I subscribe to a magazine called MoneyWeek. It purports to be Britain’s best-selling financial magazine and claims it will help readers make money.
But it also seems to be a kind of front for selling readers all kinds of investment newsletters and shares tip-sheets and suchlike.
Last year MoneyWeek put a video on the Internet called “The End of Britain” where MoneyWeek predicted imminent financial collapse with the value of property, shares and cash going to be decimated and warned that the only way to avoid this and protect yourself and your family was by buying a subscription to MoneyWeek.
Over the last few days, I’ve been getting emails with titles like “You need to get in on this” and “Please don’t share this with anyone” and “Are you going to miss out?” and “Offer ends at 11.59pm tomorrow” and “We can only offer you this deal till 11.59 tonight” and so on and so forth.

And a rather lengthy text trying to convince you to buy a subscription to an investment newsletter called The Lifetime Wealth Strategy: Your no nonsense guide to building long term wealth. It only costs £77.
With interest on savings in bank and building society accounts at virtually zero and with the new pension freedoms, there are an awful lot of people out there desperately looking for some way to preserve the value of their savings and even get a small return on them. This provides a massive number of easy targets for folks, both honest and slightly less so, flogging all kinds of financial advice and investment tips and get-rich-quick schemes.
But I always seem to miss out as I ask myself “if these people know how to make money from money, why are they telling me?” So I never buy these things.
However I thought some readers might find it interesting.

Many readers will be aware that some puffed-up, management gobbledigook-spouting, pea-brained top cop, Chief Constable Sara Thornton, head of the new National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) has announced that the police are far too busy doing important things and so in future won’t bother even turning up if your home has been burgled:
But what are these ‘important things’ that are keeping Plod and company so busy. Here’s Ms, sorry I meant Chief Constable, Sara Thornton’s explanation “We need to move from reacting to some of those traditional crimes to thinking about focusing on threat and harm and risk and really protecting the public”.
That’s helpful.
But perhaps I can be of assistance to Ms, sorry I meant Chief Constable, Thornton in shedding light on how our police spend a good deal of their time. Here’s an announcement on Twitter from the head of the Scottish police:

The problem is that under the Labour Governments of 1997-2010 the police were totally politicised and subject to abiding by political correctness so much so that they are just not fit for purpose, at least the purpose most of us who pay for them want.
The police are now part of the parasite public sector, existing to spread and entrench multiculturalism and to punish those who oppose it.
There are probably some decent types in the police, who want to do an honest job, and they have my sympathy for having such worthless bosses. But I have no doubt that the only way to get along in the police force is to be seen to support diversity and especially to be tough to the point of a police state in suppressing supposed racism, *sl*mophobia and homophobia – the unholy trinity of idiotic fetishes of our unaccountable masters. Anyone above the rank of Inspector is really just a political administrator.
Senior officers like Ms, sorry I meant Chief Constable, Thornton have never been police officers in the accepted sense. They have been fast-tracked from university, through Bramshill Police College to high rank without ever seeing an angry man much less having been involved in dealing with hooligans and criminals. They all compete with one another to see who can come up with the brightest new gimmick to further their personal ambitions. Political correctness has become their bible. Spouting fashionable management gobbledigook has become their only way of communicating.
Fortunately there are still good police officers who uphold and follow the common law duties of a constable – the protection of life and property, the prevention and detection of crime and the prosecution of offenders against the peace. But they are being driven to distraction by the likes of Ms, sorry I meant Chief Constable, Thornton, as her latest absurd pronouncement indicates. Criminals are the winners and the law abiding public are the losers.
So, if you’re ever burgled, just say you’re black or M*sl*m or LBGT and that the burglar sang racist or sexist songs whilst doing your place over … the police will come a-running then.
You might have heard or read in the media about a suicide attack on a police station in India a couple of days ago. I suspect that if you Google this, you will find that not a single report of this attack in any British mainstream media mentioned that Punjab Police personnel said they heard terrorists shout ‘Allah hu Akbar’ — Arabic for ‘God is great’ — as a gunfight between the attackers and security forces in Gurdaspur entered its 10th hour, indicating the assault was yet another suicide attack by members of the Religion of Peace.
The BBC certainly didn’t mention this and the Guradian even claimed the attackers were Sikh militants demanding an independent homeland even though there is little evidence of Sikhs ever mounting such suicide attacks.
I wonder why the fact that the attackers were the usual mad Muzzies was omitted by (I think) all the British mainstream media?
