A Schoolchild’s Guide to Climate Change

Friday/Saturday blog

Given the recent outbreak of panic and hysteria about Climate Change in the UK’s media after two days of quite hot weather in a few places (mainly near airports) in Central and Southern England, in this blog I’d like to provide what I’ve called “A Schoolchild’s Guide to Climate Change” by trying to answer six very simple questions. Apologies to those who were generous enough to buy my book “THERE IS NO CLIMATE CRISIS” and to many other readers as there is probably nothing here you don’t already know.

Question 1: Is the Earth getting warmer?

Since satellites started measuring the Earth’s temperature in the 1970s, there are indications that the Earth may have warmed by about 0.06ºC in 43 years:

(to see images more clearly left-click on the image and then left-click again)

But as different satellites have been used over the years and the figures have been constantly adjusted by the main meteorological authorities, we cannot be absolutely sure.

Question 2: Is this warming unexpected?

In the 1960s and 1970s, the Earth’s temperatures fell by so much that all the experts agreed the Earth was cooling and that there was a risk of a new Ice Age:

The experts predicted that this new Ice Age would devastate agriculture and lead to the deaths of millions and even wars as countries fought to get food for their populations:

So, the fact that there has probably been a 0.06ºC warming since the end of 20 years of cooling is just a normal part of the Earth’s natural cycle of warming and cooling.

Question 3: Is the Earth warmer now than it has been for hundreds of years?

No. There were terrible heatwaves between 1910 to the end of the 1930s. In fact, it was so hot that climatologists then believed that the polar ice caps would melt and many millions would die in catastrophic flooding:

You may have heard of the American ‘dustbowl years’ described in John Steinbeck’s novel Grapes of Wrath. Those were in the 1920s and 1930s.

Question 4: Are more people being killed by extreme weather?

No. In the 1920s and 1930s millions died in droughts and floods:

The number dying in climate catastrophes since then has fallen by around 95% while atmospheric CO2 levels have risen from around 300ppm (parts per million) to over 400ppm:

Natural Disasters – Our World in Data

So, if the BBC or C4 News or your teacher or anyone else tells you that more people are dying due to extreme weather caused by rising atmospheric CO2 levels, they are talking nonsense and are either a liar or a fool or both.

Not only are far fewer people dying due to extreme weather, but the human race has never had it so good in spite of all the warnings of doom and disaster by the climate catastrophists. Although the world’s population has shot up from around 1 billion in 1820 to over 7 billion now, a much smaller percent of the world’s population are living in extreme poverty than even before:

Question 5: What cases the Earth’s climate to change?

The Earth’s climate has always changed and always will change. Due to the shape of the Earth’s orbit around the sun there are glaciations every 100,000 to 120,000 years:

We are currently in an interglacial period.

In the shorter term, variations in solar activity lead to warming and cooling periods which can typically last from anywhere between 20 to 50 years. Then there are many other influences on the climate such as El Niño and La Nina, the Atlantic Multi-decadal Oscillation and levels of cloud cover. In fact, the Earth’s climate is such a complex thermodynamic system that we are very far from understanding how it actually works. But the idea that we can just adjust the Earth’s temperature by raising or lowering atmospheric CO2 levels, as if CO2 levels were some kind of simple thermostat like you have in your home, is complete codswallop.

Question 6: But what about the polar bears?

No need to worry about the polar bears. They’ve been around for tens of thousands of years and have survived more climate changes than you’ve had hot dinners. Moreover, ever since a treaty signed in 1973 limiting hunting of polar bears to 900 a year hunted by local people using traditional methods, it’s estimated that the polar bear population has increased from around 12,000 to over 26,000

Did Scorchageddon really happen?

Wednesday/Thursday blog

The great 2022 heatwave – Scorchageddon – has come and gone. One and a half to two days of hot weather in which thousands were predicted to die.

Some cynics have been circulating this picture which compares how weather forecasters used to present hot weather (map on your left) as something to enjoy compared to how they present it now (map on your right) something to terrify us all:

The Met Office forecaster said the picture has been doctored (Twitter)

So, how was your deadly heatwave?

Remember the 1911 heatwave?

I don’t because that was rather before my time. But here’s what happened:

The 1911 United Kingdom heat wave was one of the most severe periods of heat to hit the country with temperatures around 36 °C (97 °F). The heat began in early July and didn’t let up until mid September where even in September temperatures were still up to 33 °C (91 °F).

