I have previously written about a Scottish charity called Scotia Aid to Sierra Leone which I believe to be just a get-rich-quick scheme for its three founders.

Now we hear that this charity, which claims to help African children, is being probed by a number of councils over an alleged cash-raising scam. Scotia Aid Sierra Leone is facing numerous investigations into a controversial business rates loophole it may have been using to raise fortunes.

In the latest accounts Scotia Aid to Sierra Leone seems to have used just £137,819 of its £1,017,771 income for charitable activities while paying its three founders about £313,873 in ‘consultancy fees’. Oooopps!

(A cynic might suggest that by paying themselves ‘consultancy fees’ to companies they own, the three founders avoid punitive income tax and pay the much lower corporation tax)

One of the public bodies pursuing Scotia Aid is Broxtowe Borough Council in Nottinghamshire. It has raised civil court proceedings against the charity to recover £369,000, it claims. However, last week’s court hearing was postponed after lawyers argued Scotia Aid’s chairman, Dan Houston, 62, was too ill to attend the two-day session.

The council is pursuing Mr Houston and fellow trustees Kieran Kelly and CEO Alan Johnston over business rates relief it gave to the charity.

At present, charities can qualify for a discount of up to 100% on the business equivalent of council tax if buildings are used for “charitable activities”. But the ruling has led to an explosion in the number of businesses cutting deals with charities to take on empty – and expensive – warehouses. In return, many charities receive sizeable donations.

However, it’s an alleged “scam” potentially costing taxpayers millions in lost revenue.

Officials in Broxtowe began probing Scotia Aid around two years ago.

Sources say the charity claimed to council chiefs it was using two sites – one the size of four Hampden Parks – to store furniture it was preparing to send to Sierra Leone in containers. But council bosses grew suspicious when it applied for rates relief to store mattresses at another first-floor warehouse – even though the building didn’t have a lift. Officials visited the two sites repeatedly, often finding them empty or with a “minimum” amount of furniture stored.

Scotia Aid bosses were asked to hand over paperwork to prove how many containers they had sent to Africa, but failed to do so.

The charity has made dozens of applications to authorities south of the Border to take over empty warehouses, hundreds of miles from its base near Uddingston, South Lanarkshire.

And many councils have raised concerns about Scotia Aid’s applications for business rates relief. The sites include a former bowling alley in Plymouth and an old snooker hall in Bournemouth.

In Nottingham, the city council has instructed bailiffs to recover a bill believed to be in the region of £170,000 from Scotia Aid after obtaining a “liability order” over non-payment of council tax and rates.

A spokesman for St Helens Council in Merseyside said it “currently has half a dozen outstanding business rate liabilities for Scotia Aid Sierra Leone from 2011 to date totalling just over £30,000”. He added: “Court action has been taken in all cases but as the company is outside England or Wales enforcement capabilities are limited.”

Rushmoor Borough Council, which covers Aldershot and Farnborough in Hampshire, considered legal action to recover £240,000 but abandoned the process after Scotia Aid ended its relief deal there.

In Leeds, the charity was given a £37,000 discount on business rates between 2012 and 2013. But the deal was scrapped after it “failed to provide evidence that the building was being used for genuine charitable purposes”, a spokeswoman said.

A whistleblower who used to work at Scotia Aid said his job had been to contact councils across England to find out if there were any empty warehouses in the area. He said: “It was all just a scam to make Scotia Aid money.”

Despite growing controversy surrounding the body, it continues to be a registered charity in Scotland and hosted a glitzy fundraising ball at the Marriott Hotel in Glasgow last month, with Mr Houston in attendance. Clearly he was lot healthier then than now as he could attend the ball in September but not the court case in October.

Perhaps I should send Dan a “get well soon” card?

Below are two heartwarming stories from the multi-cultural Scandinavian paradise, Sweden, exposing the lies and dishonesty of the ruling elites as they desperately try to cover up the true consequences of the *sl*mic invasion.

But when we in Britain allowed the gang-rape, gang-sodomisation and gang sexual torture of around 1,400 girls over ten years by adherents of the Religion of Peace in just one town, we can hardly criticise the Swedes for also encouraging immigrant rapists.

1. Swedish Migration Board Protects Refugee, Conceals Identity After Rape of 3 Year-Old

A male refugee in an asylum center in Tingsryd municipality in Sweden, on Tuesday raped a three-year-old child.

Responsible of the asylum center learned about the rape during the day, and in collaboration with the Swedish Migration Board had decided to move the man from the accommodation to protect him.

They had also chosen not to contact the police in order to conceal this incident.

However it was revealed when friends of the girl’s mother contacted the police. Eight hours later.

But at the asylum center, the police could not get hold of the man, as he had been moved to another place, and employees at the asylum center were reluctant to tell the police of the man’s new location, who he was, or any information at all.

According to a radio clip from Swedish Radio, the police had to contact a responsible person in the Migration Board and force the truth from those in charge of the accommodation.

2. Gang rape of 11-year-old

In Stockholm, Sweden, as many as 20 Muslim men gang-raped an 11-year-old girl. A mother was hosting a birthday party at a public bath/swim center for a group of 11 and 12 year old children.

Up to 20 Muslim men who lived at a nearby refugee center arrived at the public bath. They immediately began to assault the children, ripping their swimsuits off and beating the boys when they tried to stop the assault. Eventually, the men cornered one of the little girls in a grotto in the bathhouse and gang raped her. The police refused to press any charges.

It seems Orban is the only European leader willing to stand up for his people’s interests. Something tells me we’d never get Dave making a speech like this.

“Thank you for your attention”

As readers will know, the “Britain Stronger in Europe” (BSE) campaign has chosen the debonair multi-millionaire businessman Sir Stuart Rose as its Chairman. It might have been difficult for the BSE campaign to find a credible leader from the business community as, ten or so years ago when Blair wanted to take the UK into the euro (so he could become president of the EU), the Confederation for British Industry (CBI) and most business leaders warned us that Britain was doomed unless we joined the euro. Oooopps!

Multimillionaire business bosses love the EU and everything about it. The EU gives them an unlimited supply of highly skilled workers so they don’t have to employ or train useless uneducated Brits. The EU similarly gives them cheap hardworking cleaners, nannies, gardeners, plumbers etc from Eastern Europe. Moreover, being in the EU makes it easier for our rulers to buy their luxury holiday homes in Tuscany, the South of France and Marbella.

Multimillionaires don’t have to compete with immigrants for low-paid jobs, places in school for their children, social housing, healthcare and so on. While multimillionaires get all the benefits of EU membership, life is not so easy for lower paid workers in Britain forced to compete with three million EU economic migrants.

Two years ago multimillionaire Stuart Rose said he had little sympathy with people who complained that jobs were being taken by workers from countries like Bulgaria and Romania who were prepared to work for less money. “I’m a free-market economist; we operate in a free market,” he told Sky News. “If these people want to come here, and work the hours they are prepared to work for the wages they are prepared to work for, then so be it.”

So, I think we can conclude that Sir Stuart Rose’s and the Britain Stronger in Europe campaign’s message to British lower-paid workers, whose lives are made more difficult by the EU migrant invasion, is something along the lines of “Screw you!!”

The misleading “Britain Stronger in Europe” campaign name

Following my contacts with UKIP about the fact that the name of the “In” campaign – “Britain Stronger in  Europe” – is misleading, Nigel Farage has written the letter below to the BBC. Moreover, the Electoral Commission has confirmed that they will not recognise any campaign that uses a misleading name. I have a feeling that “Britain Stronger in Europe” will be forced to change its name to the much less appealing “Britain Stronger in the European Union”. Ha ha ha ha.

The forthcoming debate and referendum about Britain’s membership of the European Union is likely to be the defining political decision of this generation. As such it is imperative that the debate, and the reporting of that debate, is conducted in a fashion that is transparent, honest and with absolute clarity. We call upon the BBC and other news outlets to therefore ensure that the debate is framed accurately.

In recent weeks and months it has become normal for many correspondents to use ‘Europe’ as shorthand for ‘the European Union’. To do so is inaccurate, and suggestive of a general dislike of our continental allies, when what Eurosceptics oppose is membership of a supranational political organisation, not fellow continental European nation states.

It has been widely reported that those campaigning to remain in the European Union are deliberately replacing the name of the organisation with the term ‘Europe’ for this very reason, and by doing the same, correspondents are inadvertently playing into the deliberate, dishonest framing of the debate.

The Electoral Commission has suggested that the question be ‘Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union or leave the European Union?’ I believe reporting should reflect this deliberate selection of words. The debate is not about whether Britain should remain in Europe, a geographic reality, but the European Union, a political construction.

Since the beginning of this month, most Europeans have been watching in horror as Third-World, subhuman *sl*mic hordes pour over Europe’s non-existent borders.