Voting – what choice did we have?
Although the Tories claim to have ‘won the 2015 election’, I still believe it was the horrific thought of the ghastly anti-Trident strident Sturgeon running the country by holding the pathetically weak Ed Miliband’s testicles in one hand and squeezing very tightly that forced reluctant voters to tick the Tory box.
At the time of the election, one kind reader generously produced a YouTube video I wrote featuring a spoof election broadcast by our great leader. Even though the poor excuse for an election is over, I believe the video is still relevant.
One of the ‘great’ policy ideas of Dhimmi Dave Qu’meron and Osama Bin Osborne is to devolve more power over decision-making and spending to Britain’s cities. The background to this is that the Tories see how London’s economy has boomed since it has had an elected mayor and its own assembly. So their reasoning is something along the lines of – if we want to revive the Midlands and create a ‘Northern powerhouse’, all we need to do is give other cities similar powers to those devolved to London.
So far so good. We’re lucky our leaders are so smart!
But there’s just one small fly in the ointment: You can only devolve powers and spending if you have a relatively homogeneous society. You can only devolve powers and spending if you’re doing this to people who share similar cultural and social beliefs. You cannot devolve powers and spending if you’re doing it to people who totally reject the whole basis on which British society functions.
Here are the ‘Top Eight’ – the eight British cities and towns which currently have the highest percentage of the population that are M*sl*m. I have also included estimates of the percentage of their populations that will be M*sl*m by 2030:

Let’s take Birmingham. Currently about 26.9% of the city’s population are M*sl*m and we already have the Trojan Horse take-over of many Birmingham schools by hardline, UK-hating *sl*mists. That was briefly halted when it was exposed by the press. But now the supposedly ‘banned’ hardline teachers have crawled back into their jobs and the *sl*mification of Birmingham’s schools marches gloriously on.
What’s going to happen when over 50% of Birmingham’s population are M*sl*m by 2030 or earlier? We’re going to have a much larger version of London’s Tower Hamlets – a total M*sl*m takeover, voting fraud, intimidation of people to vote for those approved by local religious leaders, widespread corruption – a mini-Bangladeshi hellhole in Britain. But Birmingham will be worse than Tower Hamlets. Why? Because the Bangladeshis may have brought us Third World poverty, idleness and corruption, but they tend not to be religious fanatics. The mainly Pakistani M*sl*ms that will take over Birmingham and other Midlands and Northern cities and towns will add religious fanaticism and intolerance to their Third World idleness and corruption.
Qu’meron’s policy of devolving power and spending in a country that is increasingly divided both ethnically and religiously is truly taking us down the road to disaster.
We’re constantly hearing the professional hand-wringers and the politically-correct at the BBC bleating on about the ‘housing shortage’ and the ‘housing crisis’.
But is there really a ‘housing crisis’?
The number of homes in England increased from 21,409,000 in 2003 to 23,309,000 in 2014 – a rise of 1,900,000 in 11 years – a quite respectable 172,727 new homes a year (first two bars on the chart)
The number of owner-occupied homes declined very slightly from 14,752,000 in 2003 to 14,709,000 by 2014 – a drop of 0.3% in 11 years. So, no crisis there. Meanwhile the number of buy-to-lets shot up from 2,549,000 in 2003 to 4,588,000 by 2014 – a massive 80% rise. So, no housing crisis there either.
The bleaters have often claimed that the Tories’ ‘right to buy’ scheme has decimated the number of social housing homes available. But the total number of social housing homes only fell from 4,108,000 in 2003 to 4,012,000 by 2014 – a drop of a tiny 2.3% in 11 years. Hardly very dramatic. There certainly has been a large fall in council housing from 2,457,000 in 2003 to 1,669,000 by 2014. However, there has been a large rise in housing association homes from 1,651,000 in 2003 to 2,343,000 by 2014. What seems to have happened is that a lot of housing has been transferred from councils to housing associations. So, no crisis there.
Moreover, the population of ethnic British has been steadily declining with average ethnic British female having just 1.6 children when the ‘population replacement rate’ is 2.1 children per female.
There we have it. An increasing number of homes and a declining population. So, how can we have a ‘housing crisis’?
Well, while screaming about the supposed ‘housing crisis’, the politically correct carefully avoid mentioning the two main causes of the ‘housing crisis’ – uncontrolled immigration and high birth rates amongst the followers of the glorious Religion of Peace.
If we had control of our borders, then we could have easily coped with around say 156,000 immigrants a year and there wouldn’t have been any ‘housing crisis’. But due to the EU deciding who comes to Britain and due to our rulers’ attempts to destroy any sense of British identity, our country has been flooded with around 400,000 immigrants a year since New Labour set out to ruin the country in 1997. Uncontrolled immigration is one cause of the ‘housing crisis’.
Then we have birth rates. While the average ethnic British woman has 1.6 children, for Pakistanis the figure is 4.7 children per female and for Bangladeshis it’s 3.9 children per female. Between 2003 and 2014, the M*sl*m population of Britain shot up by a frightening 76% from about 1.7 million to over 3 million – an increase of 118,000 per year. Part of this massive increase will have come from immigration and part from high birth rates.
When bleating about the ‘housing crisis’ the professional hand-wringers love to blame the Government (for not building sufficient social housing), developers (for hoarding land and not building enough ‘affordable homes’), Nimbies (for blocking ugly new housing schemes with rabbit hutch houses and flats), the planning system and anyone else they can think of. But they never ever mention the real causes of the ‘housing crisis’ – uncontrolled immigration and high birth rates amongst M*sl*ms.
But when have our self-appointed, self-righteous, self-serving opinion leaders ever told us the truth? They’re only interested in ramming their own ‘progressive’ ideas down our throats and labelling anyone who dares question their wisdom a ‘bigot’ and a ‘waaaccciiissssttttt’.
We all know that if the supply of a product increases while demand remains stable, then the price of that product will fall. We can see this most clearly in collapsing oil prices.
So, as it’s the weekend and time to relax, as part of our mission at snouts-in-the-trough.com to spread knowledge and enlightenment, here’s a slightly light-hearted video I found on YouTube explaining The Economics of Sex – how the price men have to pay for sex (in terms of dating and marriage) fell sharply as the supply increased following the introduction of the contraceptive pill:

Here are some basic facts.
1. There are about 23,309,000 homes in the UK
2. 14,709,000 are owner occupied; 4,588,000 are buy-to-lets and 4,012,000 are social housing
3. Of the 4,012,000 social housing homes, 2,343,000 are owned by housing associations and 1,669,000 are council-owned
All very boring. So, here are perhaps some interesting figures:
1. Probably around 200,000 (5%) of the 4,012,000 social housing homes are either illegally sublet or illegally passed on to members of a family rather than being handed back to councils or housing associations when the original tenant leaves. When these are illegally sublet, the person supposed to be living there is probably making between £5,000 to £10,000 a year taxfree by renting their social home to someone who shouldn’t be living there. If the housing associations and councils owning these 200,000 properties that are illegally rented or illegally occupied by a family member could get to grips with this problem, that would free up another 200,000 homes
2. We taxpayers are probably paying say £7,000 to £10,000 a year in rent for private accommodation for each of the people/families who could move into these social housing homes that are either illegally rented or illegally passed on to a family member. That’s about £1.4bn to £2bn a year – enough to pay for the building of 35,000 to 50,000 more social housing homes every single year
3. The people running our councils and housing associations receive absolutely massive salaries. Yet, as is so often the case with public-sector or quango bureaucrats, seem to be doing almost nothing about tackling the problem of social housing that is illegally sublet or illegally passed on to family members. Here are the CEO salaries at the ten largest housing associations:
Council bosses receive similar eye-watering amounts also for doing rather little.
Here’s an idea. What about reducing each of these salaries by say £70,000 a year. Given that these people would be paying 40% tax, they’d only lose £28,000 each. Then this £70,000 for each housing association or council could be used to hire two ‘tenancy auditors’ at £35,000 a year each. These tenancy auditors’ only job would be to regularly go into every property owned by the housing association or council and check who was really living there? That would soon identify where properties were being illegally sublet or dishonestly passed on to other family members.
Would this solve the shortage of social housing? No, because there are almost two million people on waiting lists. However, amongst these two million people there are about 50,000 families with dependent children living in unsuitable temporary accommodation. The sudden availability of another 200,000 social housing homes and the building of 35,000 to 50,000 more each year would certainly solve some of our housing shortage problems.
Then, of course, if we controlled our own borders, we wouldn’t have to let in around 46,000 people every month – most of them with low skills, low earnings potential and very eager to get themselves (and their often rapidly-growing families) on already bulging social housing waiting lists.
I rather suspect that our council and housing association bosses would contemptuously reject my idea of getting them to do the jobs they’re paid to do and make sure our social housing goes to those who need it rather than to those who abuse us taxpayers by playing the system confident that our incompetent, self-serving authorities will do little to stop them.
As ever more information leaks out about the huge scale of paedophilia amongst Britain’s ruling elites – politicians, top civil servants, military leaders and judges – the Government has set up the Goddard Inquiry.
However, the Goddard Inquiry will apparently not report until 2018 at the earliest. And cynics might suspect that Goddard will “do a Chilcot”. Sir John Chilcot’s inquiry into the 2003 Iraq War has now been dragging on for over six years and there is still no sign of any conclusion. Though all those involved in the Chilcot Inquiry have become very rich indeed thanks to almost unlimited access to taxpayers’ money and all those who could have been criticised by the Inquiry have partied, confident that the whole thing will end up in a pointless fudge although we proles will be told by our rulers and their obedient media that “no stone has been left unturned” and that “very important lessons have been learnt” and all the guilty will, as usual, avoid any punishment for their crimes.
If Judge Goddard does decide to “do a Chilcot”, that will give Britain’s VIPs (Very Important Paedophiles) – many of whom are still active in Parliament and the Lords – plenty of time to either “do a Janner” (claim to have dementia while still turning up at the Lords to speak, vote and claim generous expenses) or else die.
And then we proles will be told once again that “no stone has been left unturned” and that “very important lessons have been learnt” and everyone involved will avoid any punishment for their crimes.
In fact we already seem to be heading for the usual Whitehall whitewash. Apparently the Government in its wisdom has decided that evidence of abuse of children from the Northern Irish Kincora Boys’ Home by powerful establishment figures is ‘not relevant’ to the Goddard Inquiry – even though many boys from Kincora were shipped to London to be raped – and instead will be examined by a separate Northern Irish inquiry which has no legal powers to compel witnesses to testify. Nice one, eh?
So anyone hoping that the truth about Britain’s VIPs will be exposed shouldn’t hold their breath.

I know readers are probably too busy to watch the whole programme. But just look at the first 5 or 6 minutes – the interviews with the man who, as a boy, was sent from Kincora to London’s Dolphin Square to be abused by groups of MPs and their mates and the woman who was first forced into oral and penetrative sex with MPs and other VIPs when she was just six. That will start to give you a flavour of the extent of paedophilia amongst our ruling elites and also the extent of the ongoing Establishment cover-up.
We now know that Blair lied and lied and lied and lied to get us involved in the overthrow of the nasty dictator Saddam Hussein. And our propagandist media kept telling us that “nothing could be worse than Saddam”. We now know better.
Then came Syria. We were told that Bashar Al Assad was a thoroughly nasty dictator and therefore we should help overthrow him. After all, our rulers and their tame media informed us “nothing could be worse than Assad”. We now know better.
After that came Libya. We were told that Qaddafi was a thoroughly nasty dictator and therefore we should help overthrow him. After all, our rulers and their tame media informed us “nothing could be worse than Qaddafi”. We now know better.
Is there anyone else who can see a pattern here?
There’s a recent article in the highly respected Foreign Affairs magazine suggesting that we were lied to over Libya in just the same was as we were lied to over Iraq and Syria.
Here’s a brief extract:
“Moreover, by the time NATO intervened, Libya’s violence was on the verge of ending. Qaddafi’s well-armed forces had routed the ragtag rebels, who were retreating home. By mid-March 2011, government forces were poised to recapture the last rebel stronghold of Benghazi, thereby ending the one-month conflict at a total cost of just over 1,000 lives. Just then, however, Libyan expatriates in Switzerland affiliated with the rebels issued warnings of an impending “bloodbath” in Benghazi, which Western media duly reported but which in retrospect appear to have been propaganda.
In reality, on March 17, Qaddafi pledged to protect the civilians of Benghazi, as he had those of other recaptured cities, adding that his forces had “left the way open” for the rebels to retreat to Egypt. Simply put, the militants were about to lose the war, and so their overseas agents raised the specter of genocide to attract a NATO intervention—which worked like a charm. There is no evidence or reason to believe that Qaddafi had planned or intended to perpetrate a killing campaign.
If the article is accurate, it makes chilling reading in the way it exposes the lies and incompetence of our leaders and their supinely obedient, propagandist press.
The dictators in Iraq, Syria and Libya may not have been the kind of people you would invite home to meet your mother. But they did keep their ungovernable countries under control. By removing them we have created utter chaos and appalling suffering. And as this chaos spreads to Europe, we will be the people to suffer from our rulers’ mistakes and lies.
