There’s a UN report – the Human Development Index (HDI) – which tries to estimate how countries will develop or decline between 2010 and 2030.
Virtually all countries are projected to improve their citizens’ lives.
But there is one glaring exception. According to UN projections, unlike its Nordic neighbours and unlike all other developed countries, Sweden will be a much poorer country by 2030. This seems to be something the Swedish Government has ‘forgotten’ to tell its voters:
In 2010 Sweden had the 15th place in the HDI rankings. But Sweden has dropped to 25th this year and by 2030 will be 45th. I wonder why the BBC and Channel 4 have decided not to run this story.
Moreover most of today’s less developed countries such as Cuba, Mexico, the Baltic countries and Bulgaria will pass Sweden in prosperity according to the UN report:
The main reason for Sweden’s expected decline will be a massive increase in the number of households living off welfare. And that, of course, is mostly due to uncontrolled (mostly M*sl*m) Third-World immigration.
What’s worse is that this report was produced before the current migration invasion which is seeing over 110,000 Third-Worlders pouring into Sweden each year. So Sweden’s decline will actually be much faster than the UN report predicts.
Sweden’s leftist establishment and media believe a cornerstone of their perfect society is multiculturalism: large scale immigration from some of the poorest, most backward nations on earth.
Sweden’s former Prime Minister, Fredrik Reinfeldt, seems to have perfectly expressed the attitudes of Sweden’s politically-correct elites “It is a choice of what country Sweden should be. Is this a country that is owned by those who have lived here for three or four generations or is Sweden what people who come here in mid-life make it to be? For me it is obvious that it should be the latter and that it is a stronger and better society if it may be open”.
Swedes who disagree with their elites’ plan risk being labeled racist, fascist, even Nazi.
However, one journalist Ingrid Carlqvist has dared say what the rest of us can see: “We had a perfectly good country, a rich country, a nice country, and in a few years’ time, that country will be gone.”
Meanwhile, two African immigrants to Sweden who raped some Swedish schoolgirls have been allowed to continue their schooling, in the same school as the raped girls, and neither immigrant will be charged with any criminal offence.
The logic should be really simple to understand. Yet many people seem to have difficulties grasping it: If you import the Third World, it’s what you’ll get.
Goodbye Sweden. Hello Swedistan.

By David Craig, on November 9th, 2015 I hope readers will be as surprised at today’s blog as I was when I researched it.
In three of my books – PLUNDERING THE PUBLIC SECTOR, SQUANDERED and FLEECED, I’ve tried to expose in great detail the profligacy, incompetence and utter uselessness of our military leaders when spending (and largely wasting) hundreds of billions of pounds of our money. But till yesterday I hadn’t realised quite how bad this was.
So today I’d like to show the results of our military leaders’ worthlessness by comparing our defence spending with that of Russia to see which country gets the most things that go ‘bang’ for its bucks.
Russian military spending has been increasing over the last few years and it’s generally believed that Russia now spends a little bit more than the UK:
The latest figures I’ve seen are $68bn for Russia versus $57bn for the UK
But though it spends a little bit more, Russia seems to get an awful lot more for its money (I’ve marked the most dramatic differences with red arrows)
(acronyms: AFV – armoured fighting vehicle; SPG – self-propelled gun; MLRS – multiple launch rocket system)
Now I realise Russia has (I think) a largely conscript military so their troops are much cheaper than British ones. I also realise labour costs are much lower in Russia than the West, so any kit made there will be cheaper than stuff made in the UK, Europe or the US. And I realise that much of the Russian equipment may not be that modern or that well maintained.
But Russia’s lower costs and possibly older equipment surely cannot fully explain the following enormous differences: Russia’s 462 attack helicopters vs Britain’s 65; Russia’s 769 fighter aircraft vs Britain’s 89; Russia’s 15,398 tanks vs Britain’s 407; Russia’s 4,625 towed artillery vs Britain’s 138; Russia’s 5,972 self-propelled guns vs Britain’s 89; Russia’s 3,793 multiple launch rocket systems vs Britain’s 42; Russia’s 55 submarines vs Britain’s 10 etc etc.
So, for just a little bit more money, Russia is often getting 10 to 20 times as much military hardware as Britain.
As I’ve hopefully explained in my books in excruciating detail, there is almost nothing the world as bloated and incompetent as the Ministry of Defence’s procurement department.
