You won’t see this story on the sinophiliac BBC (Beijing Broadcasting Corporation?) nor on the West-hating C4 News (which I guess now stands for China 4 News?). But it’s possibly quite important as it reveals how powerful China has actually become and how impotent our rulers are because we have become so dependent on the Chinese Communist Party.
Will the Australians grovel to China?
You may be aware that Scott Morrison’s government in Australia has been calling for an international investigation into the origin of the Chinese Covid-19 plague. This initiative has clearly upset the corrupt, lying, dirty, disease-ridden Chinese.
At the end of April a leading Chinese state media editor (basically the Chinese Communist Party) wrote “Australia is always there, making trouble. It is a bit like chewing gum stuck on the sole of China’s shoes. Sometimes you have to find a stone to rub it off”. That’s pretty insulting stuff from one country to another.
But as the Australian Government refused to back off from its demands for an international inquiry into the source of the Chinese Covid-19 plague, the dirty, corrupt, lying, disease-ridden Chinese have moved from insults to action. First the Chinese Communist Party threatened to put an 80% tariff on all barley products from Australia. And now the Chinese Communist Party has banned all beef imports from four major Australian abattoirs – about 35% of all Australian beef exports to China – supposedly due to labelling and hygiene concerns.
Yup, rat-eating, bat-eating, toad-munching, bird-saliva-guzzling, filthy Chinese
are accusing Australian meat producers of poor hygiene. You couldn’t make it up.
We don’t yet know how the Australians will react. While some Australians are outraged at China’s bullying, many Australians (including several billionaires who have become monumentally rich by exporting food and raw materials to China) are pressuring the Australian Government to back down and grovel to the bat-and-rat-munchers.
The lickspittle EU grovels
In the last two weeks, the EU was similarly threatened by the lying, dirty, corrupt, disease-ridden Chinese. An EU report into the Chinese Communist Party’s handling of the Chinese Covid-19 plague had to be censored to remove passages to which the Chinese objected. Then in an op-ed published in China to mark 45 years of EU-China relations, a reference to the coronavirus originating in China was removed at Beijing’s command.
China issues the orders. The EU obeys.
As for the UK – we are now so dependent on China that our leaders prostrate themselves before the Chinese in the hope of getting a post-Brexit trade deal.
My advice – your children and grandchildren had better start learning Chinese so they can ingratiate themselves with our new conquerors

When this is all over, we can expect a public inquiry into our Government’s mis-handling of the Chinese Covid-19 plague.
Hopefully this inquiry will expose some of the Government’s worst mistakes:
not taking the coronavirus seriously due to a fixation with Brexit
muddling between a ‘herd immunity’ strategy and a lockdown strategy
delays in implementing lockdown
allowing over 10,000 arrivals at Heathrow airport each week with no testing and no quarantining
turfing about 15,000 patients out of hospital into isolation, their families or care homes without any testing to make room in hospitals for the expected tsunami of Covid-19 victims
believing a statistical model of 500,000 deaths from a group at Imperial College who had a stunning record of hugely exaggerating the effects of every situation they had analysed in the past
etc etc
And the Government will be blamed (probably rightly) for many of the lives lost.
But nobody will be analysing the mistakes made by our career-hungry journalists and how many deaths they have caused. In yesterday’s blog, I tried to show that we could expect a mere 5% increase in annual death rates from the Chinese Covid-19 plague. But irresponsible journalists, desperate to make headlines, breathlessly quoted ever-rising numbers of Covid-19 deaths without ever putting these into context.
One of the worst mistakes our useless, self-promoting journalists made as they tried to turn a problem into a crisis was the great ventilator panic:
Ventilators! Ventilators! We need more ventilators! Ooops!
You may remember that just a few weeks ago, a howling screaming, mouth-frothing mob of journalists was attacking the Government for not having sufficient ventilators available to treat Covid-19 patients. The result – massive panic by the Government and frantic efforts to get any company that could producing ventilators for our hospitals. Who knows how many millions or tens of millions were spent buying these ventilators?
But you won’t hear our worthless, self-promoting, careerist journalists mentioning ventilators any more. Why not? Because our intensive care doctors are now finding out that intubation (putting Covid-19 patients on a ventilator) when they have ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome) has been a disaster with over half of intubated patients dying.
Of course, there could be a chicken and egg situation here. Are the intubated patients dying in such high numbers because only the most seriously ill patients are intubated? Or are the high death rates due to intubation being the wrong treatment protocol for Covid-19 sufferers?
Increasingly, it seems that many medics are concluding that intubation is the wrong treatment for Covid-19 patients with ARDS. Here’s a graph of the level of intubations being performed at one New York hospital. If you can read the graph, you’ll see the level of intubations fell off a cliff on 4 April:
This is in spite of the fact that the peak for Covid-19 cases in New York wasn’t until 14 April.
In the UK on 27 March, 78% of Covid patients who had gone to NHS ICUs were intubated and ventilated within 24 hours of arriving. By April 24, that number had gone down to 67%. The cumulative mortality rate for NHS ICU Covid patients decreased from 52.1% to 50.7% over that same period.
This is why you won’t see our mostly worthless journalists mentioning ventilators any more. Because journalists (with their useless degrees in English or Gender Studies) got it wrong. Because we didn’t need more ventilators at all. What we actually needed were more CPAP devices and faster repurposing of existing medication to keep patients off ventilators – off the death machines which our journalists had so enthusiastically promoted just a few weeks ago.
Media asshole-level indicator
And now that the Government are suggesting we gradually lift lockdown, our sh*t-for-brains journalists are at it again. Once again a frenzied, screaming, howling, spittle-flecked mob of journalists are berating the Government. This time it’s for supposedly having ‘mixed messages’ and for ‘not making it clear‘ exactly how every single person in the country should act in every single possible imaginable situation during the gradual lifting of the lockdown.
When the PM did his Sunday evening talk, journalists screamed in outrage that the PM’s message lacked detailed instructions even though Boris Johnson made it perfectly clear that the Government would be publishing a 50-page document the next day detailing its advice. When the 50-page advice was published, the media mob howled that it didn’t cover every single eventuality that could possibly happen anywhere in the country even though the Government made it quite clear that further documents on helping reduce Covid-19 infections – such as redesigning work-places to allow social distancing – would be published this week. And when Boris Johnson dared suggest that people use their “common sense” rather than expecting the Government to tell them exactly how to behave, this caused total emotional meltdown in our self-regarding, UK-hating media.
Plus of course, given that the ginger-pubed wee Krankie from North of the border would never allow Scrotland to follow the same path as the hated English (especially the hated Brexiteer Johnson), journalists are now berating Johnson for not having a consistent policy for the whole UK and accusing Johnson of “breaking up the UK” even though the journalists know full well that policy on the Chinese Covid-19 plague is a matter for the devolved parliaments.

That’s over 12,000 a week – more than one every single minute!
This isn’t healthcare! This is mass murder!
I’m getting more than fed up with sensationalist, scaremongering, idiotic reporting. IT DOES NOT HELP!!! It merely turns otherwise intelligent, educated people into the pitch-fork wielding mob demanding ridiculously extreme measures – like shutting down the economy for several more weeks or months – supposedly to save lives. But this is only guaranteed to make other unintended consequences of those measures far worse than the problem itself.
Yesterday, the Sunday Times’s leading story was that a too rapid exit from the lockdown could lead to 100,000 deaths. Oooooh. Pretty frightening, huh? Of course, it’s meant to be. Such sensationalist crap sells newspapers and works as excellent ‘click-bait’. Then the Sunday Times can count the number of online readers who click on the story and use that to charge more from advertisers.
The Sunday Times even had a supposed ‘reader survey’ which asked – “should the government protect lives or protect the economy?”
I absolutely guarantee that there will be more than 600,000 deaths in the UK this year. I bet you all the money I haven’t got that I am correct in this. Moreover, I don’t need a poorly conceived, poorly-developed and poorly-managed mathematical software model produced by a self-important, media-hungry bonking boffin, Professor Penis, to prove this. My 600,000 deaths, are the deaths we naturally expect to occur given our usual average annual UK deaths plus a few more – perhaps 5% more – from the Chinese Covid-19 plague.
