By David Craig, on November 19th, 2009 Brown’s Queen’s speech must mark a new low for Britain’s already discredited politicians. He proposes a law to cut the deficit – but for 10 years he was the person guilty of the uncontrolled overspending that created the deficit. He promises free care for the pensioners whose pensions his policies have decimated. And, after all his promises to clean up MPs’ expenses, he doesn’t even mention them – so it’s sleazybusiness as usual at Westminster.
Brown and his puppetmaster, Lady Mandelson, are operating with such deliberate deceit and such a total lack of any concern for morality or the truth that in the course of the election, the other parties are going to struggle to descend to the same stinking depths as Britain’s worst ever PM and his controller
By David Craig, on November 16th, 2009 As the next election approaches we are seeing the extraordinary sight of Labour’s liars promising exactly the opposte of the policies they have been forcing on us for the last 12 years. Having allowed uncontrolled immigration, Brown claims he is worried about immigration. Having encouraged reckless banking practices, Darling is going to ‘get tough’ on bankers’ bonuses. Having poured our money into the pockets of vastly-overpaid public-sector bosses, Harman says their pay should be controlled.
Of course, these are all lies and will be quickly forgotten should Labour win a fourth term. It’s a pity the Tory opposition is so incompetent that Labour are allowed to get away with their lies unchallenged.
By David Craig, on November 15th, 2009 Britain has a long history of fighting for freedom against tyranny. It is therefore nauseating to see our troops as hated occupiers in Afghanistan sent to kill Afghans who are just freedom-fighters battling to rid their country of foreign invaders and the corrupt, self-serving, drug-smuggling Karzai government.
By David Craig, on November 15th, 2009 Apparently Gordon Brown is going to apologise to all the children shipped off to Australia almost half a century ago. Why doesn’t he apologise for ruining our economy? Why doesn’t he apologise to the families of soldiers killed in Afghanistan due to his failure to provide proper equipment? Or he could apologise to taxpayers for using their money to buy Labour votes by creating an army of 5 million people living off benefits. Or he could apologise for allowing uncontrolled immigration or perhaps for breaking his promise of a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty, aka EU Constitution. And there is the dumbing-down of our educational system or giving tens of billions to his mates in banking to get himself a job once he’s thrown out of Downing Street.
Gordon Brown, probably the most arrogant, incompetent and dishonest PM in British history has a lot to apologise for.
By David Craig, on November 11th, 2009 There may be a war on and soldiers may be losing their lives unnecessarily, but our MPs’ minds are elsewhere – focused on how to water down and mostly block Sir Christopher Kelly’s recommendations for cleaning up the MPs’ expenses system. Some of the excuses we’re being given for not implementing the recommendations include ‘there’s a lot of work to be done’ and that ‘it’s very complicated’.
These, of course, are rubbish. Almost every company of any size has clear rules about what their employees can claim and what receipts must be provided. It would take a couple of days to adapt such rules for MPs. But I think we all know, deep down, that our thieving MPs will manage to block almost all the proposed reforms and then can carry on stealing our money with impunity. Brown, Cameron and Clegg should hang their heads in shame – but they won’t, in the House of Whores there is no shame.
By David Craig, on November 10th, 2009 This week a couple of our military panjandrums have called in the press to opine that the war in Afghanistan is worth the loss of more than 200 British soldiers. Easy for them to say this when they know they will die comfortably of old age in their beds after a long life with a big salary and an incredibly generous pension, unlike the young men and women whom they are sending to their premature deaths.
Perhaps some of our pampered top brass would be good enough to inform us just how many more British lives they intend to waste – another 200? 500? Maybe a thousand or two? The only certainty with Afghanistan is that one day we will be forced to withdraw (like the 110,000 Russian troops) and then the Taliban will be free to do what they want.
By David Craig, on November 9th, 2009 Is there anyone in Britain who didn’t feel like vomiting at the sickening hypocrisy of Brown and Ainsworth shedding their crocodile tears for our war dead? Brown the man who has continually lied about equipment for our troops, Brown who congratulated the rotten Karzai on his election ‘victory’. As for Ainsworth, just another in a long succession of ministers at defence who have been more interested in maximising their earnings from expenses than in worrying about our troops’ safety.
How could we have sunk so low? Bring our troops home – their presence in Afghanistan is the best recruitment for Afghan freedomfighters who see killing British soldiers as a way of liberating their country
By David Craig, on November 8th, 2009 Never thought I would ever have anything positive to say about the normally hoplessly verbose Independent newspaper. But this Sunday, it has had the courage and intelligence to say what most people in Britain, apart from our self-serving political and bureaucratic elites, know “It is time to say that this war is ill conceived, unwinnable and counterproductive. It is time to start planning a phased withdrawal of British troops.”
Congratulations to The Independent for living up to its name, while all other newspapers still hype the ‘we are winning’ government propaganda.
By David Craig, on November 8th, 2009 Repeatedly we hear from our thieving MPs that most of them are honest and hard-working. This is a lie. When Tory MP David MacLean introduced a bill to exempt MPs’ expenses from the Freedom of Information Act, only 25 of 646 MPs voted against it. The other 621 were only too happy to prevent us finding out how they are stealing our money.
As for Brown’s and Harman’s protestations that they want to clean up Parliament – more lies. Let us remember that at the start of 2009, they also tried to push through a bill blocking the publication of MPs’ expenses with a 3-line whip forcing all Labour MPs to support the bill.
This is not the case of a few rotten apples – this is the case of the huge majority of MPs and Lords of all parties being nothing but a bunch of sleazy, self-serving, hypocritical, greedy, lying crooks.
By David Craig, on November 8th, 2009 On this Remembrance Sunday let us remember that Gordon Brown was a key member of the Blair government which lied to take us into the Iraq war. Then let us remember that Brown has continually lied about providing our troops proper equipment in Afghanistan, especially helicopters. Let us remember that Brown’s Ministry of Defence have continually lied and covered up to prevent coroners finding out how our troops have died, in particular with the crash of the 35-year-old Nimrod. Let us remember how our MPs of all parties have been more interested in stealing our money than ensuring the safety of our soldiers.
Let us also remember how Gordon Brown lied to us about the economy, lied to us about ‘British jobs for British workers’, lied to us about a referendum on the EU Constitution (Lisbon Treaty), lied to us about clamping down on crime, lied to us about deporting foreign criminals, lied to us about restricting bankers’ bonuses, lied to us about protecting our pensions, lied to us about not increasing taxes, lied to us about immigration – in fact has done little but lie every time he opens his mouth.
On this Remembrance Sunday, we have a lot to remember.
