By David Craig, on November 4th, 2009 Another day, more British lives wasted in Afghanistan. This time five of our troops die to support an utterly incompetent, corrupt, drug-dealing bunch of crooks all getting rich while British troops are slaughtered for no purpose at all.
Does our prime minister care? Of course not, he’s got more important things to think about like saving his own political skin.
Bring our troops home now!
By David Craig, on November 3rd, 2009 Just when you thought the worst, most dishonest prime minister in British history couldn’t sink any lower, we find that Gordon Brown has phoned ‘President’ Karzai to congratulate him on his ‘election victory’. So is this why over 200 British soldiers have died?
Bring our troops home and stop wasting British lives saving the skins of two of the most repulsive, corrupt and disgraced politicians in the world.
By David Craig, on October 31st, 2009 The discraceful former Second Home Secretary Jacqui Smith has now admitted that claiming a small bedroom in her sister’s home as her main residence was a ‘mistake’. Of course, she has no intention of ever giving us any of our money back. And our pathetic excuse of a Prime Minister will let her get away with her thieving of hundreds of thousands of pounds of our money. Let’s hope that come the next election, her constituents remember Jacqui’s greed and dishonesty and throw her out.
The problem is that at the election the contemptible Brown will bounce Jacqui up into the Lords. Then she’ll flip her home back to her constituency house so that she can start claiming her House of Lords allowances for nights spent in London. Jacqui will then be able to siphon off taxpayers’ money to her heart’s content for the rest of her days.
Yes, Jacqui’s about to flip and you read it first here.
By David Craig, on October 31st, 2009 This week, Britain’s most famous man, Simon Cowell, is being splashed all over the press as a truly caring person thanks to his support for a children’s hospice. Some people may applaud Mr. Cowell for his charitable works. Others might be tempted to think that if Mr. Cowell really had a charitable nature, he would have kept his generosity to himself and that this is just another cynical PR exercise by a man who will use anybody (even dying kids) or anything to promote himself and his contrived, tired-looking TV shows.
By David Craig, on October 27th, 2009 It looks horrifyingly possible that our very own Anthony ‘Tony’ Blair may become president of the EU. As Brussels is a world leader in corruption, waste, greed, lies, lack of democracy, self-interest and contempt for ordinary voters, Blair becoming president looks like a match made in heaven.
On another note, thanks to Nick Griffin we now discover that Jack Straw’s father possibly had a yellow streak as wide as the Atlantic Ocean/a strong moral compass (delete as appropriate) as he refused to fight in the Second World War being a coward/conscientious objector (delete as appropriate). Yet our Jack seems to have been heavily supportive of ‘President’ Blair’s reasons/spin/lies (delete as appropriate) around the illegal invasion of Iraq. Well, as they say ‘like father like son’.
By David Craig, on October 23rd, 2009 If you want smug, have a chat with your local Tory candidate. The Conservatives are triumphalist, already convinced they have the next election in the bag. But they’re about to be outflanked by Labour. By the time of the election, Britain will be coming out of recession. The Tories will still be promising ‘painful’ spending cuts, while Labour will be able to claim that their public spending splurge can continue. Never underestimate the stupidity of British voters – they’ll forget the damage Labour has done and go for the easy option. After all, Mandelson has more intelligence and cunning in his little finger than there is in the whole Tory party.
By David Craig, on September 23rd, 2009 My latest book Fleeced! has just been published. It tells the horror story how the politicians, bureaucrats and bankers have all been lining their pockets with about £3 trillion of our money and how they’re going to keep on ripping us off whoever gets into power at the next election.
I also propose how we can fight back against the arrogant, self-serving, corrupt ruling elite. We are all held in contempt by our greedy, avaricious rulers – it’s time to show them that we’ll not allow ourselves to be robbed by them any longer.
