By David Craig, on April 27th, 2012 Multimillionaire (in my opinion) war criminal Anthony Blair and human rights (in my opinion) ‘witch’ Cherie must be laughing and laughing as they roll around in all their money. While Britain approaches bankruptcy and the Tories flail around hopelessly, incapable of sorting out the country’s problems, Team Blair can gorge itself on almost unlimited mountains of our cash. The Blairs did many things to ruin Britain, so here I’ll just mention a few. Most importantly, ably assisted by his lying sociopathic chancellor Gordon Brown, Blair doubled public spending, with no increase in services and so wasted about £1.3 trillion of our money. Most of this money went on a million more bureaucrats, failed IT systems and generous benefits payments for the millions who couldn’t be arsed to work even when, before the 2007 crash, there were millions of job vacancies. If Blair and Brown hadn’t wasted this £1.3 trillion, Britain would have no deficit, very little debt and we wouldn’t have to pay £45bn a year in interest payments – more than we pay for either defence or education.
Also, Blair passed lots of human rights legislation. This has allowed our enemies to spit in our faces and permits foreign crooks to stay in Britain where they can rob, rape and murder to their heart’s content. Our police are too busy enforcing Blair’s many political correctness laws to have time to deal with real criminality. Conveniently, all Blair’s human rights laws made his darling wife Cherie, a human rights lawyer, extraordinarily rich at the expense of British taxpayers.
Then we have the destruction of our education system in the interests of equality and uncontrolled immigration. There were dodgy dossiers getting us into the Iraq war and the £8bn Afghan disaster, both of which helped Blair suck up to the US where he would make a lot of his money after leaving Downing Street. Blair and the Witch spent a lot of time fawning to bankers – 23 of these scum got honours – and now we are all suffering from Blair’s lax regulation while, like Blair and the Witch, the bankers are drowning in our money. Blair, of course, gets a pile of money each year as an ‘adviser’ to one of these banks. Blair allowed MPs to fiddle their expenses and steal our money. Blair encouraged corruption by selling peerages. Blair grovelled to the EU and sold out British independence – possibly hoping he would become EU supremo after Downing Street. It was probably only Blair’s involvement in the Iraq invasion which prevented him taking the top job in Brussels.
It really seems that the Blair and the Witch Project has irrevocably ruined Britain.
By David Craig, on April 26th, 2012 There are plenty of people who want your money. High street banks will try to get you to buy supposed investments linked to the stock market because of the big commissions they get from your cash. And, of course, there are all the ads for ISAs – usually only offering attractive interest rates for the first year then dropping them to near to zero in the hope you’ll not notice you’re being fleeced. There are unit trusts which will pocket 5% of your money when you buy (unless you use a funds supermarket), up to 3% a year for managing your money and another 5% when you sell. And there are pension funds which will give you wonderful projections showing how they will make your money grow, usually using three rates – Low-5%: Medium-7%: High-9%. Unfortunately, most have never even achieved the low rate of 5%, but they have made themselves wealthy with the management charges they make you pay for their underperformance. For the more adventurous, there is spread betting – but beware, if you actually do start winning more times than you lose, the betting company’s computer system may block you every time you make a bad bet so that your losses will always be greater than your gains. If you put your money in any of these or any other savings or investments, you’re probably just achieving one thing – making financial services insiders rich at your expense.
So what can you do? One of the best investments you’ll ever make if you’re a basic rate taxpayer is to pay off your mortgage early. On most mortgages you’ll pay double what you borrow due to interest. So for a £200,000 mortgage, you’ll pay the lender around £400,000. But say you paid £2,000 a year extra back for the first five years on a £200,000 mortgage, then for paying £10,000, you’d save yourself £20,000 and cut 2-3 years off your mortgage. So you’re doubling your money and shortening your repayment time. And, you’re not making some greasy salesperson or incompetent fund manager at your expense. Of course, this may not be true for everyone, but for many people, paying off their mortgage early may be the best investment they will ever make.
By David Craig, on April 25th, 2012 Laid back, lying PM David Liar Cameron’s pathetic excuse for a government was recently described as an ‘omni-shambles’. Blunder followed blunder in glorious succession. There was the utter incompetence of the budget, the lies about pasties, the petrol crisis that didn’t happen and much more. But since then, things have got even worse. Now we find out we’re back in recession, the Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt was probably leaking confidential information to help Uncle Rupert Murdoch’s bid to buy the rest of BskyB, a Tory MP describes Cameron and Osborne as ‘arrogant posh boys’ and Osborne slips another £10bn of our money to the IMF to be thrown into the bottomless pit of the PIGS’ (Portugal, Italy, Greece, Spain) neverending debt while trying to make spending cuts of just £8.4bn here in the UK. Meanwhile the pointless Ed Miliband is streaking ahead in the polls just before local elections.
Omni-shambles is a great word. It brilliantly described this useless government’s pathetic efforts a couple of weeks ago. But with the latest blunders and gaffes, we probably new a new word. There’s mega-shambles or giga-shambles or meta-shambles. Or maybe we need something stronger than that. Liar Cameron said he’ll ‘get a grip’ and, like all failing politicians, claims that the problem is that the government is doing great things but just ‘not getting its message across’. Rubbish – Cameron’s government is bungling, useless, incompetent, dishonest and a national joke.
If Cameron really wants to get a grip, he should cut his cabinet down to 10 ministers at most, halve the number of our thieving MPs, put all Whitehall departments on a 3-day week, bring our troops home from Afghanistan immediately, demand the EU cuts its budget by 5% a year over the next five years and launch legal actions against the likes of Fred Goodwin for fraud, false accounting and theft. Instead he’s wasting time and money on things like causing chaos in the NHS, reforming the Lords, establishing elected mayors in a few cities and so on.
By the way, the pointless Afghanistan war has cost us over £8bn – pretty much the same amount Liar Osborne is trying to cut from public spending.
By David Craig, on April 24th, 2012 A few weeks ago, the FTSE100 was over 5900. At the time, US bank Citigroup issued a report claiming the FTSE100 would double to record highs in the next ten years. Sure enough, journalists were gushing over Citigroup’s claims. Here’s a link to probably one of the worst financial articles ever written https://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/markets/ftse100/9149524/FTSE-100-to-double-to-record-high-in-next-decade.html. Actually, it’s not really an article. In my opinion it looks more like a Citigroup press release rewritten by a lazy journalist to look like an article. Had you believed this rubbish and gone out to buy shares or put money in a unit trust, you’d already have lost over 5% of your money as the FTSE 100 is down to about 5660 and will go even lower as the eurozone implodes.
Citigroup’s claim is utter bollocks only aimed at getting PR and business for Citigroup. Over the last 100 years, US and UK stock markets have gone up by about 1% a year. So for Citigroup to claim they will suddenly go up by almost 8% a year to double in ten years is clearly rubbish. There was a brief period in the 1980s and 1990s, when markets went up by 4% a year. But that was due to a flood of baby-boomer money flowing into unit trusts and pensions. As the baby boomers retire, they will convert their pension savings into annuities. So money will pour out of stock markets and into things like government and corporate bonds. The US Government Accounting Office reckons that up to $1 trillion a year could be withdrawn from stock markets. Far from doubling as Citigroup and this (in my opinion) useless “journalist” suggest, stock markets may actually collapse. The only thing that could keep share prices up is if people in Asia, where there are massive savings, decide to put some of their money in Western stock markets. They might do this as Western stock markets are slightly less corrupt and rigged than markets in the Wild East.
So take it from me – the stock market will not double in the next ten years. Articles like this are trash and shoud be ignored.
By David Craig, on April 23rd, 2012 There are many reasons to criticise the EU – the waste, the incompetence, the greed, the corruption, the lack of democracy. But perhaps the most important is the anti-British attitudes and actions of the arrogant, overpaid, overpensioned euro-elite to whom we give £50m a day. Most EU countries either sycophantically follow all the unelected EU Commission’s edicts or else (like France) ignore them while pretending to be enthusiastic Europeans. Only in Britain do we dare suggest that the EU is a disaster – wasteful, incompetent, corrupt and undemocratic. That makes EUrocrats and MEPs hate us with a vengeance because we threaten their taxpayer-funded wellbeing. And most, including British EU officials who have gone native, will do anything they can to harm Britain’s interests.
Just two examples. Now Argentina have nationalised part of a Spanish oil firm’s operations, MEPs and EU officials are up in arms threatening all kinds of action against Argentina. Yet, when Argentina invaded the Falklands, the EU said and did nothing. In fact, the French rushed to sell Exocet missiles to Argentina which were then used to kill British troops. The French, like most Europeans, were hoping Argentina would win the war. Then we have the mockery of justice called the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR). Most of the ECHR judges are from corrupt countries (like Bulgaria) where justice is a joke and many of them have never before worked as judges. But time and again, however laughable the case, these corrupt, self-serving, biased fools delight in ruling against Britain.
