As the US Navy SEALs launch another successful mission – first to kill Bin Laden and now to rescue two hostages from Somalia, perhaps we in Britain should ask what our navy is doing for us. First we had the embarrassment when some sailors were captured by Iran and then cried when their Ipods were confiscated. Then we had the navy just watch and do nothing when the yachting couple, the Chandlers, were taken by pirates. And every time our navy does catch pirates, they feed them, give them a medical check-up and then send them unharmed on their way. What about hanging them? Throwing them in the sea? Or letting them go back into their boat and then sinking itkilling them all like the Russians did?
Isn’t it time our useless, cowardly, incompetent navy defended our interests or else is disbanded saving the taxpayer a lot of money?