Here’s a (hopefully readable) chart of the average number of deaths in the UK by week:
So in an average year, deaths go from about 14,000 a week in the winter to about 10,000 a week in the summer. And this year, of course, there is a rise in deaths due to the Chinese Covid-19 plague. The rise seems to have hit 6,000 a week at the highest point before starting to fall:
This year there will probably be 60,000 or so deaths attributed to Covid-19 – an increase of about 10% on the usual annual average. But of the Covid-19 deaths about 90% will have serious underlying health problems and thus limited life expectancy. Plus we must take into account that the median age of death is 80 which means that half the deaths will occur in people over 80. Life expectancy in the UK is around 81. So, while careerist journalists hyperventilate about 60,000 Covid-19 deaths, the real figure for excess deaths will probably be closer to 30,000 – a mere 5% increase on the usual average number of annual UK deaths.
But you won’t find many journalists keen to put the Covid-19 deaths into context as just a 5% increase in deaths.
Moreover, many of the UK’s Covid-19 deaths are self-inflicted and unnecessary. They were caused by the NHS turfing about 15,000 NHS patients out of hospital into self-isolation or care homes without testing them for Covid-19 in order to free up hospital beds for the expected Covid-19 victims. Many of those needing the freed-up hospital beds turned out to be the very patients who had been sent into care homes from hospitals in the first place – but only after infecting a few other people in the care homes into which they were dumped!
Of course, if somebody dared suggest – “calm down Covid-19 will only increase UK deaths by about 5% so let’s get the economy moving again” – there would be howls of froth-flecked rage from the hordes of perma-offended out there who will scream, “are you saying my granny is expendable?” and “you’re putting money before my granddad’s life and he fought in the war”.
There are an average of 200,000 abortions just in England and Wales each year:
Nobody seems to care about that! We don’t see many journalists screaming about almost 4,000 human beings being slaughtered every week in hospitals and clinics.
Of course, the Chinese Covid-19 plague is a crisis. Of course, we mustn’t end up in the situation of Italy and Spain where people were dying because the healthcare systems were overloaded. But we need to keep Covid-19 in perspective. We need to analyse the situation calmly and unemotionally. We absolutely MUST reopen the economy and very soon. Our grandparents and ancestors before that would be baffled by the degree of panic and fear that we have unleashed. After all they lived their whole lives side by side with diseases and wars with far higher death rates!
The risk for the vast majority of the population of suffering serious consequences from catching coronavirus are less than one in a million.
Time to get back to work. Time to re-open the economy.
As CO2 emissions plummet, what excuses will the Greenies make now?

The western economies have been shut down for approx 2 months due to Covid-19. This might be an intended outcome for dangerously committed extreme lunatic lefties and climate alarmists.
So, in effect, the Climate Change Act version of ‘net zero’ has been achieved 30 years earlier than enacted for. However if these climate believers are correct, atmospheric CO2 ought to be reducing due to virtually nil emissions from western nations’ human sources. After all, we are told that human emissions make up most of the increases reported by NOAA and Mauna Loa.
Using CO2-earth shows that between April and May 2019 atmospheric CO2 increased by 0.23ppm (413.52-413.75). Yet between April and May 2020 the increase was 0.39ppm (416.18-416.57)
If these figures are correct, then human source emitted CO2 cannot be the major cause of the increasing amount of atmospheric CO2 unless there is a long time lag between emissions and measuring. During our ‘lockdown’ industry, shipping, transport etc has mostly shut down yet atmospheric CO2 is still increasing. In fact increasing more than last year.
If true it could be startling and vanquish all of the renewable energy scam.
NOAA, on its website, says it has not seen any slowing in the rate of increase of CO2. However, I’m sure these figures will be massaged soon. NOAA never releases raw data so there will be ample opportunity to ‘correct’ the published figures.
If atmospheric CO2 levels keep increasing while emissions from human activity drop off a cliff, then this blows a brobdingnagian-sized hole in the whole Greeny “CO2 will kill us all” mantra.