We loathe the corrupt, wasteful, undemocratic EU. The corrupt, wasteful, undemocratic EU loathes us. Maybe it’s time for a divorce.
By David Craig, on April 22nd, 2012 Yesterday, I tried to deposit some money with HSBC. They offered me 0.05% interest – basically nothing. Yet HSBC can lend my money out for around 5% – a hundred times more than they pay me. That’s a pretty good profit for the crooks at HSBC. By deliberately offering such low interest rates, the high-street banks are almost forcing us to put our savings into risky investments on which they can make massive profits at our expense. At the moment the banks are raking in almost £10bn a year of ordinary people’s money by convincing us to put it into one of the worst “investments” ever sold to gullible savers. These schemes are usually called something reassuring like “Guaranteed Bonds” or “Growth Bonds”. They claim they will give savers something like 120% of stock-market growth over five years. But if the stock market falls, they guarantee to return all your money. I suppose people putting their savings into this “investment” (scam) don’t realise that almost all the benefits from buying shares come from reinvesting the dividends paid by the companies whose shares you hold, not from any growth in the overall market. Yet these schemes don’t give savers the dividends. In fact, most are based on complex financial derivatives and don’t actually buy any shares.
There is only one certainty with these schemes – savers are going to be awfully disappointed when they see how little they get after their bonds mature. So please, don’t let yourself or anybody you know put any money into these utterly crap savings schemes. They are a rip-off aimed at paying huge commissions to the people who are selling them and will only result in you losing money as inflation will ensure you actually get back less than you put in.
By David Craig, on April 21st, 2012 George “we’re all in this together” Osborne has just decided to hand over another wonderful £10 billion of the money that you and I paid in taxes to his overpaid, overpensioned friends at the IMF. That’s about £400 from each taxpayer in addition to the tens of billions we’ve already given. Once again, while bleating about taking tough decisions and doing what’s best for Britain in order to cut the deficit, the ruling elite take and squander eyewatering amounts on themselves. What will this £10 billion be used for? Probably to bail out totally bankrupt Spain in an effort to save the euro. Then next year, Osborne will have to give billions more. Spain is bankrupt. It has no money. Nothing. Nada. It cannot pay its debts. Its economy is in freefall without a parachute. It’s deader than the legendary Norwegian Blue. Like perennially bankrupt Greece, Spain has to get out of the euro and devalue to regain competitiveness. But our euroleaders cannot allow that. They cannot permit us to see the flaws in their great project to allow a privileged unelected Brussels elite to run the lives of 350 million Europeans. The elite don’t care if their great project results in the destruction of most of European industry, mass unemployment, misery and social breakdown. All they want is to keep grabbing more power and privileges for themselves.
Anyway, if things got really bad, Merkel – in the interests of “solidarity” with her European “friends” – could always send German troops onto the streets of Athens and Madrid to put down protests and restore order. That’s worked before. Our leaders are just lying, greedy, corrupt power-grabbing scum. Everybody should go to Brussels for a couple of days. It’s an eyeopening experience to visit the European Parliament and nearby bars, restaurants and brothels to see the ruling elite eating, drinking and whoring at our expense while they fill their pockets with our money.
By David Craig, on April 20th, 2012 Our greedy, incompetent governments have borrowed well over a trillion pounds – about £1,400,000,000,000 I think. Sociopathic buffoon Gordon Brown single-handedly managed to waste about one trillion pounds of our money. Then with unfunded public-sector pensions, PFI projects and other bits and pieces, the government owes at least another trillion or so. So that’s two and a half trillion pounds of debt. Fortunately for the government, we actually have that money. In fact, we ordinary people have around four trillion pounds in savings, investments and pensions. So our government has a choice – cut public spending and reduce the salaries of at least a million overpaid, overpensioned public-sector managers and bureaucrats or find some way of grabbing as much of our savings as our thieving lying politicians can without people realising they are being robbed.
