positions to their membership of a tribe rather than their knowledge or skills. Any ideas of doing maintenance would be abandoned and there would be corruption at all levels as everyone sought to enrich themselves. Essential spares would be sold off to make money for managers and workers at all levels and power cuts and water supply problems would become daily occurrences.
Phase 2 – The rise of a criminalocracy
Criminal gangs would soon take over every area, neighbourhood, street and even every apartment building. These gangs would live off theft, extortion, drug-dealing and control of things like gambling and prostitution. There would be constant gang warfare as rival gangs fought over the most lucrative territories:
Tortured, dismembered bodies would be left in streets or hanging from bridges as a warning of what happens to anyone resisting the gangs’ rule or straying onto a rival gang’s territory.
The few people with proper jobs would lock themselves in their homes every night to avoid the mayhem in the streets. But even there they would not be safe as gang members would go from home to home extorting protection money. Any young, attractive girls would be taken by gang bosses to be raped by them and leased out to gang members. To understand how this would look, I recommend the recent (February 2021) novel – AMERICAN DIRT by Jeanine Cummins – describing the joys of gang rule in South America:
Phase 3 – The collapse of public services
The main public services – healthcare, education, social care etc etc – would undergo the same fate as utilities like water, gas and electricity. Most positions of power would be occupied by people appointed for their tribal affiliations rather than their abilities or qualifications. There would be corruption at all levels. Money intended for hospitals schools and universities would be looted. For example, a few years ago tens of millions of dollars were give to South Africa to buy school textbooks but all the money mysteriously disappeared without a single book ever being bought. Gradually most hospitals, schools and universities would cease to function and only members of the ruling elites and their families would have access to healthcare and education.
Phase 4 – Civil wars
In many countries, the ruling tribes would oppress other tribes by excluding them from the lucrative positions in government, public services and industry. This would cause resentment and anger which would lead to oppressed tribes staging violent coups to overthrow the ruling tribes as they followed the motto of most African coups – “It’s our turn to feed”.
The new rulers would then install their members to the most lucrative positions and loot whatever remained. And so would begin a seemingly endless cycle of bloody, armed coups followed by mass looting and destruction of each country’s resources:
The future is wonderful
Of course, being one million percent politically-correct, I totally reject this pessimistic view of a four-phased breakdown of civilisation and then destruction of Europe that would ensue from my great plan.
Making Flop26 another disaster for us stupid taxpayers?
As you’ll all know, our wonderful prime minister, Boris the Brave, is busy battling away at the UN in New York trying to save us all from supposed climate breakdown. (Yes, last week it was called “Climate Crisis”, but now we apparently must use the term “Climate Breakdown” to show how serious the situation has become).
A key element of Bunter’s crusade is ensuring a $100bn-a-year fund to be paid by industrialised countries to developing countries to help them supposedly fight supposed climate breakdown. And the British mainstream media is already gushing with praise for Braveheart Boris by claiming that he was influential in convincing walking cadaver, President Joe Biden, to increase the amount US taxpayers would have to stump up from $5.6bn a year to $11.4bn a year. Meanwhile we in Britain will be paying $3bn a year into this $100bn-a-year bonanza for the world’s most cess-pit countries. It’s amazing how generous politicians are with our money.
There’s no room here to explain why the whole idea of this $100bn-a-year fund is an act of intergalactic stupidity. But I’ll just touch on two main problems
Problem 1 – What climate breakdown?
As I explain in quite some detail in my most recent book – THERE IS NO CLIMATE CRISIS – there is no climate crisis. There is no climate breakdown. So there’s absolutely no need for splaffing $100bn of Western taxpayers’ money a year on something that isn’t happening.
FFS, how can anyone believe that an increase in a trace gas (CO2) from 3 parts per 10,000 of our atmosphere to 4 parts per 10,000 over 150 years is going to drastically change the Earth’s climate and wipe out most of mankind? The whole concept is ludicrous.
Anyway, if you’re dumb enough to believe in the Greenhouse Gas theory, then why aren’t you worried about water vapour. Water vapour makes up over 90% of the Earth’s greenhouse gases. Even the ludicrously-politicised IPCC (Inter-Governmental Panel on Climate Change) highlights the importance of water vapour: “Water vapour is the most abundant and important greenhouse gas in the atmosphere”. But you’ll never hear the climate catastrophists mention that as it demolishes their claims of CO2 being the main driver of our climate.
