GB News goes woke?
I have been trying for weeks to get interviewed on GB News about my latest book – “THERE IS NO CLIMATE CRISIS”. But I just get ignored. A couple of days ago I think I found out why – even GB News now believes Greta’s climate catastrophist nonsense and has started pumping out climate catastrophist propaganda. So GB News would hardly want to interview someone who could actually make a credible case that the whole climate crisis hysteria was just a mass delusion with absolutely no factual basis.
I switched over to GB News for a few minutes last Wednesday or Thursday. There was some kind of panel discussion about supposed impending disaster from supposedly man-made climate change. Some crazy woman made five claims that were complete garbage. But nobody on the panel of ‘experts’ had either the knowledge, or perhaps courage, to contradict her.
Here are her five claims and the reasons they are all rubbish:
Claim 1: “99% of scientists agree that humans are causing climate change”
Firstly, the study on which this is based actually claims 97% of scientists, not 99% of scientists. But more importantly, if anyone has read chapter 9 of my book THERE IS NO CLIMATE CRISIS, they would know that the 97% figure was developed by an Australian web designer (not a climate scientist) with a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Western Australia. Moreover, I explain in the book how the figures were fiddled to conjure up the magical “97% of scientists” when the real percentage of scientists believing human activities were responsible for climate change was actually only 8.2%.

Claim 2: “Climate change will lead to crop failures and mass starvation”
CO2 is an essential element for plant growth. Many agriculturalists put CO2 generators in their greenhouses to raise CO2 levels from 413 parts per million in the atmosphere to 1,000 to 1,200 parts per million in their greenhouses. This improves crop yields by 30% or more. Crop yields across the world have been increasing as atmospheric CO2 levels have been rising from 280 parts per million 150 years ago to the current level of around 413 parts per million:

Rather than leading to crop failures as the woman claimed, rising CO2 levels are actually leading to a greening of the Earth.

Claim 3: “Climate change will lead to millions of deaths in natural disasters”
This woman claimed that many more people than ever before would die in increasing numbers of natural disasters such as droughts, floods, wildfires and suchlike.
In fact, the number of people being killed by climate-related natural disasters has fallen by over 90% over the last century:
Rising CO2 levels have actually coincided with rising prosperity and rising life expectancy:

Claim 4: “Climate change will lead to conflict and wars”
During the 1960s and 1970s, the Earth went through a period of cooling. Instead of worrying about supposed Global Warming, the scientific consensus was that there was a risk of a new Ice Age:
Even the now rabid global-warming-believing Guardian newspaper was predicting Global Cooling just 50 years ago.
This Global Cooling would, the scientists assured us, lead to crop failures, mass starvation and war as countries fought over dwindling food resources. This scenario was taken so seriously that the US CIA did a study assessing where global cooling wars would break out:
But, of course, by the 1980s, the Global Cooling stopped and everyone (especially the Guardian) quickly forgot about the impending new Ice Age and all jumped on the Global Warming bandwagon.

Claim 5: “The floods and droughts in Australia show climate change is already happening”
Here’s a copy of an article from an Australian newspaper from 1868 showing that alternating floods and droughts were common in Australia long before anyone started wetting their beds about supposed catastrophic man-made climate change:

Woke GB News cowards?
There is some good stuff on GB News such as the monologues by Patrick Christys and Neil Oliver and sometimes Farage does ok.
But when it come to supposed climate change, GB News seems to have gone totally woke.
So GB News would never dare invite me on any programme or interview me. The new woke, climate-change-believing GB News doesn’t dare question the ever more hyperbolic claims of the Greta-worshipping climate catastrophist cult.