Perhaps you do remember the 1976 heatwave?

The 1976 British Isles heatwave was a period of unusually hot summer weather in the UK. At the same time, Britain and Ireland suffered a severe drought It was one of the driest, sunniest and warmest summers (June/July/August) in the 20th century, although the summer of 1995 is now regarded as the driest. Only a few places registered more than half their average summer rainfall. In the CET record, it was the warmest summer in the series until being surpassed in the 21st century. It was the warmest summer in the Aberdeen area since at least 1864, and the driest summer since 1868 in Glasgow.

The British government implemented water rationing to mitigate the impact of the drought

What about the 2022 heatwave?

First just a couple of issues.

Issue 1: First time Met Office has announced a ‘Red Alert’: we are continually told by hyperventilating supposed ‘journalists’ that this year was “the first time the Met Office has announced a Red Alert”“. Actually, given that the Met Office only started issuing heat warnings in 2021, it’s hardly surprising that this is “the first time the Met Office has announced a Red Alert”. It’s a pity our climate-catastrophist supposed ‘journalists’ don’t mention this when trying to terrify us about climate change

Issue 2: Airports: We were told that record temperatures were recorded at Heathrow. I know this will come as a surprise to Britain’s leading climatologists: airports tend to be hot places, especially a massive airport like Heathrow – huge buildings blasting out heat from their air-conditioning systems, planes taking off or landing about every minute, large expanses of runways reflecting heat and high levels of heat-producing traffic. So, to even mention the temperature at Britain’s largest airport as a sign of global warming is totally nonsensical. Moreover, I have a feeling that the supposedly hottest temperature yesterday was at a place called Coningsby. Though we weren’t told that this is a RAF base – again jet planes and wide expanses of tarmac would have increased the temperature. I believe Charlwood also had particularly high temperatures yesterday. Charlwood is a village right next to the Gatwick runway.

I also note that we were warned that temperatures would hit 42ºC and could even reach 43ºC. As far as I can see, nowhere, not even our busy airports, even reached 41ºC.

What we can say is that yes, record temperatures were reached in several locations. But these temperatures only persisted for one day whereas the 1911 and 1976 heatwaves lasted for several months. So, the question must be: which gives a better indication of our climate – one day of record temperatures or several months of unusually hot weather? You decide.

What about the wildfires?

Our media have relished trying to frighten us with apocalyptic images of wildfires as Britain supposedly burns:

But the same media are curiously incurious about how these wildfires started. Why were there so many wildfires on Tuesday and none on Monday which was almost as hot as Tuesday? Did a few grannies spontaneously combust on Tuesday because they didn’t drink enough water to keep themselves cool? Or were most of the fires started by worthless scrotes or even Extinction Rebellion activists encouraged by the predictions of record heat?

Thankfully some provincial newspapers like the Manchester Evening News cast a little light on this conundrum – most of the wildfires in the Manchester area seem to have been deliberately started by arsonists:

https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/it-beggars-belief-police-fire-24534913

Though we don’t know if these arsonists were just bored teenagers or environmental activists.

Similarly, the great wildfires on Saddleworth Moor in the height of summer 2018 were also started by arsonists.

It’s a pity that none of the national mainstream media have shown any interest in investigating the cause of these wildfires.

Tony Heller puts it all into context

Thankfully we have Tony Heller to help debunk all the climate-catastrophist hysteria being pumped out by our mendacious, mainstream media:

Could someone please remind me why Britain went into lockdown?

Monday/Tuesday blog

I’m running a bit late today, so I’ll keep this short.

Why did we lock down?

We all know that Britain went into economically-disastrous lockdowns to supposedly avoid the hundreds of thousands of deaths from the Chinese lab-leaked plague predicted by the Bonking Boffin at Imperial College. And, I’m sure you all remember how Sweden chose a different path avoiding lockdowns and preferring to keep life as close to normal as possible.

Hopefully you’ll all also remember how at press conference after press conference our ‘journalists’ lambasted Boris Johnson for not locking down harder and faster. I’d like to name some of those journalists, but worry about the legal implications so I won’t. Hopefully you’ll know who they were.

What I haven’t seen from our lockdown-loving politicians, medical experts and journalists is any analysis of whether lockdown Britain performed any better than no-lockdown Sweden in terms of avoiding excess deaths. So I thought ‘d spend just a couple of minutes digging up the data.