But don’t worry. The Greenies have already started getting their excuses in early. If you Google something like “How much have CO2 emissions fallen due to Coronavirus?” you’ll find endless articles claiming the current drop of at least 25% in CO2 emissions from human activity “won’t be sufficient to stop Climate Change”.
Or here’s another Greeny excuse I found: “The declines are still too small to be read by greenhouse gas observatories around the world, like the one on top of the Mauna Loa volcano in Hawaii, given the natural changes in atmosphere this time of year. Because much of the Earth’s land mass is in the northern hemisphere, plants and forests there cause carbon levels to fluctuate as they bloom in the spring, drawing carbon dioxide from the air”.
That’s an odd claim to make when the Greenies have always previously claimed they could accurately measure atmospheric CO2 levels for the last hundred years or more.
Expect much Greeny ducking and weaving over the next few years as the few intelligent people left on this planet increasingly question the Greenies’ great religion.

Why do the deranged hate the truth?
Yesterday I was reading an article in the Times (online) and looked at a few readers’ comments. One idiot claimed that the two countries with the highest Covid-19 “death rates” were both run by populist leaders and that this showed populists didn’t care how many of their people died. I assume this idiot meant the UK with over 30,000 deaths and the US with over 70,000 deaths.
So I replied to the idiot’s comment by pointing out that the country with the highest death rate was socialist Belgium with 726 Covid-19 deaths per million. Then came socialist Spain with 558 deaths per million. Then socialist Italy with 491 deaths per million. And in fourth place was the UK with 443 deaths per million. Moreover, if the UK had managed to achieve the USA’s comparatively low 226 deaths per million, then only about 14,000 Brits would have been killed by the Chinese plague – and about 15,000 more would still be alive.
What I found interesting was that the idiot writing total garbage to cast sh*t at hated ‘populists’ Johnson and Trump got about five times as many recommendations/likes from other Times readers as my comment which gave factual information.
It seems that those suffering from Boris Derangement Syndrome and Trump Derangement Syndrome hate any facts that contradict their mouth-frothing world view.
Why do the BBC and C4 News never mention Taiwan?
This morning on the BBC Breakfast news there was a report on how South Korea is restarting its football season. In fact, throughout the whole Covid-19 plague we have been bombarded with reports from the BBC and C4 News about how wonderfully South Korea has dealt with Covid-19. South Korea with its fast response and ‘track and trace’ is frequently held up as an example of best practice in controlling the spread of the Chinese plague.
This is odd. Of course, the results from South Korea are impressive – only 256 Covid-19 deaths – a death rate of just 5 per million. But there’s another country which has even better results than South Korea. That country is Taiwan. Taiwan has just 6 Covid-19 deaths – 0.3 deaths per million of population. If the UK had managed to achieve Taiwan’s fast and effective response, then only about 20 Brits would have died from Covid-19 instead of over 30,000.
Strangely, neither the BBC nor C4 News ever mention Taiwan as a good example of Covid-19 control. They always choose South Korea. This wouldn’t have anything to do with the BBC and C4 News’s anti-West, anti-Trump, pro-China bias, would it?

Hopefully readers have all recovered from their justified hilarity watching the farce of Professor Neil ‘Mystic Meg’ Ferguson, the Bonking Boffin, being exposed for ignoring his own rules about social distancing and self-isolation so he could reportedly enjoy amorous trysts with his married f**k-buddy:
Now the Bonking Boffin seems to be avoiding the media attention he so eagerly sought at the beginning of the Chinese Covid-19 plague outbreak. However, as the Bonking Boffin runs for cover, some people are starting to question why anyone took any notice of the Bonking Boffin’s advice in the first place:
From what little I understand, the Bonking Boffin has made some pretty deluded predictions in the past:
Bird flu, prediction 200 million deaths. Actual deaths – 282
Foot and mouth – culled 6 million healthy animals at a cost to us taxpayers of £10bn. The Bonking Boffin (also known as Professor Fraud to those suspicious of the reliability of his now infamous modelling) has apparently now admitted his 2001 modelling was flawed.
