Tuesday/Wednesday blog
Apologies if readers are already aware of this story. But as I think it’s quite important, I’ll cover it anyway.
The USA’s “Ministry of Truth”
USA’s Department of Home Security (DHS) is setting up a new Disinformation Governance Board. The Board is being set up to coordinate countering misinformation related to homeland security.
By a strange coincidence, this Disinformation Governance Board is being set up precisely at the same time as Elon Muskvowed to make Twitter a free speech haven after his $44 billion takeover of the social media platform notorious for selectively censoring right-leaning points of view and banning the former US president, Donald Trump.
The newly formed panel will target supposed misinformation aimed at key points of vulnerability for Biden and Democrats such as southern border migrants, as well as monitor and prepare for Russian disinformation threats asthis years midterm electionsnear, the DHS announced.
The spread of disinformation can affect border security, Americans safety during disasters, and public trust in our democratic institutions, the department said in a statement.
The DHS said that the board will protect privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties as part of its duties.
That’s OK then, isn’t it? Clearly theDisinformation Governance Board has no resemblance at all to George Orwell’s Ministry for Truth in his dystopian novel “1984”.
The lady who will be running this abomination is (as far as I understand) a strong Democrat supporter and Trump hater who enthusiastically pushed the Trump Russia collusion hoax and who furiously condemned all the lurid stories about drug addict Hunter Biden’s computer as being “Russian disinformation“.
The EU’s “Ministry of Truth”
In the same week, the EU passed the new Digital Services Act which will force large online platforms to do more to tackle illegal content or risk hefty fines under new internet rules agreed between European Union countries and EU lawmakers on Saturday.
The new EU rules ban targeted advertising aimed at children or based on sensitive data such as religion, gender, race and political opinions. Dark patterns, which are tactics that mislead people into giving personal data to companies online, will also be prohibited.
In addition, very large online platforms and online search engines will be required to take specific measures to limit our freedom of speech during a crisis (whether that crisis is real or just manufactured by our rulers to increase their control over us). This move was reportedly triggered by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the related disinformation.
I believe that in theory the EU’s Digital Services Act is aimed at reducing the quasi-monopolistic market power of the largest Internet companies. But it seems to someone as ignorant as myself that the Digital Services Actcould easily be used to ban anyone suggesting ‘blasphemous’ things like – the Covid vaccines are unnecessary for most people, Covid leaked from a Chinese lab funded by Dr Frankenstein Fauci, Joe Biden is a senile basket case or that the claims of the climate catastrophists are a load of nonsense.
Although the US has just got the Democrats’Disinformation Governance Board, some Democrat Congress members are suggesting that the US also ought to have a Digital Services Actjust like the EU.
The UK’s “Ministry of Truth”
Furthermore, I believe the UK government is also in the process of bringing in new legislation to control what appears on the Internet. The UK government claims that the new legislation won’t limit freedom of speech. That’s the same government which claims that babies as young as 6 months should all have four or five or six or seven vaccine shots against the Chinese lab-leaked plague – a plague which the government says didn’t leak from a Wuhan lab.
But I haven’t checked the details of the UK government’s new legislation yet. Probably most readers know more about it than I do.
Am I really the only person beginning to see a pattern here?
Censored, cancelled, banned?
In my Monday blog, I recounted how I had been censored and threatened with banishment by a website called LinkedIn for daring to suggest that it was questionable whether 6-month-old babies really should be vaccinated against the lab-leaked Chinese plague. Here again is the warning I was given:
Your article doesnt comply with our policies.Your article goes against our policy on misinformation. It has been removed.
Repeatedly creating content that doesnt comply with ourProfessional Community Policiescould lead to yourLinkedIn account being restricted. |
Thank you for being part of the LinkedIn community |
This is actually quite chilling. After all, it’s only a small step from being cancelled by websites for saying something which goes against a government’s preferred narrative on subjects like vaccines or climate change or the benefits of uncontrolled immigration or whether diversity really is our strength or whether women have penises or whether men can give birth or whether the Religion of Peace really is actually peaceful to being cancelled by banks and insurance companies and even electricity and water suppliers for supposed “offensive beliefs” or even being a “danger to public order and safety”.
There are loads of videos on YouTube expressing outrage at the Democrats’Disinformation Governance Board.
Here’s just one from a media outlet I trust – Australia’s Sky News. But there are plenty more if you want to learn more about this political and moral obscenity:
(By the way, you can leave or read comments containing information, misinformation or disinformation by clicking on the headline)
This is quite a disturbing read. There have been joking references to Orwell but it suddenly seems to becoming reality. It surely is only possible because of the success that governments and NGOs have had at spreading misinformation.
I was checking articles that I have and found one on the 97% climate consensus which used the term agnotology, defined as the study of ignorance through the circulation of misinformation calculated to mislead. It is from a paper by Legates, Soon, et al, Climate Consensus and Misinformation: A Rejoinder to Agnotology, Scientific Consensus, and the Teaching and Learning of Climate Change. It makes the following point Agnotology, then, is a two-edged sword since either side in a debate may claim that general ignorance arises from misinformation allegedly circulated by the other. Effectively, this is saying that people do not know who to trust, so it really is about ignorance when education is supposedly better than at any time in our history. It must follow from this term that there is Agnotocracy. Another aspect of this, is that it prevents debate because people become so polarised in their views and their views are not based on science or any rational thought. This results in anger which we see in comments on social media and it is probably true to say this form of anger would not exist in face to face discussions. This is what technology is doing to some people.
Mattias Desmet has discussed this mass formation and describes it as a form of hypnosis saying that about 30% of the population are effected by it, 30% are not and the other 40% go along with those hypnotised. I dont know where he gets this split from, but if the 30/30 division exists there should be more people speaking out about this. We should expect to find 30% of the MPs objecting to the climate crisis and forced vaccination, etc, but we do not.
On the issue of child vaccinations, Mark Steyn discussed this with a statistician on GBNews last night who used the number needed to vaccinate to prevent one hospitalisation. I dont remember the number but it was huge. We have difficulty understanding statistics and this number is easier to understand and it is calculated from the absolute risk reduction (1/ARR). The vaccine studies used efficacy of about 95% and it is not clear what this refers to because of the poor trial design but it works out to about 100 people needing to be vaccinated for one to benefit, by preventing at most a minor infection. The trials did not cover death, hospitalisation or serious infection. I suspect people thought that the vaccine would prevent 95 out of a 100 from being infected. It is misinformation on a huge scale.
Really interesting and informative comment. Many thanks.
All of the existing tribes still have religious rituals that go back to pre-history that aim to ward off evil spirits.
Unfortunately, the more “civilised” and the longer there is no warfare, this aspect of human nature is forgotten and the evil spirits possess enough people so that they are able to take over every aspect of that civilisation. The current tragic state of affairs.
The kingpins are mostly the People of the Lie”, who suffer from the soulless state of mind called Narcissistic Personality Disorder. The sufferers, usually sociopaths and psychopaths devoid of empathy, can’t tell the difference between what is true and what is false and so make use of whatever is best suited to feed their insatiable greed and hard-wired dishonesty.
It has already been said by several observers, including the historian David Starkey, that what is taking place now is a revival of intolerant puritanism. A new religion that has its priesthood.
The 19th-century German philosopher, Friedrich Nietzsche, whose predictions have turned out to be uncannily accurate so far, predicted how it would end in his book, “Thus Spoke Zarathustra”.
From “OF THE PRIESTS”
“Once as the sea tossed them about, they thought that they had landed upon an island, but behold , it was a sleeping monster! False values and false scriptures: they are the worst monsters for mortal men – fate sleeps and waits long within them. But at last it comes and awakes and eats and devours all that have built their huts upon it.”
When this tragic age, in which this new religion is attempting to reverse and falsify everything, is over, it looks to me as if either most life will be wiped out and have to grow again or this new priesthood will be wiped out. I have a feeling that the latter outcome is what is fated.
Biden’s disinformation czar is Nina Jankowicz.
Adam Schiff is Chair of the US House Intelligence Committee.
He is the man who Tucker Carleson points out in the Fox News video, below, blamed Russia for Hillary Clinton losing the 2016 presidential election. Carlson says that the Democrats want war with Russia as revenge for that loss and Adam Schiff said as much himself.
It is not very difficult to guess their ethnicity.
The sheer number of that ethnicity involved in the insanity that is taking place now cannot possibly be a coincidence.
Gladys Berejiklian, ex-PM of Australia’s most populous state, New Soth Wales, who resigned due to being accused of corruption, is another one.
Tucker Carlson: This is why Democrats are taking us to war with Russia –
The UK government doesn need a Ministry Of Truth Its had one for the last 100 years, Its called the BBC
