Why are we throwing 20 million young people on the scrap heap? To protect the jobs of the euro-elite?

There are probably about 20 million young people (aged 18-29) without jobs in the EU. In Greece 55% don’t have jobs. In Spain it’s 53%. In Italy – 35%. The EU – 23%. Britain – 21%. Meanwhile in the US it’s just 17% and in fast-developing Asia an incredibly low 9%.

This is a problem most of us don’t see in our daily lives. But it’s catastrophe whose consequences are incalculable. With depression/recession in Europe likely to continue for at least another five years, we will have around 20 million people with no chance of ever getting decent jobs and having reasonably satisfying lives. Because, if economic growth does return, the new jobs will go mostly to the next cohort coming out of education. leaving those currently unemployed bypassed and without any hope.

What are our leaders in Brussels doing about this? Not much. The key concern for eurocrats is fighting to increase their pay and pensions as the EU economy collapses around them. And what does the corrupt, wasteful, buffoon Barroso propose? More Europe! – more power to the unelected, overpaid, incompetent, self-serving EUSSR komissars, more stifling unnecessary rules from Brussels to make employing people in Europe even more expensive, more money to be squandered by eurocrats on grandiose but worthless self-aggrandising projects, more energy taxes which will destroy European jobs but ‘save the planet’ from the fantasy of global warming, more bureaucracy, more corruption, more waste.

We’re moving into a four-speed world. At the top are the Asian countries, forging ahead of Europe, creating their own free trade area – a common market without the corrupt, wasteful political baggage of Barroso, Van Rompuy and their Brussels bureaucracy. (Just one small example, even in countries like Thailand, every schoolchild will have a tablet computer). Next will be the US and South America.  Thanks to the shale gas revolution, the US will once again become competitive and will return to 2%-3% or more annual growth. Moreover, the US will turn away from a declining Europe as the US understands its future lies with Asia. Then there is Europe – struggling to create growth, suffocating under the weight of EU mismanagement and crushed by the unaffordable burden of welfare spending where everyone believes it is their human right to have two large flatscreen TVs paid for by the few people left in work. At the bottom, as usual, will be the hopeless basket cases of most of Africa and many Arab countries where stupidity, intolerance, venality, religious fanaticism, incompetence and greed will ensure human suffering on an unimaginable scale while those responsible become billionaires.

How much longer are we going to allow the corrupt, wasteful, self-serving euro-elite to wreck so many young people’s lives while filling their own pockets with our money?

Killing off pensioners to pay for immigrants – the Government’s great new way to save money

Every day in the winter months, at least 240 people die of cold-related illnesses in Britain – that’s about ten an hour or one every six minutes. Most of them are pensioners who can’t afford to heat their homes properly.

Official figures show the number of deaths linked to cold over the winter period is typically around 25,400 in England and Wales, plus 2,760 in Scotland.

Charities and critics of energy company claim the UK has the highest winter death rate in northern Europe, even worse than much colder countries such as Finland and Sweden.

But what a great way for the Government to save money. Every week the Government takes from these 28,000 people’s lives, the Government saves over £2.8m by avoiding paying them the state pension. For every year taken from these 28,000 people’s lives, the Government saves more than £145m.

So, congratulations should go to LibDem energy idiot Ed Davey for signing us up to a new international agreement that will push energy prices even higher and kill lots more useless, costly, smelly, doddery old people. Congratulations should also go the the impotent, toothless failed energy regulator Ofgem for allowing energy companies to fleece us with extortionate and unjustified high energy prices. Mr Davey and Ofgem are doing their bit to bring down the deficit by reducing the numbers of unproductive, unnecessary old people so we can pay for all the immigrants flooding into the country. What a super policy – “Freeze a granny to give more benefits to foreigners”.

Why are the people 33,000 feet below me all killing each other?

For 20 years I had to take at least two flights a week to get to work. I still love flying and, although I understand the physics behind flight, I still can’t quite get my mind round how a huge lump of metal full of coughing people, screaming children, plastic chicken and cardboard bread rolls can ever leave the ground.

