I normally like to write my own blogs. But this piece by Rod Liddle in the Spectator is so good that I thought I’d use today’s blog to recommend it: http://www.spectator.co.uk/columnists/rod-liddle/9420582/its-all-kicking-off-in-the-islamic-world-nothing-at-all-to-do-with-islam-of-course/
Rod Liddle may be the only journalist in Britain with the courage to question the glorious Religion of Tolerance and Peace.
And here, for your enlightenment is a review that has just been written on Amazon by someone who bought my latest book THE GREAT CHARITY SCANDAL:
It’s hard to disagree that the charity sector needs an overhaul, however this piece of drivel has nothing to offer except Guardian-reader bashing.
Clarkson, oh, sorry, Craig takes a few sideswipes typical of the “common sense man in the street” view of complexity: “It was snowing in London, but still a charity is campaigning against so-called anthropogenic global warming/fraud/…” Can’t be any global warming if it’s cold, can there? The author is either deliberately disingenuous, or obtuse.
I am probably still slightly to the left in my politics, but have no brief for the Guardian, or it’s readers, but this stuff actually pushes me more in that direction.
A vile and moronic excrescence
Clearly the reader was somewhat upset by my book. I wonder why he bothered buying it:
By the way, THE GREAT CHARITY SCANDALis available for another three days at the knockdown price of just 0.99. So, if you want to read “avile and moronic excrescence” this is your chance!
“Religion of Tolerance.”
I must make a note of that. I like it.
A load of ROT.
Yes sounds about right.
What an agreeable change to find a well-known journalist having the guts to put down in writing, for a nationwide readership, what so many peaceable nominally Christian or frankly agnostic or atheist UK citizens think but scarcely dare say, even less put in writing. He’s had a run-in or two in the past with the lefties at the Beeb and clearly isn’t afraid to speak his mind. Very encouraging. Let’s hope he’s up for a repeat performance.
“so many peaceable nominally Christian or frankly agnostic or atheist UK citizens …”
I should of course have included those of the Jewish faith in the above sentence. I didn’t for the simple reason that I overlooked them, because the vast majority are now so thoroughly integrated into the UK way of life and practise their faith so unobtrusively that they tend to be overlooked. Which makes the attacks they have of late suffered in parts of the UK and the rest of Europe so deplorable.
“Which makes the attacks they have of late suffered in parts of the UK and the rest of Europe so deplorable”
I wonder which “community” is responsible for the attacks that unsettling the Jewish people here in the UK? The Media seem to think it is UKIPers! ( http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/celebritynews/11373324/Actress-Maureen-Lipman-may-leave-Britain-over-attacks-on-Jews.html ) Perhaps they mean ROPers.
I know which of these “communities” I would rather have settled here.
Another day, another thing for them to object about – Michelle Obama this time. I always liked her better than her hubby.
It’s probable that many of those idiots engaging in Jew-bashing are so pig-ignorant that they can’t distinguish a Jew from a Muslim. Their lives are so unfulfilled and their brains so vacuous that they will have a go at anyone they perceive as more intelligent and able than themselves. After all, they will happily lay out hundreds of pounds for tickets to see the current pop-idle, regardless of the fact that he or she is very probably Jewish.
And yes – three cheers for Michelle Obama.
…should have read “pop idol”…………