Swine flu – estimates based on Professor Fraud’s model – 65,000. Actual deaths – 457
BSE prediction between 50 and 50,000 deaths. Here he did get it right (sort of). The actual deaths were 177 which is within his range of somewhere between 50 and 50,000
Swedish academics using the Bonking Boffin’s model envisaged Swedes having 40,000 Covid-19 deaths by 1 May and almost 100,000 by June. Even a mandatory lockdown was expected to have only limited Sweden’s Covid-19 death toll to 20,000. The latest figure for Sweden is 2,680 deaths, with daily deaths peaking a fortnight ago
Given the somewhat questionable accuracy of so much of the Bonking Boffin’s previous modelling, it seems extraordinary that anyone took his predictions seriously.
And now we find out more worrying information about the Bonking Boffin’s Mystic Meg models:
An earlier report, in 2006, Use and abuse of mathematical models: an illustration from the 2001 foot and mouth epidemic in the United Kingdom, identified Professor Ferguson’s modelling as having been the biggest driver of government policy. The paper said that “the models were not fit for the purpose of predicting the course of the epidemic and the effects of control measures. The models also remain unvalidated. Their use in predicting the effects of control strategies was therefore imprudent.”
On 22 March, Ferguson reportedly admitted that Imperial College London’s model of the Covid-19 disease is based on undocumented, 13-year-old computer code, that was intended to be used for a feared influenza pandemic, rather than a coronavirus
Modellers at Oxford University came up with quite different results for the Chinese Covid-19 plague than Professor Pr**k. But the Government ignored them. Moreover, when people asked to see the assumptions built into Professor Fraud’s mighty model, we were (I believe) told that this wouldn’t be possible as much of the information was in his head and not written down
We now also know that the Bonking Boffin’s f**k-buddy is a lefty environmental activist, living in a multi-million pound house as do so many self-regarding, holier-than-thou Greenies (hello Emma Thompson and Leonardo Di Caprio and Prince Harry and Meghan). So a cynic might be forgiven for suspecting that the Bonking Boffin’s recommendation to close down the economy and ruin the lives of millions of ordinary people could have been influenced by his political views rather than any supposed ‘science’
From what little I understand, the Bonking Boffin being a professor has a guaranteed job for life. So he wouldn’t be affected in any way by an economic collapse. In fact, it would make life easier for people like him – no more crowded roads, cheaper cleaners and gardeners and housekeepers, no more unwashed plebs on the planes they’d be taking to attend important international conferences about saving the environment or whatever or when they go on expensive holidays that the rest of us could never afford and so on and so forth.
The Bonking Boffin’s amorous antics have made the Government’s whole “Stay at Home – Ruin the economy – Bankrupt Britain” (sorry, I meant of course “Stay at home – Protect the NHS – Save lives”) strategy into a Whitehall farce. I expect it will be with great relief that our floundering government moves on to the next stage of its non-existent strategy for dealing with the Chinese plague.
Meanwhile, having followed the priapic professor’s advice, Britain has proudly shot to number one position in Europe for the number of Covid-19 deaths.
Let’s hope that the next time Britain is faced with some kind of disaster our government won’t turn to Professor Penis for advice.
A shared interest in Staats?
I’ve just read this in the Daily Mail – “Prof Ferguson is thought to have met Ms Staats’s husband and they share an interest in data science” (also known as statistics or ‘staats’). The bad jokes just keep on coming.

You have to laugh. Dr Doom – Professor Neil ‘Mystic Meg’ Ferguson from Imperial College – the man whose doom-laden predictions of 500,000 Covid-19 deaths led to the Government imposing the economy-destroying and life-destroying lockdown has been caught meeting up with his married lover. Presumably Dr Doom had these trysts so he could shove his mighty helmeted warrior of love into the good lady’s temple of paradise.
Never in the history of statistical epidemiologists has one man provided so much amusement to so many.

Joke 1 – Joe Biden
Facing the prospect of having to do a televised one-on-one debate with Donald Trump, corrupt Joe ‘China’ Biden has a heart attack and dies. He goes to Hell where the Devil is waiting for him.