By David Craig, on September 8th, 2009 Today we got even more evidence of Speaker Bercow’s generosity to himself with taxpayers’ money. We already know he employed family members, made eye-opening expense claims and likes redecorating when someone else is paying the bills. And now he’s splashed out over £100,000 getting himself a spin-doctor to help give the impression that he’s reforming MPs’ expenses when actually he’ll be fighting tooth and nail to give his colleagues even more of our money. But then let’s not forget the real reason why MPs elected Bercow as speaker – Bercow wants to raise MPs’ salaries from £64,700 to over £100,000 a year. Our honourable members are slavering at the prospect of a hundred grand for just a few months work. So don’t be surprised when Bercow supports handng over decisions on MPs’ salaries to the supposedly ‘independent’ Senior Salaries Review Body and they decide to give our politicians their ‘Bercow bonus’ – a glorious £35,000 pay rise to over £100,000 a year.
By David Craig, on August 14th, 2009 This week, the unelected Lord Mandelson returned from his summer break to run the country. Meanwhile the partially elected Gordon Brown supposedly relaxed on holiday before ‘getting on with the job’ again.
As this is the silly season, with little news leaving journalists a lot of time for speculation, several respected commentators have begun to wonder whether Lord Mandelson is intent on replacing Gordon Brown as Labour leader after the expected Tory victory at the next general election. The storyline goes like this: the government is proposing new legislation allowing peers to step down. Lord Mandelson could use this law to leave the Lords, be given a safe seat and then put himself up as a candidate for party leader after Labour’s likely 2010 election defeat.
I believe that this scenario completely misunderstands the reality of British and European politics and seriously underestimates the noble lord’s ambitions.
When New Labour was first elected, about 40% of our laws came from Brussels. As the EU has relentlessly increased its power over us, around 80% of our legislation is now made by 27 unelected European Commissioners supported by around 45,000 unelected bureaucrats. Once the Lisbon Treaty is forced through, more power will move to Brussels and we can expect the EU to make up to 90% of British laws.
Given Britain’s declining sovereignty and Brussels’ growing authority, why would an ambitious politician like Lord Mandelson would want to spend five years of his life leading a demoralised opposition Labour party in a dirty, overcrowded and almost bankrupt little island when there is a much bigger prize within reach? I propose another scenario – Lord Mandelson’s ambition is to become president of Europe in all but name.
My storyline goes like this: Mandelson’s main concern at the moment is to keep Labour in office until the Lisbon Treaty has gone through. In the autumn, the Irish will vote yet again on the Lisbon Treaty and this time they will give the answer their European masters want – a resounding ‘Yes’ vote. This will pressure the few governments which haven’t yet ratified the Treaty to fall into line. Once the Treaty has been approved by all 27 EU member states, it will be virtually impossible for the Tories to hold a referendum. The Treaty will enable Tony Blair to become Europe’s first president. The idea of Blair becoming president will be sold to us as being in our country’s interests to have a British politician as the first European president. This will make it difficult for the Tories to oppose Blair’s candidature without appearing unpatriotic.
When Blair moves into his luxurious new president’s residence, Lord Mandelson will soon follow as his fixer. President Blair will then be the front-man again, smiling and waving, jet-setting off to endless important international official functions and meeting and greeting the world’s movers and shakers, accompanied no doubt by his charming wife. But behind Blair, the man pulling the strings and the man with real power over Europe’s 500 million citizens will be Lord Mandelson. Given the choice between trying to rebuild a shattered Labour party or the almost unlimited power of running Europe, the world’s greatest economic power, I think we can guess which way Lord Mandelson will jump
By David Craig, on July 10th, 2009 As more and more British soldiers lose their lives in a pointless, unwinnable war to keep a corrupt, drug-smuggling regime in power, it’s time to call it a day. Gordon ‘I flipped my home’ Brown and Bob ‘I bought a new sofa on expenses’ Ainsworth claim the sacrifces are worthwhile as part of an ‘international’ effort. But where are the French and the Germans and the Belgians, and the Italians and the Spanish and all our other so-called ‘allies’? They’re either cowering at home or marching around in their fine uniforms safely in their bases far away from the fighting.
This is a pointless war and we are losing. The whole g*dforsaken country is not worth another British life – bring our troops home