But the other thing I find fascinating about flying is how we can be sitting watching a movie and worrying whether we can get the lazy, arrogant, foul-mouthed ladette BA stewardesses to bring us another G and T or glass of wine while we pass over countries 33,000 feet below us where people’s main occupation is thinking how they can kill each other. I wonder why the people on the ground don’t look up, see the plane above them, and think “duh, if we didn’t spend our time hating and murdering each other then we wouldn’t be living in a rotten, poverty-stricken, disease-ridden, stinking cesspit of a country and we could live reasonable lives. Then we too could be worrying about things like whether we can get another G and T from the BA stewardess instead of worrying about whether we’re going to be alive in a week’s time”. Because, although it’s not politically-correct to say this, almost all the poverty in the world is quite unnecessary. In most cases poverty is a result of stupidity, intolerance, corruption, incompetence, economic mismanagement and ignorance.

When I thought about writing this blog last week, I was going to single out countries in the Middle East, South America and Africa as the worst examples for unnecessarily imposing misery on their people when they could just as easily be quite prosperous. But now the pig-ignorant, intolerant Irish have started fighting each other yet again, it’s clear that crass stupidity and unnecessary impoverishment is not limited to Third World countries.

So, next time I’m in a plane and the lazy, arrogant, foul-mouthed ladette BA stewardess ignores my attempts to get another drink, I’ll still be wondering how a plane can actually fly and why we can pass over countries 33,000 feet below us where people’s main occupation is thinking how they can kill each other.

Britain’s eco-idiots will ruin us all – how the Chinese must be laughing

After  the Doha talks, the LibDem energy buffoon has signed Britain up to reducing our energy use while our competitors in China, India and elsewhere can pollute as much as they like. As our ever “greener” energy costs ever more and wrecks British business destroying British jobs, how the Chinese must be laughing at our economic suicide. I’ll leave it to some Telegraph readers (clearly more intelligent than our politicians) to express most people’s rage and disbelief at the stupidity of our leaders. But with their big salaries, unlimited expenses and massive pensions, our politicians couldn’t give a damn if ordinary people lose their jobs.

Here are a few of my favourite readers’ comments:

“They are killing British business and British pensioners.”

“Davey should pay it out of his own pocket, and see if those who support this folly have the strength of conviction to chip in.”

“Why does Britain always have to lead the way when it comes to crap and stupidity?”

‘He believes the uk should lead the way’ Boll*x mr Davey,Boll*x

“If just one person dies because of the increase in energy bills forced by this inexcusable nonsense, the likes of Ed Davey will be responsible for that death and should be made to answer for it.”

“When will Europe wake up and realize how much these people make off of this fake global warming stuff? It has been debunked and proven to have stopped warming 14 years ago.
It is a major racket and Gore has made over $100 million from it when he was one of the biggest carbon footprint abusers out there.”

“Well I hope these idiots Davey and Stern are going to pay for it out of their own pockets, because I sure as hell won’t!”

“When will these stupid cretins realise that Britain is already on the verge of bankruptcy thanks to the gross incompetence of Brown, Blair and nu labour and that it is total insanity to borrow even more to fund insane projects like this, while all the biggest polluters in the world fail to do so!”

“Britain will never, ever have any competitive industry as long as these fools of politicians continue to be obsessed with ‘green energy’, especially wind farms that are the most inefficient anyway, and thus force the highest energy costs on UK consumers. Davey must be sacked immediate and this stupidity voted down by Parliament before it’s too late!”

Why we need to banish the word “deficit”: How to “chote”

“Deficit” is a terrible word. For a start, it doesn’t really really mean much to many people. After all, it’s a word from economics rather than from real life. Plus there are a large number of Brits (presumably those stupid enough to watch shows like Simon ‘Slimey’ Cowell’s the FiX-Factor, TOWIE and I’m a Celebrity) who don’t understand the difference between “deficit” and “debt”. These good people, probably around half of the population, don’t understand that every day there is a deficit, our debt increases.