The catastrophists also tend not to mention the Sun and the effect of variations in the Earth’s orbit and in solar activity on the Earth’s climate:
I could go on and on and on and on – but I’ve already covered the truth about the Climate Breakdown delusion/psychosis in my book.
Problem 2 – Corruption, corruption, corruption ……….
Here’s a brief quote from my 2015 book – THE GREAT CHARITY SCANDAL
In Europe, after the Second World War the US-sponsored Marshall Plan is generally credited for helping war-ravaged European countries to rebuild and become prosperous. So some people have demanded a ‘Marshall Plan for Africa’. There’s only one problem with this demand. Africa has already had its Marshall Plan – several times over. In the last fifty years Africa has been given the equivalent of around ten Marshall Plans. In today’s money, the five-year European Marshall Plan saw about $100 billion – $20 billion a year – being used to rebuild Europe after WWII. In the last fifty years, Africa has received over $1 trillion in aid. So, Africa received about the same every year – $20 billion a year – for fifty years that Europe received each year for just five years. Yet there’s little evidence that those countries getting the most aid have benefited from this aid and a quarter of Sub-Saharan countries, including some of the world’s greatest recipients of foreign aid, are now poorer than they were in 1960.
Where has all this money gone? Where are all the new hospitals and schools and roads and universities and power stations and all the other modern facilities we in the West have paid for again and again and again? The table below might give more than a hint as to were all our money has gone:
The organisation Transparency International has estimated that every year African rulers loot three times as much as their countries receive in foreign aid and foreign investment.
So, what do you think will happen to the $100bn a year that we in the developed countries are forced to hand over to the world’s most corrupt and venal scum to supposedly save their countries from supposed Climate Breakdown?
Just another day in glorious Africa?
And if Boris and Joe get their $100bn-a-year cash extravaganza, here to cheer us all up is just one illustration of what will really happen to all our cash that we will be forced ship off to supposedly save the world’s poorest countries from the supposedly disastrous effects of supposed climate breakdown.
(Hopefully readers of a certain age will recognise the title of today’s blog from a 1966 Mamas and Papas song – California Dreaming)
The Good News and the Bad News
The good news is that our wonderful government is turning Britain into a version of California. But that’s also the bad news.
In Chapter 13 “The West’s Economic Suicide” of my latest book – THERE IS NO CLIMATE CRISIS – I quote a Forbes Magazine article about energy-rich California’s energy crisis:
California now imports most of its crude oil from overseas (since the extraction of its ample local oil resources are practically banned) and it imports nearly a third of its electricity from neighbouring states (since nuclear and natural gas-fuelled power plants are progressively shutdown by legislation). Between 2011 and 2017, California’s electricity prices rose five times faster than they did nationally and now Californians pay 60 percent more, on average, than the rest of the nation, for residential, commercial and industrial electricity.’
The UK’s absurd and pointless Greeny policies of wrecking our energy supply to supposedly ‘save the planet’ has caused gas prices to more than triple (up 324%) in just a year forcing industries (steel and fertiliser) to shut down, resulting in a shortage of the supposed ‘climate killer’ gas CO2 and threatening us with a winter of soaring energy prices, food shortages and power cuts. This is in spite of the UK sitting on centuries-worth of abundant gas (from fracking) and coal (from mining) and having world-beating nuclear power technology that can easily and quickly be adapted from our nuclear-powered submarines to build small local nuclear power stations.
Commenting on California’s disastrous woke, supposedly environmentally-friendly failure to use its own energy, a spokesperson from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency said:
California’s record of rolling blackouts – unprecedented in size and scope – coupled with recent requests to neighbouring states for power begs the question of how you expect to run an electric car fleet, that will come with significant increases in electricity demand, when you can’t even keep the lights on today.
Sounds familiar? Truly our Government seems to be turning Britain into a version of California but without the blue skies and sunshine and beaches and cute California bikini-clad blondes:
And demolishing a country’s energy supplies has consequences. As I write in my book:
Partly due to increasing energy prices along with other high-tax, anti-business, ultra-woke policies, between June 2019 and June 2020, around 135,000 people left the once ‘Golden State’. Moreover, Oracle, Palantir and Hewlett-Packard Enterprise were among the estimated 13,000 companies that have moved out of California since 2014 and relocated to more business-friendly states like Texas.
Just to illustrate the problem, here’s a photo of Los Angeles today:
Not many bikini-clad blondes here.
I could hardly have been be clearer in my warning in THERE IS NO CLIMATE CRISIS when I did a whole chapter on The West’s Economic Suicide.
The only thing I got wrong was that I didn’t expect the implosion to happen so quickly. Though it’s wonderful that Britain is turning into a cold, wet version of energy-rich but energy-starved, collapsing California just a few weeks before Boris’s big virtue-signalling, climate-alarmist, pointless, posturing Crap26 climate conference in miserable, sunshine-challenged Glasgow.
It would be rather amusing if Boris and Princess Nut Nut had to hold their hugely important, ego-boosting planet-saving conference by candle-light in an unheated conference centre in Sturgeon’s drugs-ridden, slum-city, dismal Glasgow.
To cheer us all up as our incompetent rulers, enthusiastically egged on by all our mainstream media (especially the BBC, C4 News, Sky News and the Times), take a climate catastrophist wrecking ball to our country and our lives, here are the Mamas and Papas with California Dreaming:
As the UK rushes headlong towards the ‘renewable energy’ Nirvana which obsesses our scientifically-challenged, Greta-worshipping rulers, our climate catastrophist media seem somewhat reluctant to mention the practical economically-disastrous consequences.
Firstly, there seems to be little understanding that our energy prices are already over three times those in China and India precisely because we use lots of expensive and unreliable supposedly ‘green’ supposedly ‘renewable’ energy:
(household energy prices $/kw/h)
Moreover, calling wind power ‘renewable’ is farcical given that an average bird-massacring wind turbine reportedly needs at least 500 tonnes of steel, 2,000 tonnes of concrete, 30 tonnes of fibreglass, 15 tonnes of copper and 20 tonnes of cast iron. That’s an awful lot of stuff to be manufactured and transported at massive cost to electricity users and the environment.
We can see the economic cost of supposedly ‘free’ supposedly ‘renewable’ energy on British businesses:
(left click on charts and then left click again to see more clearly)
I realise that our politicians are incapable of understanding Economics 101. But if UK energy costs rise, UK business become less competitive, companies close down and jobs are exported to countries with lower energy prices. Just this week, two British fertilizer companies shut down as it was uneconomical to produce fertilizer given high UK gas prices.
So British jobs have been lost and next year we’ll probably have to import fertilizer from abroad. I wonder if the Greenies and our political leaders have thought about the economic and environmental effects of that?
Also, at least one UK steel mill has been cutting production – again due to high UK energy prices. And I believe our aluminium industry closed down a few years ago.
Moreover, due to a fire at one of the sub-stations importing French power, this winter we might well see power cuts in the UK for the first time since the 1984 miners’ strike.
China’s masterstroke?
Connected to the UK’s and the West’s self-inflicted climate catastrophist economic suicide, we have the rise and rise and rise of an increasingly aggressive communist China.
Here’s a nice picture showing the USA’s vs China’s share of world trade between 2000 and 2020:
Looks like our ultra-woke, selfie-obsessed, climatically-challenged, politically-correct, gender-fluid, snowflake teenagers had better start learning how to grovel in Chinese.
As summer – yes the the few hot days we had before the cold and rain started yet again, that was our supposedly ‘catastrophic global warming’ summer – becomes a distant memory, we’re being warned that our beloved, envy-of-the-world NHS is facing its “worst winter ever”:
Fourth Covid wave and up to 60,000 flu deaths could leave NHS facing ‘worst winter EVER’, experts warn
Luckily for NHS bosses, most of us have very short memories. So we don’t remember the warnings from 2013 – long before Fauci and the Chinese had even created their Xi Pingpong Wuhan plague – Top doctors warn of ‘worst winter’ in hospitals as A&E crisis grows
Plus, in 2019, just before the Wuhan plague accidentally leaked from a filthy, unhygienic Chinese lab due to the slovenly hygiene standards of the lazy, corrupt Chinese we were once again warned about the coming winter – NHS is facing one its “bleakest” winters
Am I the only person beginning to see the emergence of a pattern here? Am I the only person who has noticed that, as soon as our pathetic excuse for a summer is over, NHS bosses (usually ably assisted by the Guardian) start leaking scare stories about the coming winter being “the worst winter ever”?
Looking at how frequently NHS bosses predict “the worst winter ever”, a cynic might start to wonder whether the “worst winter ever” story is just part of an extortion racket designed to terrify us and thus to put pressure on the Government to pour ever more tens of billions of our money into the voracious jaws of our wasteful, self-serving, over-bureaucratic, horrifically mismanaged National Health Service.
Hooray! It’s World Afro Day
You might not have been aware of this, but today – 15 September – is World Afro Day.
“World Afro Day is a global day of change, education and celebration of Afro hair; endorsed by the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human rights. We work with families, schools and authorities to tackle discrimination against Afro hair. We carry out research, create events and produce resources to empower people with Afro hair and raise awareness in wider society.” Michelle De Leon, Founder of World Afro Day.
I won’t dare to suggest how we might celebrate this important day as my comments might border on being more than slightly politically-incorrect.
There was a brief burst of outrage last week by those who spend their lives trying to find something to be outraged about. The reason for the outrage was a new report on levels of youth unemployment by ethnicity from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
“Black youths three times more likely to be unemployed” screamed the Independent
And the BBC and C4 News and the Guardian and ITV and the TUC and others of their ilk all piled onto the story. After all, here was supposedly yet another documented example of how appallingly racist we Brits are and how hideously we oppress black people.
(Though given how supposedly ‘racist’ we are, it’s surprising that most of the cesspit Third World still seems to want to come to Britain ably assisted by the grovellingly politically-correct RNLI and Priti ‘Useless’ Patel’s free luxury ferry service from French beaches to 4-star hotels in the UK)
But I looked at the original figures published by the ONS. And I found that the ONS report detailed youth unemployment by ethnicity. Not just blacks versus whites.

It seems ‘odd’ to me that the outraged howling about how many blacks youths were unemployed compared to whites didn’t mention unemployment rates amongst other ethnic groups.
Though, if they had mentioned other ethnic groups, then that would have raised some potentially uncomfortable questions such as:
if we Brits are all hideous racists, why is unemployment amongst Indians (mostly Hindus and Sikhs, I imagine) so much lower than unemployment among black youths?
why is unemployment amongst Indians (mostly Hindus and Sikhs) so much lower than amongst Pakistanis (mostly from the world’s most wonderful religion)?
why is unemployment amongst blacks so much higher than amongst every single other ethnic group apart from Pakistanis?
There was also another oddity with this report. In ONS reports of adult unemployment, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis (both from our most admired religion) are grouped together. But in this report on youth unemployment Bangladeshis are grouped in with other Asians like Filipinos and Chinese. I wonder why that could be? I would have also liked to see unemployment levels amongst Chinese youth as I suspect these would be close to zero. I also suspect unemployment amongst Jewish youth would also have been close to zero.
The lying mainstream media misleadingly chose to only focus on black versus white levels of unemployment as this fed into their narrative of us whites being rabid, unreformable anti-black racists. But had the media done what I have done and looked at differences between various ethnic groups, then a quite different story emerges – most other ethnic groups have been much more successful at integrating into our society than blacks and Pakistanis.
Ooops, that’s possibly due to cultural differences rather than white anti-black racism
Ooops, those cultural differences could touch on how different ethnic groups value things like education and getting good jobs
Ooops, that’s something nobody wants to discuss
Ooops, that could even suggest that the fault for high levels of unemployment amongst UK blacks and Pakistanis lies with them and not with us whites being horrible racists.
I thought it worth quoting the latest review of my book THERE IS NO CLIMATE CRISIS posted on Amazon:
Thankfully, this author’s type of blinkered attitude is now going the way of the dinosaur. But he has such a deep level of misunderstanding that I doubt he’ll ever realise.
I find this review odd. I don’t mind people criticising the book for being badly-written or poorly-organised or boring. But the one thing I really focus on in all my books is being factually correct and avoiding unfounded opinions.