“I don’t know what to do,” says the Devil. “You’re on my list but I have no room for you. But you definitely have to stay here, so I’ll tell you what I’m going to do. I’ve got three people here who weren’t quite as bad as you. I’ll let one of them go, but you have to take their place. I’ll even let YOU decide who leaves.”
Creepy sleepy Joe thought that sounded pretty good so he agreed.
The devil opened the first room. In it was Richard Nixon and a large pool of water. He kept diving in and surfacing empty-handed over and over and over, such was his fate in Hell. “No!” Biden said. “I don’t think so. I’m too sleepy and old. I don’t think I could do that all day long.”
The Devil led him to the next room. In it was Tony Blair with a sledgehammer and a room full of rocks. All he did was swing that hammer, time after time after time. “No! I’ve got this problem with my shoulder. I would be in constant agony if all I had to do was break rocks all day!” Biden complained.

As tensions increase between the free West and the corrupt, lying, disease-ridden Chinese, President Trump is considering how to punish China for unleashing the Chinese Covid-19 plague on the world.
But one person who won’t be supporting any moves against the corrupt, dirty, lying Chinese is Democrat presidential candidate – ‘honest man of the people’ Joe Biden. Why not? Because the Biden family have taken hundreds of millions of dollars from the corrupt Chinese Communist Party.
China Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, seems to be a bit of a disaster area. He was a drug addict, an alcoholic and even discharged from the Navy Reserve. He had an acrimonious divorce and also had a sexual relationship with his dead brother Beau’s widow. But none of that seems to have prevented him from becoming a very wealthy and successful businessman while his father, Joe Biden, was Vice President.
In September, 2008, Hunter launched a boutique consulting firm, Seneca Global Advisors, named for the largest of the Finger Lakes, in New York State, where his mother had grown up. In pitch meetings with prospective clients, Hunter said that he could help small and mid-sized companies expand into markets in the U.S. and other countries. In June, 2009, five months after Joe Biden became Vice-President, Hunter co-founded a second company, Rosemont Seneca Partners, with Christopher Heinz, Senator John Kerry’s stepson and an heir to the food-company fortune, and Devon Archer, a former Abercrombie & Fitch model who started his finance career at Citibank in Asia and who had been friends with Heinz at Yale. (Heinz and Archer already had a private-equity fund called Rosemont Capital.) Heinz believed that Hunter would share his aversion to entering into business deals that could attract public scrutiny, but over time Hunter and Archer seized opportunities that did not include Heinz, who was less inclined to take risks.
In 2012, Archer and Hunter Biden connected with Jonathan Li, who ran a Chinese private equity fund, Bohai Capital, and began talks about working together. They did a large real estate deal together in 2013 and began setting up a joint fund. In late 2013, Hunter Biden traveled with his father on official business to China, where he introduced the vice president to his partner, Li.
The new firm, Bohai Harvest RST, would go on to invest in facial-recognition technology used to surveil China’s Muslim population as part of its ongoing cultural genocide operation. The firm, according to the Wall Street Journal, planned to raise $1.5 billion in capital to invest in companies both inside and outside China. I believe the Hunter Biden and Chinese joint venture has bought stakes in several US real estate and high-tech companies.
I doubt you’ll see this story in any of the UK’s Democrat-loving, Trump-loathing mainstream media.
From the little I understand, the lawyer for the clearly delightful Hunter Biden has claimed that Hunter Biden never benefited financially from using and abusing his father’s position. What a wonderful, charitable person Hunter Biden is.
But, of course, the problem for America and the world is that, if ‘honest’ Joe Biden becomes the next president, will he go easy on China because loads of Chinese money seems to be pouring into his family’s bank accounts?

Every day at the Downing Street briefing we’re shown a chart of Covid-19 plague deaths by country. (I realise this chart is fairly unreadable, but I’m sure you’ll recognise it):

From this chart, it looks like Britain is following roughly the same path in deaths as France, Italy and Spain, whereas, under Donald Trump, the USA is a total disaster.