Naturally, our politicians and bureaucrats have decided to keep their big salaries, expenses and pensions. So the only way to cut their debt is pocketing our savings. They’re doing this in several ways. Firstly, they’re using inflation to cut the size of the government’s debts knowing that this is decimating the value of our savings. Then they’re taxing the little interest we do get even though this interest is well below the level of inflation. So we savers are losing twice – once to inflation and then to tax. But the real ace in the government’s strategy is their plan to steal some of the £800 billion we have in pension funds. Our lying chancellor George Liar Osborne has already suggested that our pension fund money should be used to fund public-sector infrastructure projects such as roads and schools. Basically, the government is going to steal our money and waste it. Ken Livingstone has also spotted our juicy £800 billion pension money and he too is suggesting this should be “invested” in public-sector projects. Then when the ghastly Ed Balls becomes chancellor after the bungling, shambolic Tories lose the next election, you can bet your bottom dollar that he also will propose that in order to promote “fairness”, our pension money should be stolen and wasted by the insatiable Brown/Balls public-sector monster.
So, say goodbye to your pension savings – your wasteful, thieving, corrupt politicians need your savings to pay for their stupidity, greed and profligacy.
By David Craig, on April 19th, 2012 Argentina started the 20th Century as one of the richest ten countries in the world. For a while its economic position in the world was comparable to that of Germany today. It had a per capita income much higher than that of Japan and Italy and comparable to that of France. However, it ended the century with the largest default in history. And things haven’t got much better since then. Argentina is now languishing 53rd in the OECD ranking of countries by GDP/person along with countries like Gabon and Botswana. It takes pure genius to drag one of the world’s richest countries down to the level of impoverished African nations. So, having destroyed their own country’s economy, what do the buffoons running the country do? Change their policies? No way. Much easier to try to pin the blame for their stupidity on someone else. Thirty years ago, to distract public attention from their own corruption and incompetence, Argentina’s joke military leaders in their bright shiny uniforms with all their chunky medals launched their “glorious” invasion of the Falklands. That was, of course, yet another disaster and led to the military junta’s downfall. But plus ca change, plus ca reste le meme. Now, thirty years later, faced by a stagnant economy, rising unemployment and an infrastructure that’s falling apart after decades of almost no investment, Argentina’s pathetic leaders are desperately trying to deflect public attention on to a scapegoat. First up was Britain as Argentina’s lady president started a new war of words with the UK over the Falklands. Then came Spain as the good lady decided to nationalise a Spanish oil company’s assets in Argentina. In fact, it’s surprising Argentina’s lady president didn’t blame Britain or Spain or the evil Yankees or the Martians or somebody else for the recent train crash which killed dozens of her people.
Frau Kirchener’s recent attacks on Britain and Spain, have of course, helped shore up her declining popularity amongst the monkeys in the street. After all, it’s much easier to blame others for your misfortunes rather than accepting that they come from your own stupidity, incompetence, idleness and corruption. So we can expect more fireworks from Frau Kirchener over the next few months as she casts around, ever more desperately, for suitable scapegoats for her own and her people’s failures.
By David Craig, on April 18th, 2012 NATO’s big bosses are meeting in Brussels for two days of eating, drinking and whoring. Sorry, what I meant was two days of talks. They claim they’re going to discuss how to pay Afghan security forces after foreign troops leave. Currently, the figure of about a billion euros of our money a year seems to be what they’re planning to spend. There are just two problems with this. Firstly, if NATO really did hand over a billion euros a year of our money, most of this would be stolen by corrupt, drug-dealing Afghan politicians, bureaucrats and military leaders, leaving little to nothing for equipment and ordinary soldiers’ pay. Secondly, most people (apart from NATO’s brilliant leaders) know that whatever corrupt, incompetent puppet government we put in place in Afghanistan will be overthrown about 24 hours after foreign troops leave. So there’s no need to worry about funding Afghan security forces – there won’t be any. Most will defect to the other side (for whom many already secretly work) and Afghan military bosses will scarper to Dubai to spend the billions of our money they have already stolen.
So, great leaders of NATO, are you the only people who don’t realise that Afghanistan is a lost cause? Or do you realise it but pretend otherwise because you’re a bunch of liars and can’t admit your own failure after over ten years of a pointless unwinnable war? I think you’re both liars and fools. You lie to us about the “progress” you’re making in Afghanistan and are fools because you think we will believe your lies.
And as for all those British and US soldiers who will be killed or maimed between now and foreign troop withdrawal – sadly your sacrifice is totally pointless and you’re giving your lives just so your NATO bosses don’t lose face. What a waste. What a criminal waste.