I don’t know where our $57bn-a-year defence budget goes. But it certainly doesn’t go on equipping our troops with the equipment they need to defend us.
By David Craig, on November 7th, 2015 (weekend blog) In a previous blog, I wrote about the absurdly top-heavy command structure in our armed forces:
The Navy has 421 officers for less than 40 fighting ships and submarines. The RAF has 26 Air Vice Marshalls, 90 Air Commodores and 330 Group Captains for around 820 aircraft including just 89 fighters (most of the rest are small trainers and helicopters). As for the Army – there are so many officers and so few regiments, we would put the Italian army to shame. One could wonder what most of these officers do all day.
And I also highlighted the lives of luxury our military bosses lead at our expense – while ordinary troops risk their lives before coming home to collect their P45s and head off into a life of poverty, their officers are laughing all the way to the bank. In addition to their big salaries and generous pensions, the top 32 military bosses get over £156,000 a year each in taxfree housing allowances. A further 390 officers receive over £87,000 a year each.
Today, I thought it might be worth casting some (possibly unwelcome) light on the command structure of Britain’s largest police force – the Metropolitan Police:
Oooops! Doesn’t look like a lean, mean, flat, modern organisation to me. Any company structured like this would have gone bankrupt long ago. Maybe there’s some room for savings here? Then the police wouldn’t have to cut so many from the lower ranks who actually do a tough job and who don’t have the luxury of being able to sit behind a big shiny desk all day.
Just a thought.

By David Craig, on November 6th, 2015 There are probably only two issues we need to consider in the referendum on EU membership – economic and political:
1. Economic
The ‘In’ campaign – Britain Stronger in Europe – will try to scare people into supporting them by endless horror stories about how jobs will be lost and our economy will crash if we leave the EU. These will be pretty much the same stories the same people used when they tried to get Britain to abandon the pound and replace it with their beloved euro.
Here’s the one chart people need to see to understand that the ‘In’ campaign’s scare stories are a pack of lies. The red line shows the EU’s share of world GDP:
The EU’s share of world GDP keeps declining. Rather frighteningly, this has happened in spite of ever more countries joining the EU. The evidence is clear. The world is growing, the EU is stagnating. The EU is ageing and being smothered by over-regulation and unaffordable social welfare costs.
The EU was once good for Britain. When the UK was the ‘sick man’ of Europe. joining the EU gave us access to new markets and encouraged many foreign firms (Honda, Nissan etc) to invest in Britain using our country as a bridgehead into Europe. But now the EU is the ‘sick man’ of the world.
The EU is the past, the rest of the world is the future.
As the chart shows, Britain can only prosper if it leaves the EU and rejoins the rest of the world.
2. Political
The ‘In’ campaign will avoid any mention of the political implications of leaving the EU – regaining control of our own borders, our courts having supremacy over EU laws, decisions being made in Britain and not Brussels and so on.
The ‘In’ campaign doesn’t dare mention these as these are things most people in Britain want.
The question in the referendum should be “Do you want Britain to be an independent country or just a region of a single, corrupt, undemocratic, wasteful, increasingly *sl*mic European Superstate?”
If asked that question – the real, honest question – most people in Britain would vote to leave the EU.
Conclusion
So, please ignore the ‘In’ campaign’s one-sided lies about our economy being damaged. And please see through the ‘In’ campaign’s complete silence over the beneficial political consequences of breaking free from German-dominated Brussels.
It’s time to leave.
By David Craig, on November 5th, 2015 You’ve probably noticed that the BBC is gearing up for its annual CHILDREN IN NEED appeal. Yet again all the Z-list ‘celebs’ are getting ready to try to revive their dying careers by getting some free publicity. Sorry, I meant ‘give up their valuable time to help good causes’.
The big night this year is Friday 13 November.
The BBC claims that “every penny you give makes a difference”. But a difference for whom? The children in need? Or the BBC bureaucrats and pen-pushers?
Before you hand over your money, please let me tell you a few inconvenient truths about this great supposedly ‘charitable’ event. Then you can judge for yourself whether you really should be throwing your already heavily-taxed cash into that great, corrupt, politically-biased, left-wing, steaming cesspit of parasitical, self-serving, overpaid, over-pensioned bureaucrats that is the BBC.
