weekend blog
Probably the most important and revealing quote by any UK politician this year came from a Ms Cat Eccles, a Labour MP for Stourbridge. The brilliant Ms Eccles accused the home secretary, Shabana Mahmood, of “trying to appease the electorate” with Mahmood’s policy blitz against “illegal migrants”.
This quote from Ms Eccles exposed what our rulers really believe. They no longer feel they have been elected to represent the views of the electorate. Instead they see themselves as being part of a superior class which knows what is good for the electorate and which can impose on the electorate the views and beliefs of the ruling elites. Thus government policies are no longer something that are done for the electorate. Instead they are things which are done to the electorate.
We see this in almost everything the ConLibLab governments have done over the last several decades:
- the electorate doesn’t want open-borders, Third-world immigration. But the elites impose mass immigration on us because they despise us and believe that Britain should be open for everyone
- the electorate doesn’t want British homes and the British economy to be bankrupted by the highest electricity prices in the world. But the elites believe the anthropogenic Global Boiling nonsense and so are determined to impose their ruinous, economically-suicidal Net Zero policies on us
- the electorate doesn’t want 1984-style censorship of free speech and North-Korean-style digital IDs. But the elites desperately want to control what we think and say and do, so they use the police and the courts to beat us into submission deciding what we are allowed to say and do
- the electorate doesn’t want to pay tens of billions to Mauritius to take some British territory off our hands. But the elites grovel to some worthless international court and hand over our territory and our money
- the electorate know that there are only two sexes and two genders. But the elites bow down to the trans crazies and try to force us to believe something we all know not to be true – that there are many genders
- most of the electorate are proud of being British and of Britain’s history. The elites despise Britain and British history and are determined to indoctrinate us and especially our children into believing that everything Britain has done in the past was imperialist and evil and therefore we owe a duty to all those who we supposedly ‘oppressed’ but actually saved from primitive savagery
- the electorate know that slavery has always existed and that many British sailors and soldiers gave their lives to stop the transatlantic slave trade. But the elites want us to believe that we were responsible for slavery and so we, who have never owned slaves, should pay reparations to those who have never been slaves
- the electorate know that many of the hundreds of thousands who can’t be arsed to get a job as they’d rather live off benefits are lazy parasitic skivers and scum. But the elites see them as ‘victims’ and will tax and tax and tax those who do work in order to pay for the idle and feckless
I could go on, but you probably get the picture by now.
So, don’t be surprised next time our government brings in policies which make your lives more difficult and impoverish you. For the ruling elites, policies are something they do to the electorate, not something they do for the electorate
Keir the (c)rapper?
And here’s yet another rather amusing AI political parody video. They seem to be coming thick and fast nowadays:
