What is the difference between a Lefty and a normal person?

First I’d like to make a small helpful suggestion. Given the demographic make-up of the country which we used to call ‘France’, wouldn’t it be best to have a ‘Two-State’ solution by which we can divide France into two countries:

• France ancienne (the parts of France inhabited by those who are actually French and believe in their country)
• La Republique Islamique de France (a new state ‘from the Seine to the sea’ where violent, backwards, intolerant, primitive, West-hating, multi-cultural enrichers are the clear majority)

I’ll just leave this one up for one day as I suspect readers will not be as impressed with my ‘brilliantly insightful’ philosophical epiphanies as I am.

I was reading the “A Life in a Day” page at the back of a recent Sunday Times colour supplement. The person being interviewed about his unbelievably interesting life was some rather gravitationally- and follically-challenged supposed ‘comedian’ who (I believe) was often on the BBC. So, of course, he is a died-in-the-wool Lefty.

Here’s what this genius said or wrote or whatever:

“I’ll watch some clips on YouTube, increasingly about American politics as the Midterms approach. If those elections go ahead, then American democracy lives to survive another day. If they’re substantially interfered with, we’re looking at a full-scale tilt into genuine fascism”

This confused me as the US Midterms are going ahead and President Trump is often out campaigning. So why would this ‘comedian’ be writing seriously about “a full-scale tilt into genuine fascism”?

This led me to my ‘great epiphany’ about the difference between a normal person and a Lefty:

• a normal person looks at the facts – the elections are going ahead and President Trump is out campaigning. They then come to a conclusion based on the facts – there’s nothing to be concerned about
• a Lefty starts with a conclusion – Trump is a fascist or Hitler or Ghenghis Khan or the Devil. As Trump is clearly a fascist or Hitler or Ghenghis Khan or the Devil, then the Midterms will be interfered with and the USA will become a fascist state

Or here’s another example: There have been two great genocides in the last century:

• the slaughter of probably more than one million Armenian Christians by our incredibly peaceful and tolerant Turkish Islamic friends
• the slaughter of about six million Jews by our incredibly peaceful and cultured German friends

A normal person might look at history and understand that Israeli Jews are somewhat sensitive to the fact that their Arabian neighbours want to finish what the Germans started by murdering all Israeli Jews. Moreover, the normal person might also look at the rapid increase in the Palestinian population and see that it is increasing at a healthy rate:

But the Lefty ‘knows’ that Israeli Jews are evil oppressors of the poor, peace-loving Palestinians and their peace-loving, uncorruptible, multi-billionaire Hamas and Fatah rulers and thus the beastly Israelis must be committing genocide on the Palestinian population. The Lefty will, of course, ignore the fact that the Palestinian population seems to be growing at an impressive rate and therefore, if the Israelis are responsible for supposed ‘genocide’, then they’re not very good at it