I’ve been telling you this for a long time. Any objections from GB News are about the policies, increasing energy cost for example, and it is obvious that when the interviewee starts to talk about the climate change justification for the policies that the interviewer hasn’t got a clue about it. It’s one idiot talking to another when it coms to science. GB News has become unwatchable, it’s just like a chat show.
I’ve just read a book by a well known climate science sceptic and they don’t have a grasp of the fundamentals of physics. They don’t do anything that involves making anything that works so they carry on with nonsense. They are obsessed with energy balances, energy in = energy out, especially at the earth’s surface. Energy balances do not exist. There is only the law of Conservation of Energy which applies everywhere. The clue is in the name thermodynamics. Thermo relates to heat and dynamics relates to change. If there is a balance of energy flow in and out, then there can be no change in temperature. They don’t get the basics which they reveal in everything they say. They have turned thermodynamics into a steady state problem which hence makes it absurd.
Well done for bringing out the trolls on The Spectator web site. It doesn’t often happen. Perhaps you have achieved something – one small step at a time. The Spectator is going downhill. It started well with the pandemic by having views from the Oxford evidence based centre, but it soon dropped them for the accepted narrative. It has never been good on climate.
Just a thought, but my old Hyundai Getz, made in 2006, complies with both the new ‘Green’ petrol – rolled out after the fake ‘petrol shortage’ allowed filling stations to clean their tanks – and the London ‘Ultra-low Emissions Zone’. What a curious coincidence……
The fact that well over fifteen years ago (allowing for design time probably twenty years) car manufacturers knew that these measures were inevitably coming, obviously shows for just how long the current ‘Net Zero’ policies have been planned, on an international basis.
And shows the futility of turning out every few years imagining that your vote for one or other of your nation’s variously-labelled millionaire crooks, swindlers, war profiteers and child-molesters will make the slightest difference to the policies under which you will be governed.
I am very disappointed with GB News. News? What news. It’s just a rather boring chat show and most of the presenters are far too anodyne. I expected so much more of GB News. Andrew Neill is well out of it.
The climate crisis has become an evangelical issue & cop26 is their Nuremberg rally. Sadly like all the other woke issues, no-one is allowed to gainsay the zealots. However some-one has started a petition for referendum on net zero. Signing it would be a start.

Even with education better than it has ever been, it is inadequate as Sagan recognises because most of us don’t understand it, or if we are fortunate to understand a small part, we don’t understand the rest. Education has to teach us how to demand clear explanations. In my view any scientist who cannot explain the work in simple terms should not be in the job. We must be taught to have the confidence to question what we don’t understand and we should never accept it if we don’t. Education is letting us down and the governments allow it because they prefer uneducated masses.
Sagan also refers to Jefferson being concerned about these issues. This was at a time when science was in its infancy. The Founding Fathers were very wise and understood that government power had to be limited but what they attempted to do with the American Constitution has slowly been eroded by politicians who only want power. Eisenhower also recognised how government decision making was being taken over by institutions.
In the west democracy has been sold to the masses as the means to put them in control, but it does exactly the opposite it has given unlimited power to politicians and they take more and more as they convince the electorate that democracy is for the greater good. One look at the percentage of votes required to form a government shows that it is a minority that determines what the majority have to accept. As Sagan says, the government and their advisers don’t understand the science they claim to be using to make decisions. We will see this displayed at COP26 and most will accept it with question.

I watched a bit of RT this afternoon.
They are not afraid to broadcast stuff that the MSM won’t touch, e.g. the torture of Julian Assange in a British prison, presumably to pressure him for a confession to assist judges’ decision on extradition to the USA. He has not committed any crime in this country.
The climate hoax also gets coverage – what about trying them David?
Lembit Öpik is the ex-Liberal-Democrat MP.
I have seen him saying on a few occasions, as part of a GB News panel, that he would be willing to debate anyone on the climate crisis. He actually used the words “There is No Climate Crisis, so he maybe he has read Dave’s book.
He also explained that photosynthesis is the chemical reaction that takes place inside plants in which CO2 is converted into oxygen and carbon-based food for plants to survive and consequently food for the rest of the world’s creatures to survive.
Carbon dioxide, water and light are all needed for photosynthesis to take place. Without any one of them, life would not be able to exist.
Maybe Öpik could be used to bring about a proper debate on GB News on the “climate crisis”.
I have a strange feeling that GCSE science doesn’t educate children about photosynthesis. That GCSE-level is as far as most children reach in a scientific education.
Greta is proof of how easily media hype can create an ignorant autistic child into an icon for a political movement.

With a bit of help from the “liberal” powers that be, many females have an innate ability to become tinpot dictators. E.g., Theresa May, Labour’s uneducated deputy leader Angela Rayner, the Krankie, Jacinda Ardern, the ex New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Kamala Harris, etc.
That must be why the “liberal” powers that be are so keen to get as many women as possible into positions of authority.
Boris Johnson told world leaders that he wants to build back better from the Covid crisis in ‘a more gender-neutral and perhaps more feminine way’ in his opening speech at the last G7 summit.

It started off well with discussion about climate change, the elites telling the little people what to do and this Crap26 conference that starts next week.