But when you redo the chart in deaths per million of population, the situation looks quite different:

A couple of things to notice:
Multi-culturally enriched Belgium is really the worst disaster zone – not the USA. The BBC never mentions Belgium’s Covid-19 mess as the EU is based in Brussels and the BBC never criticises anything connected with their beloved EU
The USA actually has fewer deaths per million of population than Sweden. Yet we’re constantly told by the BBC and C4 News how well Sweden is managing the Chinese plague and that President Trump is an idiot who has totally mismanaged his country’s response to the Chinese Covid-19 plague.
And yesterday evening the BBC were at it again – quoting the huge number of Covid-19 deaths in the USA and ridiculing Trump for talking about getting America back to work. Yet at the same time, the BBC is breathlessly and admiringly reporting how countries like Italy and Spain are easing their lockdowns. The BBC never mentions that both these countries have more than twice the number of deaths per million than the USA.
Vaccine venom – BBC attacks Trump (yet again and again)
On this morning’s BBC news, the lying BBC were at it again – ridiculing Trump. This time it was over Trump’s claim that a vaccine would be available by the end of the year. To discredit Trump the BBC claimed that White House medical experts had contradicted the president.
But while mocking Trump’s claim about a vaccine, the BBC seems to have forgotten its own gushing reports about a vaccine being developed in Oxford going into trials last week and possibly being ready by the end of the year.
Sarah Gilbert, professor of vaccinology at Oxford University, told the mainstream media last month she was “80 per cent confident” that the vaccine being developed by her team would work and could be ready by as soon as September. At that time, the BBC were grovellingly gushing with praise for her team’s efforts. But when the hated Trump makes the same claim, the BBC immediately attacks him and mocks him.
BBC – lying, biased, West-hating scum. It’s time to scrap the licence fee and let the BBC sink or swim.
Was the economic suicide necessary?
One key thing to notice from the deaths per million figures is that Sweden has fewer deaths per million than many other developed countries and yet has managed to avoid destroying its economy by imposing the kind of lockdown they have in the USA or we have in the UK. While large gatherings are banned in Sweden, schools, bars and restaurants have remained open. Of course, I realise there are many reasons for this – lower population density, more people already living alone, better healthcare system and so on.
But a cynic could start to wonder whether the drastic, economy-shattering, recession-causing lockdown we’ve had in the UK was really necessary. A cynic could even question whether the lockdown could have been much more targeted to avoid the massive life-destroying unemployment we’re about to experience. For example, maybe we could have focused Britain’s response at protecting the most vulnerable – the elderly and those with comorbidities – while doing everything possible to preserve normal functioning life for those at less risk? In particular, maybe we could have kept schools open allowing millions of parents to stay in work? After all, children are hardly affected by the Chinese Covid-19 plague.

I absolutely understand that the sight of thousands dying in hospital corridors in Italy and Spain due to lack of space, medical staff and equipment panicked our Tory Government into possibly over-reacting. The Tories’ greatest political vulnerability is the perception that they are enemies of and have underfunded the NHS. Moreover, the Government had the recidivist doom-monger and habitually-wrong Professor Neil Ferguson at Imperial College predicting utter disaster – 250,000 or 500,000 deaths or whatever without a lockdown. Hence our Government had a major ‘brown-trousers without bicycle clips’ reaction and trashed the economy to avoid an Italy or Spain scenario.
Anyway, perhaps the lockdown in the UK was made necessary by the Government’s dithering and delay which allowed the Chinese plague to become widespread? Moreover, the Government’s desperate rush to empty hospitals by shunting many elderly patients off to care homes without doing any Covid-19 testing has turned out to be little short of catastrophic.
But here, providing another perspective to the mainstream media narrative, is the inimitable Tony Heller explaining that our rulers may have made rather a baddish sort of mistake by trashing our economies:
Beware the media’s weasel-wording to discredit Trump
First, let’s celebrate that President Trump has said what no other world supposed leader has dared to say – it’s almost certain that the Chinese Covid-19 plague was accidentally leaked from one of the two research institutes in Wuhan – either the biosafety level-4 Wuhan Institute of Virology or else the biosafety level-2 Wuhan Centre for Disease Control.