We should replace the word “deficit” with the word “overspending”. Every day the Government runs a deficit, it is spending more than it earns. This change of wording would convert the abstract concept of “deficit” to something much more concrete “overspending”. This might mean something to even the stupidest of Brits and even (one hopes) to Guardian readers and Labour supporters.

Words are important. Replacing the word “deficit” with the word “overspending” would hugely improve our incompetent, bungling Coalition’s ability to get its message across. But such an idea would never occur to the sycophantic, career-obsessed, unimaginative advisers (hello Claire, Robert and Neil) and supposed communication experts employed by Cameron, Osborne and Clegg.

Talking of words, I think we need a new word added to the English language. The word is a verb “to chote”. Choting is named after the boss of Osborne’s £2m a year useless quango – the wildly misnamed Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR). To chote is to produce completely imaginary forecasts both to sycophantically please your political masters and to keep your own well-paid, taxpayer-funded and unnecessary job. The buffoon Mervyn King was a great choter – for about 5 years he produced monthly inflation forecasts that didn’t have the slightest connection to reality, but meant that he kept his job and multimillion pound pension pot. As our national debt zooms up into the stratosphere, we can expect an awful lot more choting from the OBR, the Treasury and the BoE.

We are broke. We are bankrupt. Are we about to see the “end of Britain”?

This year, under their “austerity” plans, the useless Coalition will spend £120bn more then it takes in taxes. And next year and the year after and the year after. So the Government will have to keep borrowing and borrowing and borrowing just to prevent a complete economic collapse. But nobody, not even a country can afford to keep on increasing its debts forever. At some point lenders will realise debts can never be repaid and will push up interest rates or refuse to lend money altogther.

Then we face financial and social collapse – there will be no money left to bail out banks again, so many people will see their life savings disappear and will be left impoverished living off state benefits: there will be no money to pay public-sector workers, so rubbish will pile up in the streets and bodies will remain unburied: the Government will be forced to cut benefits and pensions by up to 40% (as in Greece) and there will be rioting and social breakdown: exchange controls will be introduced to prevent people fleeing abroad with their money: we will only be able to take £500 (or whatever limit) on holiday and will be banned from using credit cards abroad: and the Government will nationalise all our pension savings (as Hungary did recently) and use the £800bn of our money to try to pay down our debt, again impoverishing millions.

And there is nothing anybody can do to avoid this.

Please just look at one chart – our rising debt level (below) – and see if you can find a happy ending to this situation.

Is Thailand safe for foreign tourists? Absolutely yes – unless you’re a Russian gangster

One of the many attractions of holidaying in Thailand is the incredibly low (almost non-existent) level of crime against foreign tourists. In Thailand you really can relax, whereas in many holiday destinations (especially the hell-holes of South America, the Carribean and Africa) you can’t walk more than 200 metres from your hotel without being robbed at least once. Occasionally in Thailand a backpacker will claim to have been robbed. But often this is just an attempt to get their insurance company to pay for their world trip or else the thief is actually another Westerner who has “befriended” them with the intention of relieving them of their possessions. And some sex tourists used to get drugged and robbed (often by ladyboys). But as most hotels now check visitors’ ID cards, this has largely been stamped out.

But now there is a new phenomenon causing a little concern. As anyone who takes summer or winter holidays will know, most holiday resorts are now over-run by Russian tourists. Many of these are young couples and ordinary families with kids. But amongst the Russian tourists are also quite a few heavy-set, muscular men accompanied by slim, well-appointed trophy WAGs. If these man have necks at all, they are usually wider than their heads. Now, of course, some of this solid-looking men may be teachers, accountants, university professors and social workers. But some may make their living from old-fashioned occupations like protection, smuggling, extortion and acting as henchmen to help the next generation of Roman Abramoviches to become hugely and unaccountably wealthy.

