I never realised so many Germans were Mandelsonians

Having worked with many Germans and occasionally in Germany, I had always assumed that Germans were vigorously heterosexual. I supposed that Germans went about their sex lives the same way they approached most things – sex was done on a regular basis, at the same time each week, and was accompanied by much thrusting and guttural grunting. But one of the many fatuous, non-scientific observations I have made while travelling around Thailand is that the largest group of homosexual men in Thailand appear to be Germans. Virtually everywhere you go, you will see German men, usually aged over 60, walking lovingly hand in hand with young Thai boys/men.

So, another illusion shattered – Germans are not all stiff-armed, saluting  automatons hell-bent on world domination. Many appear to be limp-wristed, shirtlifting Mandelsonians.
