(Sunday/Monday blog)
I don’t quite understand what’s happening or whether we’re allowed to comment as I believe the Government have issued some kind of ban on media reporting.
I believe a certain advocate for free speech was arrested by no fewer than 7 politically-correct plods a couple of days ago, rushed to court, tried, convicted and whisked off to Hull prison in just a couple of hours to serve a 13-month prison sentence. Given who the person is, we can expect a “Kevin Crehan” – the man who mysteriously died in prison after being convicted for leaving a bacon sandwich in a place where it offended certain people. As far as I understand any Brit should be free to leave a bacon sandwich anywhere he or she wants and the only crime they should be liable for is littering. If some people don’t like bacon sandwiches, surely that is their problem? It doesn’t make leaving a bacon sandwich a crime meriting a death sentence.
Here’s what Rod Liddle in the Spectator had to say about the arrest that we may or may not be able to mention:
The founder of the English Defence League, Tommy Robinson, turned up in Leeds on Thursday to film people going into the trial of several Muslim men accused of “grooming” and sexually assaulting white girls. He did not speak, chant, accost anyone or do anything other than point his mobile phone at attendees, from a distance. Nor was he with a crowd. Still, seven coppers turned up and bundled him into a paddy-wagon accusing him of a breach of the peace.
I’m not remotely a fan of Robinson. But I do not like the idea that simply being Robinson is enough to get you arrested. Or that writing something in defence of Robinson puts you somehow beyond the pale. Also, wouldn’t it have been lovely if West Yorkshire Police had acted with as much rigour and alacrity when they were first told of the horrific sexual assaults taking place within their community.
And here’s a protest outside Downing Street which you won’t see reported on the BBC or C4 News. In fact, the video below comes from the English-language Russian TV news – we can no longer rely on British TV news to tell us anything remotely approaching the truth!!!!! Shocking and shameful!!!!!
By the way, I have just followed a reader’s advice and Googled “Judge Geoffrey Marson QC -Tommy Robinson”. The result – not a single mention of the Tommy Robinson case or gagging order. It seems like our increasingly fascist and free-speech suppressing government’s censorship is pretty effective. Shame on our country!!!!
I am not a member of any organisation.I am just a
pensioner. I have been in a war for this country.
But now, have we become a police state? What they have
done to Tommy Robinson makes me ashamed to be English.
I will never trust a policeman again.
David, it was always the case that the “news” is what they want to tell you. Thank goodness we have the internet now to make their old fashioned gagging orders ineffective.
I feel sorry for those officers at Downing Street having to defend the government trying to prevent freedom of speech
if you google – Judge Geoffrey Marson QC -Tommy Robinson
you get the full story including a copy of his gagging order -preventing the national press from reporting the case.
Marson’s press gagging order has been defeated . Thanks to the Guardian of liberty the internet.

I came across an American novelist’s blog and he’s also pretty pissed off at what’s happening in ‘Perfidious Albion’
He finishes:
I sent Theresa May an email:
‘Take Robinson out of jail, nullify his sentencing, permit him his freedom as a journalist. Or are you more concerned about sucking up to the ragheads and the EU bureaucrats! You are contemptible! You’re no Churchill or Margaret Thatcher, you are a craven, power-lusting coward!’