Readers will hopefully know that the Wuhan Institute of Virology is where bat virus expert Dr Peng Zhou was researching how bats could carry Ebola, SARS and Coronavirus without becoming ill themselves. Here’s Dr Peng Zhou describing his own work from the Wuhan Institute of Virology website:
“Taking bats as the research object, I will answer the molecular mechanism that can coexist with Ebola and SARS- associated coronavirus for a long time without causing disease, and its relationship with flight and longevity.”
As for the Wuhan Centre for Disease Control – that’s the place that produced a short documentary film in 2019 boasting about how they had managed to collect over 2,000 different viruses from bats to study in their research.
But given that Trump has dared accuse China of allowing the virus to leak from a Chinese research lab, we can expect all the Trump-hating media and Trump-loathing academics to do all they can to discredit Trump’s claims.
Their first attempts to discredit Trump’s claims is to quote scientists who have said that the virus developed in animals and was not created in a lab. That’s what the BBC were using today.
But, of course, Trump never actually said the virus was created in a lab. He said it accidentally leaked from a lab.
Another approach the Trump-haters are taking is to claim there’s no way the Covid-19 virus could be a bio-weapon because it kills only about 1% of those infected – mainly the elderly and those with serious comorbidities. But Trump never claimed the virus was a bio-weapon.
So, please listen carefully to the media’s weasel-wording as they try to discredit Trump by knocking down claims he never made in the first place.
China is our enemy – we must defend ourselves
Hopefully some people in the West are starting to realise that China is our enemy. Just in the last week, Chinese officials have threatened Australia, the EU, France and the Netherlands with economic sanctions if those countries dare criticise China over China’s Covid-19 lies and cover-up.
In a way, the Chinese Covid-19 plague is a bit like 9/11. Until 9/11, most people didn’t understand how much the Religion of Peace hated us and wanted to conquer and kill us. After, 9/11 the Religion of Peace’s hatred for us became clear. Similarly, for years China has been the enemy of the free world and has been conducting economic warfare against us. Now, with the Chinese Covid-19 plague and China’s aggressive threats to countries and the EU, China’s belligerence and plans for world domination are being increasingly exposed.
Here’s an email one occasional reader sent me:
It is clear that the Covid-19 virus will prove to be a game changer in the way that business is conducted.
Apart from the colossal cost to the economies of the West caused by this virus, the scourge of long term unemployment must also urgently be addressed.
To do this, it is imperative that that Western Governments wake up to the fact that China is our enemy and has no respect or regard for our rules, our philosophies or anything to that which we hold dear.
The solution is quite simple. Boycott China by imposing import tariffs of 100% or more. Tariffs which can be adjusted to make the price of goods imported from China match or even exceed the cost of local manufacture.
Such a policy would stimulate local manufacturing all across the West which should be additionally encouraged by governments implementing substantially reduced tax rates on business who make their profits through manufacturing.
The results would be seen very quickly where unemployment is reduced as manufacturers recruit more and more workers from sectors that have been crippled by the virus pandemic. The tax take for the governments would increase substantially as unemployed workers were enrolled in manufacturing enterprises and the haemorrhage to the West’s balance of payments which shifts ever eastwards to China, would dry up.
China would find itself with no export markets and unable to continue its ever increasingly aggressive foreign policies towards its neighbours and countries further afield which would mean that an inevitable Word War could be avoided and the cost and efforts of the West in matching China’s military might would ultimately be reduced.
Countries such as Australia whose economies at present are geared to exporting raw materials to China, would find new markets as new Western manufacturers appeared and could be financially helped temporarily by western governments who could club together to allow Australia to stockpile raw materials at agreed prices which would iron out boom and bust scenarios until a new international status quo was in place.
This is not just a formula that would work for the U.K. but a formula for a coalition that other Western economies and friends of the West could join together to implement leaving China to stand alone until it begins much needed political reforms both internally and externally and ceases to be the pariah state that it has deliberately set out to become.