The problem with these fine people is that they like to show that they have money. So they and their WAGs tend to be dripping with ostentatious bling. But this is the real thing – gold, diamonds etc – not the plastic and glass crap so favoured by British hairdressers and secretaries. Moreover, many of these men may not have a regular salary being paid into a bank – in fact the only time some may visit a bank is to rob it – and this means they and their WAGs tend to carry considerable amounts of cash.

This influx of cashed-up and blinged-up Russian gangsters has proved irresistable to a few enterprising young Thai men, usually riding motorbikes when they make their smash-and-grab robberies. So we had the wonderful spectacle last week of the Russian consul in Bangkok complaining to the Thai authorities about the rising level of crime against Russian criminals. There must be a satisfying irony in there somewhere.

Don’t believe a word the corrupt, wasteful, arrogant euroliars Barroso and Van Rompuy say

The sycophantically pro-EU, paedophile-protecting BBC are drooling with pleasure as they claim Britain is isolated in Europe because of our demands for a cut in the EU budget. But as usual, the truth is more complex. A few countries in the EU – Germany, Holland, Sweden, Denmark – are soiling themselves at the thought of Britain leaving. In the EU there is a group of countries calling themselves “Friends of Cohesion”- these are usually the most corrupt, spendthrift, wasteful countries which get much more from the EU than they contribute. The “Friends of Cohesion” naturally support a big rise in EU spending (more money for them to steal and waste) and unfortunately they hugely outnumber the few countries that want the budget controlled as they have to pick up the bill. If Britain leaves the EU, then the “Friends of Cohesion” will get even more power to leech almost unlimited amounts from the Northern European countries who pay for the whole mess.

Meanwhile as liars and fools Barroso and Van Rompuy claim they are controlling EU profligacy, the picture below tells the truth:

The lunatics at the Daily Torygraph still believe Cameron can win in 2015

Another day, another article by a Daily Torygraph hack, sorry I meant “respected political expert”, about what lying incompetent posh boy David Cameron must do to win the 2015 election.

https://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/benedictbrogan/100192603/making-hard-calls-on-major-issues-the-tory-strategy-for-re-election/

By the way, don’t bother reading it – the article is just the same garbage these people churn out day after day to get their £1 per word (or whatever it is the Torygraph pays).

Cameron is toast along with the liar and buffoon Osborne. But what do they care? They have their millions, they’ll probably both get overpaid jobs as “advisers” for investment banks and as a former PM, Cameron can claim over £100,000 a year taxfree of our money till the day he dies. So they’re all right, Jack.

Cameron has made so many mistakes that it’s impossible to list them here. But perhaps the three greatest are: 1. He didn’t implement spending cuts immediately on taking power, and instead allowed spending and debt to keep on increasing. 2. He didn’t have the courage to take on the useless, overpaid, overpensioned Brown bureaucrats who have wasted over £1trn of our money. 3. He preferred to put one of his chums as chancellor – an inexperienced, arrogant, self-satisfied, pig-ignorant, preening, intellectually-challenged runt – rather than choosing a figure with the gravitas, experience and general respect necessary to make people accept unpopular policies.

But with over 800 days to go before the 2015 election, we can expect hundreds more well-paid, totally pointless, vacuous articles from the laughable Torygraph on what Cameron must do to win in 2015.

I never realised so many Germans were Mandelsonians

Having worked with many Germans and occasionally in Germany, I had always assumed that Germans were vigorously heterosexual. I supposed that Germans went about their sex lives the same way they approached most things – sex was done on a regular basis, at the same time each week, and was accompanied by much thrusting and guttural grunting. But one of the many fatuous, non-scientific observations I have made while travelling around Thailand is that the largest group of homosexual men in Thailand appear to be Germans. Virtually everywhere you go, you will see German men, usually aged over 60, walking lovingly hand in hand with young Thai boys/men.

So, another illusion shattered – Germans are not all stiff-armed, saluting  automatons hell-bent on world domination. Many appear to be limp-wristed, shirtlifting Mandelsonians.