Here it is. This is a chart comparing excess mortality for the UK and Sweden as a percentage increase in the expected number of deaths:

(to see chart in glorious widescreen technicolour, left-click on it and then left-click again)

Ooops and double oooops!

There seem to be two interesting issues emerging from this chart:

  • Excess mortality in the UK and Sweden followed very similar paths
  • Excess mortality has consistently been significantly higher in lockdown Britain than in no-lockdown Sweden

Of course, there could be several factors for lockdown UK having a higher excess mortality rate than no-lockdown Sweden. These could include things like the UK’s greater population density and higher rates of obesity and general ill-health in the UK population.

But even taking these factors into account, the chart does suggest that the ruinously-expensive, economy-wrecking lockdowns imposed in the UK had absolutely no beneficial effect in reducing excess mortality rates and may even have increased them by isolating people in their homes and discouraging people from seeking medical attention for conditions like cancers and strokes.

It’s a pity none of our useless politicians, now-knighted medical experts and supposed ‘journalists’, who were so keen on having us all locked down, have managed to find just a few minutes to produce the chart that I have made. Then maybe they could have apologised to us for getting things so wrong and helping ruin many thousands of businesses and hundreds of thousands of hard-working people’s lives.

Will the UK really reach 41ºC on Monday and Tuesday?

I know you should never make predictions, especially about the future. But I can’t help wondering if the UK’s temperature really will hit 41ºC on Monday ad Tuesday and kill thousands of people.

It will be interesting to see if this actually happens or whether all the dire warnings from our climate-catastrophist political rulers, the useless Met Office and our net-zero-propagandising mainstream media were all a load of scientifically-ignorant, control-the-plebs fear-mongering.

I suspect the latter will be the case.

If so, will our incompetent political leaders, the ‘experts’ at the Met Office and the hyperventilating, panic-stoking journalists apologise?

How many of Telford’s diversity enrichers are not paedophile gang-rapists?

Friday/weekend blog

Rotherham, Rochdale, Oldham and now Telford

You’ll all know about the recent report on the gang-raping of over 1,000 underage white working-class girls by ‘Asian’ men in Telford over a period of thirty years. So Telford joins a long and shameful list of English towns – Rotherham, Rochdale, Oldham, Oxford, Blackpool etc etc – where the gang-rape and occasional murder of underage white working-class girls seems to have been the favourite sport among men from a certain community.

And you’ll know that these girls were raped vaginally, anally and orally by groups of men one after another as the men phoned their cousins, brothers, uncles and friends to encourage them to join in the ‘fun’.

In this blog I’d like to play around with some simple numbers:

Let’s start with the official figure that ‘only’ 1.000 working-class, underage, white girls were gang-raped, tortured, threatened and beaten up by these ‘Asian’ men. Probably the truth is that many more were subjected to the same treatment.

Now I’ll start making assumptions:

Assumption 1: I’ll assume that these 1,000 girls were brutalised by these ‘Asian’ men for an average of five years each – from the ages of 11 to 16 or 12 to 17-years old. I imagine that once the girls reached 16 or 17 years old they were discarded and replaced by younger victims. That would give us on average 167 underage, white working-class girls being abused by ‘Asian’ men each year.

Assumption 2: I’ll suggest that each of these 167 girls a year were each raped by let’s say ten men in the course of each year. Of course, given the way the rapists invited all their male family members and chums to join in the ‘fun’, the real figure is probably much higher. However, some of the Asian men would have participated in raping several of the underage, white, working-class girls. So ten ‘Asian’ paedophile rapists per girl per year is probably a fairly safe estimate.

Conclusion 1: So, 167 girls being raped and brutalised each year by ten ‘Asian’ men each gives us around 1,670 ‘Asian’ men raping Telford’s underage white working-class girls each year.

Welcome to Telford

Next we need to see how many ‘Asian’ men of raping age there are in Telford. The ethnic breakdown of Telford according to the most recent government census is as follows:

White – 131,143: Asian – 6,647: Black – 1,717: Arab – 78: Mixed – 2,778: Other – 360

Now let’s take the 6,647 Asians. Around half will be female, so that leaves 3,232 men. Of these men around 55% will be in the age range of 18 to 64 years old – the age range most likely to be involved in raping and brutalising underage, white, working-class girls. That gives us 1,828 ‘Asian’ men of raping age.

Conclusion 2: If there are 1,670 ‘Asian men raping underage white working-class girls each year and there are 1,828 ‘Asian’ men in the age when one might be an active paedophile rapist, this would suggest that possibly up to 90% of Telford’s ‘Asian’ men were involved in raping underage, working-class, white girls.

