Tuesday blog
I have actually written a blog for today. But then I came across this article on The Daily Sceptic. It seems that a photo of a supposedly ‘starving’ child in Gaza was a lie. The boy was actually suffering from cerebral palsy and several other debilitating diseases. I wonder if those conditions might have been the result of consanguineous marriage? By the way his mother and brother actually looked reasonable well fed.

I’m not denying that the situation in Gaza is probably pretty ghastly. But it would help if the mainstream media reports were at least a little bit truthful.
And here’s a brief extract from the Global Nutrition Report:
The State of Palestine has shown limited progress towards achieving the diet-related non-communicable disease (NCD) targets. 42.0% of adult (aged 18 years and over) women and 29.5% of adult men are living with obesity. The State of Palestine’s obesity prevalence is higher than the regional average of 10.3% for women and 7.5% for men. At the same time, diabetes is estimated to affect 20.7% of adult women and 20.1% of adult men.
I doubt the BBC or any other mainstream media will ever mention that!