The BBC’s CHILDREN IN NEED charity has 107 employees. They seem to be awfully lucky employees indeed. While the average employee cost (salary, NI and pension contributions) at our larger charities is between £20,000 and £30,000, the average employee cost at the BBC’s CHILDREN IN NEED is a wonderful £37,804. That’s about 80% more than average employee costs at charities like Oxfam and Save the Children:
Moreover, the CHILDREN IN NEED boss managing these 106 people (probably all based in comfortable offices in Central London) pocketed about £112,365 of our ‘charitable donations’ last year. That’s more than the boss at Oxfam who got just £109,000 for managing 5,046 employees across the world, many of them in some of the world’s most dangerous countries.
Current employees at the BBC’s CHILDREN IN NEED are fortunate enough to be eligible for one of the most generous pension schemes in Britain – the BBC’s ‘final salary’ pension scheme, which will give them guaranteed, inflation-protected pensions for the rest of their lives.
Sadly for us licence-fee payers and for contributors to CHILDREN IN NEED, the BBC’s pension scheme is so unbelievably generous to BBC employees that it doesn’t have enough money to meet its liabilities. No problem – the BBC has decided to fatten up its own pension scheme with our license-fee money. Over the next 11 years around £905,000,000 extra of our money (in addition to the regular contributions the BBC makes each month for each employee) will be put into the BBC pension scheme to ensure all BBC employees can have a comfortable, secure, well-rewarded retirement at our expense. In fact, the BBC has already begun this glorious (for BBC employees) fattening with an extra £110,000,000 of our money being shoved into its pension scheme on 28 March 2011 and hundreds of millions more since then.
As for the CHILDREN IN NEED part of this pension scheme, it was also underfunded and so in 2012 got an extra £186,000 of our charitable donations, then an extra £247,000 in 2013 and then £252,034 more last year.
Of course, we should support worthy charities. But there is really no need to allow greedy, money-grabbing, self-serving BBC bureaucrats to take a cut of everything we give. Why not just find a local charity and give directly?
These over-paid, over-pensioned, self-regarding BBC bureaucrats are laughing at our stupidity and gullibility while grabbing huge amounts of our supposed ‘charitable donations’ for themselves.
Maybe it’s time to put an end to their party?

1. Egypt
Will not want it to be a bomb or missile as that would put the final nail into the coffin of what little is left of that blighted country’s tourist industry
2. Ireland
Would prefer a terrorist attack to a massive structural failure as the plane was registered in Ireland and Ireland was supposedly responsible for monitoring its airworthiness. How the Irish regulators were effectively overseeing the work of Russian (or Philippine?) maintenance personnel is an interesting question. Moreover, having spent some time in Russia and having worked on aircraft maintenance in a Third World country, I’d be tempted to point the finger at catastrophically inadequate maintenance
3. France
Like Ireland, France would prefer a terrorist attack to a massive structural failure as the plane was largely built in France and it wouldn’t do much for future Airbus sales if the thing has a tendency to fall apart when it reaches cruising altitude
4. The bosses of Metrojet
Desperately want it to be a terrorist attack as they don’t want to get banged up for running a crap, third-rate excuse for an airline with low-quality maintenance being carried out by untrained and frequently drunk mechanics. So they have already ‘got their retaliation in first’ by claiming that the “only explainable cause is physical impact on the aircraft” – some ‘outside force’ (missile or bomb) that caused the plane to break up mid-air
5. The bearded maniacs
They, of course, want everyone to believe that they’re the ones behind the crash as part of their terrorist plans to slay any infidels (and any Muzzies who don’t agree with them) to achieve world domination and a glorious new blood-drenched Caliphate
6. Russia
That just leaves Uncle Vlad. He’s in a bit of a cleft stick. If it’s a terrorist attack, that would make his current campaign against ISIL in Syria rather unpopular with the Russkies. After all, they won’t want to face potential death every time they try to escape the Russian winter by taking a holiday in the sun just because Vlad is best mates with Bashar “Basher” Al-Assad. On the other hand, Vlad wouldn’t want people thinking that Russian aircraft maintenance was about as reliable as a 20-year-old Lada.
But all in all, I suspect Uncle Vlad would prefer bad maintenance to a terror attack as that would allow him to shift all the blame onto the airline bosses and then lock them up and throw away the key.
Conclusion
I suspect the final investigation will conclude that the plane broke apart probably following an engine explosion. (There have been claims that a US satellite picked up a ‘heat flash’ just before the plane went down. Some have said this points to a bomb. But it could also be an engine exploding) And if it’s not an engine explosion, it will be due to metal fatigue linked to the rather large number of awkward landings followed up by botched repairs using mainly Sellotape and glue.
If I was one of the airline’s owners, I’d be grabbing whatever’s left in the company safe and doing a “Lucky Lucan” or “Reggie Perrin” in the hope that Uncle Vlad has too many other things on his plate to worry about me:
Our back-to-the-Stone-Age future
Meanwhile as invading *sl*mic armies continue to pour into Europe, here’s a comment from a reader which pretty much sums up our back-to-the-Stone-Age future:
The gross error the general populations of Western Europe are making is that they think any people from anywhere can come and will assimilate to our ways of decency and generosity. They seem to have the erroneous superior position thinking that somehow we are some sort of beacon that shows the rest of the World a lead, particularly the so-called pompous liberal socialist British elite that have infiltrated every position of power and influence.
They will only realise the total misjudgement and error of their ways when it literally hits them in the face. Although they will probably continue destroying all that is good about Europe from their gated, guarded, protected communities within which they will shelter as occurs in Swedenistan today. But they too will pay the same price as they are voted out of power and cast into the murderous abyss and are forced to pay ‘Jizya with willing submission’ like the rest of us.
By David Craig, on November 3rd, 2015 Below is a list of atrocities carried out in the name of religion by the followers of the Religion of Tolerance and Peace. Though last week seems to have been a fairly quiet week with only 96 killed and another 104 seriously injured.
While we all know about the ongoing wars in Yemen, Iraq and Syria, I would ask readers to note that there were religiously-inspired killings in no fewer than 14 different countries. (I know there only 13 on the list below. But I think this list has missed out the hacking to death of some writers in Bangladesh).
So, the cancer is spreading. Who knows how many countries will be affected this time next year?
Naturally, few if any of these atrocities were mentioned by the BBC or C4 or ITV or any of the mainstream media. It’s almost impossible to imagine the widespread mainstream media outrage if the Israelis killed 4 or 5 Palestinians. Yet when our M*sl*m friends slaughter 96 innocents (including a few Christians) in just 7 days there is complete media silence.
We also don’t hear anything from that noble human rights campaigner – Sharmishta “Shami” Chakrabarti CBE. Yet when some (IMHO) UK-loathing, homicidal, bearded maniac gets released from Guantanamo you can’t turn on the TV without being bombarded by her smug, self-satisfied, holier-than-thou preachy (IMHO) lies.

4. And finally, Europeans are arming themselves
(From a reader’s comment yesterday) Reports of terrorists hiding among migrants, migrants with a different view of women, and fear of rising crime due to the massive influx of immigrants, mainly from M*sl*m countries, have Europeans flocking to gun stores to arm themselves.
Weapon sales are soaring in Austria as citizens of the small Alpine nation become paranoid over the numbers of refugees crowding into their country, Daily Mail reports.
In a country of 8.5 million people, there are now an estimated 900,000 firearms in homes. And gun dealers report that it is women driving the sales rush. This year alone, police say 70,000 guns have been sold.
‘Virtually all shotguns are currently sold out, because you need no permit for them’, said Thomas Ortner, spokesman for an arms dealer in Upper Austria. For every other type of weapon, a licence is required.
Licence courses, in which applicants must demonstrate knowledge of firearms, used to take place every five weeks but they are now held weekly because of spiking demand.
In cities like Salzburg, a line of people outside the necessary government office to get the paperwork to buy a gun is now an everyday sight.
Broadcasters and local media say the numbers of refugees – coupled with a fear of break-ins as a result – is fuelling the arms race.
‘Because of the social change, people want to protect themselves,’ one arms dealer told the broadcaster oe.24. He said ‘many women’ were among his customers.
The flood of ‘refugees’ into Austria is continuing without interruption.
The daily paper Heute reported recently: ‘The cash registers are currently ringing loud at local gun dealers. Figures of the Ministry of the Interior prove it: more and more people are buying guns and rifles.’
A Central weapon register was introduced in June 2014 to record all legal firearm sales.
This year over 14,000 new weapons have been purchased. Dealers reported that women are also driving up sales of pepper spray because of their fears for personal security in the midst of the great migration of refugees heading to Germany.
‘We cannot complain about a lack of demand,’ said Stephan Mayer, a gun merchant. ‘People want to protect themselves’.
‘The most common purchasers of arms are primarily Austrian women who are also buying tear [pepper] sprays, which are much in demand.’ The new trend is in stark contrast to previous business which was driven by the hunting brigade.
Also in countries like Norway, there has been an increase of people who sign up for a hunting licence course in order to buy guns, and for the first time in history, women outnumber men at the courses. ‘For the first time in history, more women than men have enrolled for the hunting course. I think it is the first time on a national basis,’ says Espen Stokke, who is an instructor, to Enebakk Avis

Great rejoicing amongst Britain’s leading *sl*mophiliacs and massive multiple orgasms from BBC and C4 reporters as they exultantly claim “the last Briton held at Guantanamo is freed”.
But hold on a minute. The guy is a Saudi who is married to someone who happens to hold a British passport. So he’s a Saudi, not a Brit.
And what about the claims from the Yuman Rights brigade that the guy is “innocent”?
The US government believes Shaker Aamer to be a military-trained al-Qaeda member who recruited for extremist causes and had close ties to Osama bin Laden.
Aamer allegedly moved to Afghanistan, with his family, in the summer of 2001; however, the US believes he had visited the country on multiple occasions before. On one occasion, he visited Khalden training camp, which hosted several jihadists connected to al-Qaeda. In 2000, he accompanied the mujahideen on the front lines, carrying a gun as he did so. In the summer of 2001, Aamer returned to Afghanistan, living under Taliban rule in Kabul. In October 2001 – the same month that the US began its bombing campaign in Afghanistan, in response to 9/11 – Aamer moved his family to Pakistan. However, rather than accompanying them, he returned to Afghanistan.
The US believes that Aamer then fought at Tora Bora, Afghanistan, as the US and its allies attacked alQaeda and Taliban forces there towards the end of 2001. At Tora Bora, Aamer is thought to have served as a sub-commander under Ibn al-Sheikh al-Libi’s command; al-Libi was the emir of the Khalden training camp. Multiple detainees at Guantánamo Bay have identified Aamer as the commander of the Juhanya Centre in Tora Bora (Abu Juhanyah was one of Shaker Aamer’s aliases).
Aamer was in possession of a false Belgian passport at the time of his capture.
At Guantánamo Bay, seven separate sources have described Aamer’s connections to al-Qaeda or Osama bin Laden: Abu Zubaydah, Abdul Bukhary, Muhammad Basardah, Moazzam Begg,
Aamer is thought to have known several radical Islamists and terrorists, including the following senior al-Qaeda leaders: Abu Musab al-Suri, who has previously been described as the ideological “mastermind” behind the 7 July 2005 attacks on the London transport network. Aamer was also reportedly tied to those who were well known within the British jihadist scene, including: Babar Ahmad, who has pleaded guilty – in December 2013, in the US – to terrorism offences. Abu Hamza al-Masri, the former imam at Finsbury Park Mosque, who was convicted in the UK – primarily for hate-speech offences – in February 2006 and has since been extradited to the US (where he has been jailed for life, as a result of terrorism-related charges). Abu Qatada, the ideologue whom a Spanish judge described as “Osama bin Laden’s right-hand man in Europe”. Richard Reid, the al-Qaeda operative who attempted to detonate a shoe bomb on a flight between Paris and Miami, in December 2001. Zacarias Moussaoui, the only person to be convicted for involvement in the attacks on 9/11.
However, statements made by Guantanamo detainees would not be admissable in court because of accusations of torture and because Aamer did not have immediate access to a lawyer. Hence, he and many other detainees could never be properly prosecuted.
Aamer’s supporters say that he was in Afghanistan for innocent reasons: carrying out charity work. This charity has not been named, but has been described as a “Muslim charity building schools for Afghan orphans”.
Yet, the charities for which Aamer claims to have worked in the past are, in reality, groups providing support to al-Qaeda. Aamer claims to have worked for a “humanitarian” organisation in Bosnia in 1994, known as the Revival of Islamic Heritage Society (RIHS) – an outfit based in Kuwait. In January 2002, RIHS was placed on the United Nations Security Council Committee’s ‘Al-Qaida Sanctions List’. Its work in Pakistan and Afghanistan was affiliated with the Afghan Support Committee (which had funded both alQaeda and Osama bin Laden), and its Pakistan branch had funded al-Qaeda, using money “ostensibly earmarked for supporting orphans”. In June 2008, RIHS was designated by the US Treasury, for providing “financial and material support” to al-Qaeda and its affiliates
Aamer’s lawyers filed a motion in a US court, arguing that Aamer should be released to the UK on the grounds of ill health. They cited a psychiatrist (whom other Guantánamo defence lawyers have also used to diagnose their detainees) who had diagnosed Aamer as suffering from depression, post-traumatic stress syndrome, and paranoia. They argued that these conditions would be worsened if Aamer was released to Saudi Arabia rather than the UK.
The suggestion that Aamer is too ill to be detained is a long-held tactic used by Aamer’s supporters. In February 2005, Clive Stafford Smith, one of Aamer’s lawyers, said that his client was “floridly psychotic”. At the same time, Stafford Smith said that Aamer was “really losing it” and “mentally unwell”; he repeated this claim in October 2007.
So, this (IMHO) piece of excrement is coming back to Britain where he will be feted as a hero by the Yuman Rights brigade and get a million or so in compensation.
But what will “Brit” Shaker Aamer do now? Will he live a life of luxury with his compensation and benefits while producing many more mini-Jihadis?
Or will he do what another Guantanamo ‘innocent’ did? Jamal Al-Harith, who was released from Guantanamo Bay in March 2004 following pleas from the British government was awarded compensation totaling £1m ($1.53m) in 2010 by the British government and then went off to Syria reportedly to join ISIL.
At the time of his release, the then-Home Secretary David Blunkett said: “No one who is returned . . . will actually be a threat to the security of the British people.”
By David Craig, on October 30th, 2015 I realise that the ‘big issue’ facing all of us is the M*sl*m migrant invasion of Europe and the fact that most European cities will be majority M*sl*m withing 20-30 years. But I’d like to use today’s blog to get back to more familiar snouts-in-the-trough material.
I expect that since the Brown and Balls financial crash in 2007/8, most readers have seen fairly drastic cuts in their council services as budgets are slashed and tens of thousands of low-paid council workers have been sacked to save money.
But in the upper echelons of our councils, they clearly don’t know how to spell the word “austerity” as council fatcats keep increasing their own pay and perks oblivious to the need to save money when it comes to their own comfort.
In 2007, just before the financial collapse and the recession, there were in the region of 600 people in local councils being paid £100,000 a year or more, 64 on £150,000 a year or more, 5 on £200,000 a year or above and none earning anything near £250,000.
Yet by 2013, after years of supposed ‘we’re all in this together’ austerity, there were a more impressive 2,181 on £100,000 or more, 542 on £150,000 a year or more and 34 on £250,000 a year or above
Over the same period, the average remuneration package of the ten highest-paid council executives jumped from about £203,000 a year to above £270,000 a year – a rise of 33 per cent during one of the worst recessions in British history.
Meanwhile in China
I’ve recently returned from a visit to China, but have also written about China in the foreign aid chapter of my book THE GREAT CHARITY SCANDAL. Over the last couple of days there has been great gloating and glee in Britain’s mainstream media about China abandoning its one-child policy. Many British supposed ‘experts’, especially the useless politically-correct BBC, have claimed “China’s controversial one-child policy has been a failure”.
Um, well actually no. China’s one-child policy has probably helped drive one of the greatest positive achievements in human history. About forty years ago, China’s GDP per capita was below that of most African countries. By 2014, China’s gdp per capita was seven times that of most of Africa.
Why? Because the Chinese Government realised what politically-correct British journalists don’t seem to understand – that a country can only develop if its economy grows faster than its population. By slowing population growth while boosting the economy, China has managed to pull around 700 million people out of poverty in just forty years without receiving any foreign aid at all. But now China has developed to such an extent that the one-child policy is no longer necessary.
Now, let’s compare that with useless, poverty-stricken hell-hole Africa. In the same time as China has pulled 700 million out of poverty, Africa has managed to plunge around 700 million more into poverty. You can see them every day arriving on Europe’s shores.
So, why has Africa been such a catastrophic failure? Of course, there’s massive corruption and the utter incompetence of most African rulers. But there’s also one other important factor. Here’s the population growth for just two of Africa’s mostly basket-case countries – Ethiopia and Sudan:
Anyone but an idiot, or an overpaid BBC journalist, can see that no country can possibly develop when its population growth far outstrips its economic growth.
Oh, and by the way, Ethiopia receives around $3.4bn in aid every year while Sudan gets about $1bn. And what have we got to show for 50 years and hundreds of billions of aid? More starving children, more water shortages, more conflict, more misery.
China’s one-child policy has been a fantastic success. It’s a pity that Africans are too stupid to do what the Chinese have done.