Another way of looking at the issue would be to see how many of Telford’s population come from our favourite and most enlightened religion. The figure is 2,944. Again applying some simple arithmetic, we know that of these 2,944 around half – 1,472 – will be male. And of these 1,472 males, around 55% – 810 men – will be of raping age.

Of course, you can play around with the numbers any way you want and come come to any conclusion you want. But there’s something called “the inertia of large numbers”.  Whatever assumptions you make and however you run the numbers, you’ll  still end up with the conclusion that a large percentage of Telford’s diversity enrichers were likely to have been involved in the gang-rape of underage white girls over a period of at least 30 years.

West Mercia police – useless, corrupt of both?

As far as I know, only seven of Telford’s gang-rapists have been imprisoned for the rape of 1,000 Telford girls over a period of 30 years. I think these are the seven men:

In 2013 seven men were jailed following Operation Chalice, a police inquiry into child prostitution in the Telford area.

Given the number of underage, white, working-class girls who were raped, either these men were extremely busy raping underage girls or else an awful lot more men were involved. But the probably useless and probably utterly corrupt West Mercia Police don’t seem to have any interest in pursuing any further investigations. They seem to have taken the usual police attitude “nothing to see here, move along please”.

One story from this shameful episode which casts light on the West Mercia police’s attitudes was that a police car stopped beside a parked car in which an ‘Asian’ man was having his penis sucked off by a 12-year-old white girl. The police asked the ‘Asian’ man what he was up to. Apparently the ‘Asian’ man replied something like “she’s givin’ me a blowjob, innit”. The police then drove off not imagining there was anything in any way illegal with a 12-year-old white girl sucking the penis of an ‘Asian’ man.

As usual, not a single West Mercia policeperson has been disciplined for ignoring/encouraging 30 years of gang-rape, torture and the occasional murder of underage, white working-class girls by members of Telford’s most respected/protected community.

If you make a slightly risqué remark on Twitter or eat a bit of birthday cake during lockdown, the British police will be on you like a ton of bricks. But if you are a diversity enricher who spends decades gang-raping, torturing and beating underage, working-class white girls and even murder a couple, you’ve nothing to fear from our worthless plods. As Mark Steyn of GB News frequently says “the British police police everything except crime”.

Fancy a kebab?

I believe some of the underage working-class white girls were also beaten, burned with cigarettes and had lighter fuel poured over them and then threatened with being set alight. And a couple were murdered. There is strong evidence that in Blackpool one 14-year-old schoolgirl was sexually abused for years and then murdered and cut up to be served in kebabs.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10987039/Brother-girl-14-murdered-served-kebabs-Blackpool-died-heroin-overdose.html

So if you’ve ever eaten a kebab in Rotherham, Rochdale, Oldham, Oxford, Blackpool or Telford, you never know exactly what you might have eaten. But given the age of the girl being served up, I guess the meat was fairly tender.

George Orwell’s “1984” showed us the strength of simple slogans:

Today’s version of such slogans seems to be  – “DIVERSITY IS OUR STRENGTH”

Where Sri Lanka leads, Holland and Canada follow

Wednesday/Thursday blog

Sri Lanka leads where others will also boldly go

At Carrie’s, Boris’s and Alok Sharma’s utterly pointless Flop 26 climate jamboree in October 2021 in Scotland’s drug-addict and alcoholic capital Glasgow, Sri Lanka’s (IMHO utterly corrupt) PM, Gotabaya Rajapaksa got fawning applause from his fellow multi-millionaire (multi-billionaire?) peers as he boasted about all the wonderful eco-aware, planet-friendly policies his government was implementing. Chief among these policies was banning nitrogen-based fertiliser and various pesticides as the government ordered the country’s two million farmers to go organic.

The result of this boosting organic agriculture was a collapse in crop yields. For example, prior to this eco-stupidity, Sri Lanka was self sufficient in rice. Following the fertiliser ban, the country had to import around $450m of rice. Other Sri Lankan crops suffered the same fate, food prices there have been soaring and the UN reports that a third of Sri Lankan families have no idea where their next meal will come from.

It has been reported that the Rajapaksa family and their cronies have looted around $20bn during their many years in government. This massive corruption combined with the collapse in agriculture has, as you’ll all know, led to national bankruptcy, a plebs revolt, the collapse of the government  and widespread chaos in the country:

I rather suspect the Rajapaksas will soon be heading for new lives in Dubai joining equally corrupt former politicians who have similarly looted such countries as Afghanistan and the Land of Smiles.

Dutch government’s Dutch courage?

You’ll all be aware of the mass protests in the Netherlands as their government “does a Sri Lanka” – passes laws restricting drastically fertilizer use. This will bankrupt many farmers and has led to mass protests there:

There was even a policeman shooting at a 16-year-old teenager driving his father’s tractor in one of the protests:

While most commentators attribute the laws cutting fertilizer use to PM Mark Rutte’s government’s dedication to fighting supposed climate change, some of a more cynical disposition have wondered if there is an ulterior motive.

With a population density of around 510 people per square kilometre, the Netherlands are the most highly-populated major country in Europe:

(left-click on map and then left-click again to see more clearly)

The UK, in comparison, has 270 people per km2.

Dutch farmers own around 85% of the land in the Netherlands. So there really is no room to build any new housing. However, if a few thousand farmers went bankrupt and had to sell their land, that would give the Dutch government the chance to buy up this land to build homes for the hundreds of thousands of Third-World migrants pouring over the Netherlands’ non-existent borders in search of a “better life” – free housing and healthcare, living off generous benefits and crime and being free to rape as many Dutch girls as they want while the Dutch police are too busy stamping out any anti-government protests by taxpaying Dutch citizens to worry about what the migrant gangs are up to:

Canada – virtue-signalling with the best of them

You’d think that even politicians controlled by the World Economic Forum would start getting the hint that wrecking agriculture at a time of world food shortages and rapidly-rising food prices wasn’t such a great idea. But apparently Canada’s metrosexual ultra-woke PM Justin/Justine Trudeau’s government has come up with its climate plan which includes reducing nitrous oxide emissions from fertilizer by 30% below 2020 levels by 2030.

A report from Fertilizer Canada stated:

Total Emission Reduction puts a cap on the total emissions allowable from fertilizer at 30% below 2020 levels. As the yield of Canadian crops is directly linked to proper fertilizer application this creates a ceiling on Canadian agricultural productivity well below 2020 levels….

It is estimated that a 30% absolute emission reduction for a farmer with 1000 acres of canola and 1000 acres of wheat, stands to have their profit reduced by approximately $38,000 – $40,500/ annually.

In 2020, Western Canadian farmers planted approximately 20.8 million acres of canola. Using these values, cumulatively farm revenues from canola could be reduced by $396M – $441M on an annual basis. Wheat famers could experience a reduction of $400M.

Trudeau even seems to be aware of the problems his policies will cause:

“We’ve seen from the global pandemic to the war in Ukraine significant disruptions of supply chains around the world, which is resulting in higher prices for consumers and democracies like ours, and resulting in significant shortages and projected shortages of food and energy in places around the world,” Trudeau said.

“This is going to be a difficult time,” he continued, “because of the war, because of the recovery from the pandemic. And Canadians will do what we always do: we’ll be there for each other.

But Trudeau doesn’t seem to give a toss – after all, remember he’s trying to save the planet or else just doing what he has been ordered to do by you know who:

Thank heavens for Neil Oliver

That brings us to a recent video by the wonderful Neil Oliver from GB News. Nobody says it better:

It used to be called ‘summer’. Now it’s a ‘climate crisis’

Monday/Tuesday blog

Be afraid! Be very afraid!

If you watch weather forecasts, hopefully you’re terrified by the supposedly deadly heat-wave descending on Britain. We’re warned that temperatures might exceed 30 degrees in England this week. It was 24.3 degrees on Sunday somewhere in Northern Ireland and almost that ‘hot’ in Scotland.

This morning the BBC was almost in a panic warning of high UV levels, that vulnerable people should stay indoors and cover their windows and that people should be careful not to die of dehydration. And the BBC informed us that Sunday was the hottest day of the year so far. Even the main newspapers – the Times and Telegraph – went into a panic giving health warnings to their readers. The Daily Mail also seems to have caught ‘climate hysteria’ as it reported ‘Britain braces for hottest day of the year’ and quoted some ‘expert’ or other predicting up to 2,000 extra deaths this week due to supposedly ‘soaring temperatures’:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11001319/Britain-braces-hottest-day-year-far-TODAY-temperatures-soar-91F.html

Forgive my stupidity, but isn’t this what we used to call ‘summer’? Isn’t it normal that July is a bit warmer than January, February, March, April, May and June? Isn’t 30+ degrees for a few days in parts of England exactly what you’d expect during a British summer? Moreover, I’ve no doubt that in a few days temperatures will have cooled and it will be raining yet again.

Fortunately, most Brits seem to have ignored the BBC’s and other mainstream  media’s climate-alarmist nonsense and taken advantage of the warm weather by heading for the beach:

We should also be careful if the BBC and others of its ilk start trying to scare us with claims that temperatures will reach record levels. Then hottest recorded temperature in England was in a very secluded garden in the centre of Cambridge just beside large buildings with massive air-conditioning units pumping out hot air into the atmosphere – basically in a ‘heat island’ where most of the heat came from the buildings and not the sun. Heat islands can typically be anywhere from 3 to 4 degrees warmer than the overall temperature. As for the supposedly record hottest day in Scotland – this was caused by the exhaust from an ice-cream van parked just beside a weather station measuring the temperature.

Though there are apparently some idiots who cower in their homes believing that the climate apocalypse is about to destroy us all. This is a letter to some newspaper or magazine’s agony aunt:

Document_2022-07-10_153720

However, given that the film the person mentions – Don’t Look Up – is about a planet-destroying comet hurtling towards Earth, quite why the writer believes this has anything to do with supposed Climate Change is somewhat mysterious.

But, if you really are worried by the mainstream media’s predictions of climate Armageddon, you could always go and live in Antarctica:

The ‘advanced’ West must be clinically insane

Here’s the wonderful Tony Heller yet again exposing the utter nonsense being spouted by the mainstream media as they lie and lie and lie spewing out their climate-catastrophist propaganda:

Our wonderful ‘net zero’ future?

weekend blog

I bet you didn’t know about this

Here’s a link to a report produced by some of our supposedly leading academics detailing some of the changes in our lifestyle needed to reach ‘net zero’ by 2050.

https://www.ukfires.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Absolute-Zero-online.pdf

A slightly confusing part of the report is that it’s called “Absolute Zero”. At the start it mentions the UK’s legal obligation to reaching “net zero” by 2050 –  Delivering the UK’s climate change commitment with incremental changes to today’s technologies. But then the report only uses the expression “absolute zero”. I’m not sure if ‘net zero’ and ‘absolute zero’ are meant to be the same or whether “absolute zero” is a much more drastic target.

But anyway, let me quote (in blue text) just a few of the best bits:

Executive summary

We can’t wait for breakthrough technologies to deliver net-zero emissions by 2050. Instead, we can plan to respond to climate change using today’s technologies with incremental change. This will reveal many opportunities for growth but requires a public discussion about future lifestyles.

In addition to reducing our energy demand, delivering zero emissions with today’s technologies requires the phasing out of flying, shipping, lamb and beef, blast-furnace steel and cement

Travel – Stop using aeroplanes – all airports to close by 2050

Heating – Use the boiler for less time, if possible, staying warm by only heating rooms if people are sitting in them sealing up air gaps and adding insulation. Wear warmer clothes in winter.

Eating – Reduce consumption of beef and lamb as these have far higher emissions than any other common food

Energy – Replace existing on-shore wind turbines with much taller models to increase total generation by 50%

Taxes – The effective price of carbon must be prohibitively large by 2050 to discourage people from using energy

Construction – All construction of new buildings must stop by 2050

Trade – All ship-based trade must be phased out by 2050

(I wonder how they plan to phase out all ship-based trade by 2050 given that Britain is an island?)

I’m not joking

In case you think I’m making this all up, firstly I’m not that imaginative and secondly here are just a few of the key images from the ‘absolute zero’ report:

This one includes airports being closed:

And this one shows that eating beef and lamb must stop:

The report also mentions greatly reducing the use of fertiliser. We’re seeing what happened in Sri Lanka when their government banned imports of fertiliser – a 40% to 50% fall in crop yields, a massive increase in food prices, economic collapse and widespread starvation.

One of the key conclusions of the report is:

Our energy supply will be 60% less than today, and solely in the form of electricity”.

I wonder what cutting our energy use by over a half will do to the quality of life of us plebs? The elites, no doubt, won’t be affected by the Draconian restriction about to be inflicted on the rest of us.

Of course, the report’s recommendations will never be implemented in full. But the report possibly gives an insight into the kind of policies our rulers are planning for us in order to ‘save the planet’. After all, the Dutch government have just caused a massive farmers’ revolt by trying to cut fertiliser use:

And Dutch police have started to shoot live rounds at Dutch farmers to stamp out the protests:

So the kind of policies advocated in this report are already being used in various countries.

(Just as an aside, it’s odd that some of the most brutal and violent crackdowns on anti-government public protests recently have been in three of the world’s supposedly most liberal countries – Holland, Australia and Canada. However, this weekend’s blog is not the place for exploring why that might be)

The report was released in November 2019 and was authored by ‘UK Fires’, a collaboration between the Universities of Cambridge, Oxford, Nottingham, Bath and Imperial College London – the home of Professor Neil Ferguson.

This should cheer up your weekend!

A tough decision for Australia’s useless politicians?

Friday blog

As this is a bit of a continuation of my Wednesday/Thursday blog, I’ll just leave this one up for one day.

Floods – Australian government’s response

Faced with massive flooding, which has caused around 50,000 Australians to leave their homes, Australia’s government have to choose between two possible courses of action:

Solution 1 – Improve flood management and water retention schemes

The Australian government could look at the weather history from the last 150 years and notice that their country’s weather seems to alternate between floods and droughts:

(to see article more clearly left-click on it, then left click again)

Or the politicians could even look at a poem “My Country” by Australia’s most famous poetess Dorothea Mackellar written in 1904 when she was 19 years old and which contains the verse:

I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel-sea,
Her beauty and her terror –
The wide brown land for me!

Noticing that Australia’s weather seems to alternate between floods and droughts, Australia’s government could then decide that they should spend billions of Australian taxpayers’ money improving the country’s water management systems – building dams and flood defences, prohibiting housing on flood plains etc etc – both to mitigate future floods and better conserve water for inevitable future droughts.

Solution 2 – Change Australia’s climate by cutting CO2 emissions

The other possible solution to Australia’s floods and droughts would be to change the world’s climate by spending billions of dollars of Australian taxpayers’ money reducing the use of cheap, reliable fossil fuels and moving to expensive, unreliable supposed ‘renewable energy’.

Here are Australia’s  annual CO2 emissions compared to two nearby neighbours – China and India:

(to see chart in glorious widescreen technicolour, left-click on it, then left click again)

I think you can already guess which of these two solutions the new Australian Labour government, enthusiastically cheered on by most of Australia’s mainstream media especially the ABC (Australia’s version of the UK’s BBC), has chosen. Though I suspect the previous Scott Morrison Liberal government would have done exactly the same idiotic thing.

The world has gone mad

How the world’s two great dictators – Xi PingPong and Vlad ‘The Impaler’ Putin must be laughing:

I bet the two great dictators can hardly believe their luck as the advanced democratic West has a self-inflicted nervous breakdown and commits economic and societal suicide in the utterly futile battle to fight a totally imaginary threat – Global Warming or Climate Change or Climate Emergency or Climate Crisis or whatever it’s called this week.

The world has truly gone mad.

Here is Sky News Australia in despair at the Australian government’s Brobdingnagian stupidity. Sadly nobody in any UK mainstream media would dare question the ludicrous climate change cult like Sky News Australia:

Weather, vaccines – just more floods of lies

Wednesday/Thursday blog

Australia – floods of lies, a drought of the truth

I guess you all know that there are massive floods in Sydney and more than 50,000 people have been advised to leave their homes.

I know I cover the issue of Australian floods in my book – THERE IS NO CLIMATE CRISIS. So, apologies to readers who have read the book. But as the BBC and C4 News are so busy bleating and moaning about how Australia’s current floods are yet more proof of the supposed Climate Change Armageddon facing us all, I couldn’t resist the temptation to point out, yet again, what a load of unsubstantiated nonsense the climate catastrophists’ claims are.

In 2008, the Head of Climate Analysis at the Australian Bureau of Meteorology – reportedly “one of the nation’s most senior weather experts” – warned that drought might be the “new climate” for Australia due to supposed man-made Global Warming caused by burning fossil fuels:

This, of course, delighted the climate catastrophists as it was yet more evidence that burning fossil fuels would lead to disaster and turmoil and extinction and so on and so forth.

