By David Craig, on August 4th, 2011 Over the next few days, our schoolchildren will be getting their exam results. As usual they will show that more children than ever before have achieved the highest grades. Teachers’ leaders and government ministers will claim this shows what a wonderful job they are doing. Meanwhile, Britain’s employers will continue giving four out of every five new jobs to immigrants because British teenagers are too ignorant, illiterate, innumerate and ill-disciplined to qualify for even the most basic jobs.
Someone is lying about the effectiveness of our education system – and it’s not British employers.
By David Craig, on August 3rd, 2011 The useless, expenses-fiddling MPs on the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) have finally realised that the £7bn NHS IT system is a disaster and will never work. In my 2006 book Plundering the Public Sector, I explained that the NHS IT system could never work, why it could never work and why it should be abandonned. Now 6 years and about £4bn wasted later, the PAC have understood what I wrote about. In 2006, I was in contact with MP Richard Bacon about the utter useleness of the NHS IT system and I even had a meeting with the head of the National Audit Office, Sir John Bourne.
Of course, these leading lights of our ruling elite ingored my warnings about the NHS IT system and at least £4bn has been squandered. Perhaps our MPs and Sir John were too busy living the high life on their taxpayer-funded expenses to make any effort to stop the NHS IT disaster.
By David Craig, on August 2nd, 2011 If you’re saving for a pension, you probably get a projection each year from your pension company showing that you’ll have an enormous amount saved up by the time you retire if you continue giving them your money. Problem is that the figures they use for your projection are pure fantasy and can never be achieved. The Financial Services Authority allows pension companies to use three growth rates in their projections – Low-5%: Medium-7%: High-9%. But pension funds have only managed to grow by about 4% over the last 20 to 30 years. Then you have to take off the pension fund’s management charges which will usually eat up about three quarters of any growth achieved
Lesson to be learned – there are few liars on earth quite as brazen as pension funds out to get your money to make their owners and managers multi-millionaires at your expense.
By David Craig, on August 1st, 2011 As this year’s monsoon season starts, some politically correct BBC reporter has been bleating and moaning about the fact that hundreds of thousands of Pakistani families are still homeless a year after last year’s devastating monsoon floods. Of course this is a tragedy. But it’s also a crime. What the BBC fool didn’t mention was the mysterious disappearance of the hundreds of millions of dollars in aid which was sent to Pakistan after the floods. And what happened to the hundreds of millions we sent after the Pakistan earthquake the year before? This money too seems to have vanished.
Pakistan has repeatedly been shown to be one of the most corrupt countries in the world by Transparency International. UN studies indicate that around 90% of all aid sent to Pakistan is stolen by corrupt politicians, bureaucrats and businessmen. When the aid agencies come round this year yet again with their begging bowls, just remember – all we are doing is making rich people in the Third World richer.
By David Craig, on July 31st, 2011 The government’s latest plan to cut public spending is just as stupid as its previous efforts. Around 7,000 civilian staff at the MoD will lose their jobs. Firstly it should be said that the MoD is one of the most overstaffed and incompetent government departments. So I’m sure many of those going richly deserve their P45s. However, all that will happen will be a redundancy feeding frenzy which will cost much us taxpayers more than it will save. So public spending will actually increase rather than going down. Duh!
If only the government had a bit of imagination, it would put all MoD staff on a 3-day week. That would save about £46m every week and there would be no redundancy costs. Then gradually as people retired, overall staff costs would reduce. But unfortunately our chancellor and his overpaid advisers haven’t the brain power to realise that the way they are going about reducing public spending will only increase it.
By David Craig, on July 30th, 2011 Sales of my latest book Pillaged have been worse than dismal. I don’t really understand why. I only get about 20p a book, so it only affects my pride and not my pocket if people don’t buy Pillaged. But I wrote the book to try to warn people about how over £400m a day is being looted from their savings and pensions and to show how people could ensure that more of their money remained in their own bank accounts rather than ending up in the pockets of financial services insiders.
I believe that most people buying the book will be able to save more than £5,000 each from using some of the things I discovered while writing the book. It seems to me that spending just £7 or so to save over £5,000 is a pretty good investment.
By David Craig, on July 29th, 2011 Are multimillionaire politicians David Cameron and George Osborne lying when they claim ‘we’re all in this together’? Is Rebekah Brooks lying when she claims to know nothing about phone hacking? Is Sebastian Coe lying when he claims the 2012 Olympics are under budget when spends over £9bn against an original budget of around £4bn? Did James Murdoch lie when he was questioned by MPs? Did Tony Blair lie when he took us to war in Iraq? Is Ed Balls lying when he tries to blame the economic crisis for the fact that he and the mad incompetent idiot Brown had already bankrupted Britain before the economic crisis hit us? Are our politicians lying when they say British troops are beating Afghani freedom fighters? Are our leaders lying when they claim British lives lost in Afghanistan have served some useful purpose? Are our greedy, self-serving, pompous European Union leaders like Ashton, Barroso and the ridiculous Van Rompuy lying to us when they claim they are acting in our interests rather than just filling their pockets with our money?
Who is lying? Who is telling the truth? I don’t know.
By David Craig, on July 28th, 2011 Cecil Coley, the 72 year old shopkeeper who stabbed a 30 year old armed robber to death, should get a medal for ridding the world of a piece of worthless scum. It’s a huge pity he didn’t manage to kill the other scumbag robber. Yet our useless, politically-correct police have arrested Mr Coley on suspicion of murder.
Just more evidence that our pathetic police seem more interested in protecting the ‘yuman roights’ of criminal garbage than in working for people who obey the law. Today every thick-headed, dimwitted cop should hang their heads in shame.
By David Craig, on July 27th, 2011 Is Gaddafi winning? After the combined ‘might’ of NATO (that’s meant to be a joke) has been unleashed on him and his regime, Gaddafi shows no sign of giving up. When I say ‘combined might of NATO’ I mean a few clapped out British planes sent by Liar Cameron supported by the cowardly efforts of Nicholas ‘Smallcock’ Sarkozy’s cheese-eating surrender monkeys. Gaddafi may be a useless, brutal, corrupt, incompetent, greedy, deluded, pompous, self-aggrandising fool – but then what Arab or, when you come to think of it, African leader isn’t? If we were to get rid of all the corrupt, incompetent, farcical dictators in Africa, then there wouldn’t be any country left with a government.
So, Liar Cameron, as you fly off on your summer hols, what about your great Libyan war? How many more months or years will it carry on? It’s time to leave Libya alone and let the Arabs get on with killing each other – it’s about the only thing they seem interested in doing.
By David Craig, on July 24th, 2011 As we move towards the 2102 Games, grovelling, politically-correct journalists at the BBC have been gushing about the great triumph achieved by the overpaid olympocrats who are wasting billions of our money. The Olympics are ‘on schedule and under budget’ one hack bleated. Really? The buildings are going to cost about £7.35bn. The whole event around £9.3bn. Most of this will be taken from ordinary taxpayers. Perhaps the creep from the BBC forgot that the original budget was just around £4.5bn with only £2.3bn coming from taxpayers? And worse, the olympocrats are now planning to give themselves huge bonuses for completing the project ‘on schedule and under budget’.
If we didn’t have to pay for the Olympics, we’d hardly need to make any public-spending cuts. But BBC journalists wailing about the cuts don’t ever mention that. The Olympics – a British triumph? No, just more lies from our overpaid, over-pampered ruling elite who know that the British are so stupid that they’ll believe anything our rulers tell them.