If a climate-change-touting supposed ‘journalist’ claims that 10 million acres of forest in the U.S. being destroyed in wildfires is a record and I find an article from the very same newspaper from 50 or 60 years earlier reporting that 21 million acres had been destroyed, then to me that is a fact. It’s not an opinion. Similarly, if I document a U.S. Government report from 1999 showing that the scorching 1920s and 1930s were much hotter than any recent years and then show a report where temperatures have been altered to supposedly ‘prove’ that recent temperatures are hotter than the scorching 1920s and 1930s, for me that’s a fact, not an opinion.
Yet this reviewer doesn’t dare question any of the facts in my book. They only lambast my ‘attitude’.
Could it be because the reviewer has no answer to the facts and data I present?
Paradise for the NHS penpushers
What a wonderful week it has been for the useless, overpaid, over-pensioned NHS penpushers. Our socialist government has decided to tax us all ever more to flush billions of pounds more into the bottomless pit of the NHS.
No doubt, you’ll all have heard that the first and most immediate result of our enforced financial largesse will be the creation of 42 new apparatchiks all being a paid an average of over £220,000 a year. Just so you can enjoy seeing where your money is being squandered, here’s a link to the website advertising these new desk-jockey non-jobs:
But remember, the salaries of over £220,000 a year are just the proverbial tip of the proverbial iceberg of money these worthless nonentities are going to cost us. You have to add in National Insurance and pension costs. So that probably takes you close to £300,000 per penpusher.
Then each of these CEOs of Integrated Care Organisations will need offices and probably a Deputy CEO, two administrative assistants, several liaison officers, a finance team, a publicity team, an IT team, an HR team. And travelling and subsistence expenses, and training.
So, I reckon each of these 42 ‘key’ individuals will cost us at least £1m per year
As one NHS insider wrote on a newspaper website: ‘As for NHS bureaucracy, the vast bulk of this money will go on overtime for staff and hiring people to “manage” how this money is spent, usually on high salaries. But that is no different from a normal day in the NHS, it is a voracious hirer of managers. Basically, what will happen is this, jobs will be advertised, the posts will be filled internally, so everyone gets a promotion and pay rise. More staff means more HR, Health and Safety and “Diversity” managers. If you’re lucky, the Surgical and Medical teams will agree to put on a few more clinics and a few more theatre sessions. Usually defined in theaters by whether anesthetists get OT for doing it. The Consultants will blackmail the “management” by demanding they buy the latest toys or it’s no deal. That is how it works, I’ve been there.’
Here’s a comment from another NHS insider: ‘I’m willing to bet that the people appointed to these new roles will already be employed in similar roles within the NHS. They just create a new role, needing a new department which will need a bigger budget than the last one, so they are thus more important and so should go up a pay band. End result is more money spent on non clinical activities and no improvements to patient outcomes. It’s always been like this…’
Ever fewer beds need ever more managers
In my 2009 book SQUANDERED: How Gordon Brown is wasting over one trillion of our money I pointed out how under New Labour the number of NHS hospital beds had dropped from around 200,000 when there were about 25,000 hospital managers (8 beds per manager) to about 140,000 hospital beds overseen by over 40,000 managers (3.5 beds per manager):
Welcome to ‘Gammon’s Law’
We all know about Parkinson’s Law – the adage that “work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion”. It is usually applied to the growth of bureaucracy in an organisation.
And we all know the Peter Principle – the concept in management developed by Laurence J. Peter which observes that people in a hierarchy tend to rise to their “maximum level of incompetence”: employees are promoted based on their success in previous jobs until they reach a level at which they are no longer competent, as skills in one job do not necessarily translate to another.
When admiring the NHS bureaucracy we can also add Gammon’s Law. Gammon’s Law is what Milton Friedman has named the “Theory of Bureaucratic Displacement” developed by Dr Max Gammon after studying the British National Health Service. In his words, in “a bureaucratic system … increase in expenditure will be matched by fall in production ….” Such systems will act rather like ‘black holes’ in the economic universe, simultaneously sucking in resources, and shrinking in terms of ’emitted’ production.
Under Gammons’ Law – input (money, resources or whatever) goes up while output goes down.
So, in a couple of years, when tens of billions more are sprayed all over our ever more prodigal NHS without any visible increase in outputs and we’re yet again hectored into spraying tens of billions more, remember Dr Max Gammon. He warned us that we would get precisely nothing from shovelling an endless torrent of our cash into the gaping jaws of our ‘envy-of-the-world’ NHS.