Unfortunately for the climate catastrophists, Australia’s great weather expert couldn’t have been more wrong as the Australian floods of their winter 2010/2011 were so severe that they reportedly caused the world’s sea level to drop:

No problem, the climate catastrophists just changed their story from ‘Global Warming will fry us all‘ to ‘Climate Change extreme weather events will kill us all’ as extreme weather becomes more frequent:

But the climate catastrophists’ dire predictions of Australia’s weather alternating between a Mad Max drought-blasted wasteland and Waterworld-style floods seems to ignore the inconvenient fact that a newspaper article from 1847 showed that during the period from 1789 to 1846 – Australia’s weather did exactly what the climate catastrophists predicted for the future – alternate between extreme droughts and extreme floods:

And this was long before anyone had thought of trying to terrify us all into cowering submission  to draconian restrictions on our lives in the supposed “battle against Climate Change”.

From climate nonsense to vaccine nonsense

And while we’re on the subject of our rulers’ scare-stories, yet more evidence is emerging that for most age groups, the risks of the ‘miracle vaccines’ outweigh the benefits.

Here (in blue text) is a summary of the conclusions of a recent clinical study comparing Adverse Events from the vaccines:

  1. Covid-recovered people have natural immunity that is stronger than vaccine-induced immunity. So, the benefit of vaccination is – at best – minimal. If the risk of adverse reactions is the same as in the randomized trials, there is a negative risk-benefit difference. Why are we mandating people in this group to be vaccinated? It is both unethical and damaging to public health.
  2. While everyone can get infected, children have a minuscule risk of covid mortality. There is very limited safety data from the trials on children. If the risk of adverse reactions is the same as for adults, the harms outweigh the risks. Children should not receive these vaccines.
  3. Older people above 70 have a much higher risk of covid mortality than the population in the Fraiman study. If their risk of adverse reaction is the same, then the benefits outweigh the harms. Hence, older people who have never had covid and are not yet vaccinated may benefit from these vaccines. However, we do not know if they are better than the Johnson & Johnson and Astra-Zeneca vaccines.
  4. It is unclear from the clinical trial data whether the benefits outweigh the risks for working-age adults who have not been vaccinated and who have not already had covid. This is true both historically, for the original covid variants, and currently for the newer ones.
  5. The Fraiman study analyzes data after the first and second doses. Both risks and benefits may differ for booster shots, but no randomized trial has properly evaluated the trade-off.

Are the Covid mRNA Vaccines Safe?

Are US mainstream media starting to question vaccine theology?

Furthermore, here’s an article from one US mainstream media – Newsweek – pointing out that there is absolutely no data justifying the vaccination of younger age groups and suggesting, yet again, that vaccination is a political rather than a medical decision – having forced vaccines on us, our Big-Brother rulers are terrified that, if they suggest the under-5s shouldn’t be vaccinated, people might start questioning whether the 5-12-year-olds should have been vaccinated or the 12-18-year-olds, or even the 18-25-year-olds or the 26-35-year-olds and so on and so on:

https://www.newsweek.com/why-america-doesnt-trust-cdc-opinion-1713145

And our rulers can’t allow us ignorant, unwashed plebs to question their wisdom, motives and decisions.

So the vaccine parade rolls on with all over-50s in the UK to be offered yet another booster in order to yet again “save the NHS”.

Silence isn’t always golden

Meanwhile, none of our politicians nor any mainstream media seem to be showing the slightest interest in how the Chinese plague, which has killed 5 to 10 million people and impoverished a few hundred million, started.

It’s all very odd, isn’t it?

Crazy decision to vaccinate children

Monday/Tuesday blog

Why are we vaccinating children?

Here we go again. Our Big-Brother elites and their supinely-obedient media are trying to hype up the threat of supposedly rapidly-rising WuFlu cases to soften us up so they can impose new rules and restrictions on us – wearing masks indoors, getting the 5th or 6th or 7th booster jab, jabbing babies, working from home, avoiding human contact – to ‘save the NHS’ or granny or whatever.

No doubt our rulers plan to coerce us into cowering obedience.

But not everyone is convinced by the latest scare campaign.

I was planning to use this blog to explain why vaccinating children was a political decision with absolutely no scientific justification. But then I found this letter written by 76 British doctors to our vaccine-propagandising medical overlords explaining why Britain should not be following America’s extremely dubious decision to vaccinate young children against the Wuhan lab-leaked Chinese plague.

Though much longer than anything I would ever blog, this letter explains the problem much better than I could:

People having a worse day than you

And here, to cheer us all up, is a short video featuring people having a worse day than any of us have ever had. It’s difficult to watch this short video without flinching:
