I’d like readers today to choose who they believe – our own Dave “PR-man” Cameron or France’s Marine Le Pen.
Here’s Dave yesterday in the Syria debate explaining in 30 seconds why we must now call ISIL “Daesh” because, as any fule no, ISIL clearly has nothing to do with *sl*m which is a religion of peace:
And here’s a link to a speech Marine Le Pen made to the European Parliament a few days ago. (I recommend readers watch the whole 6-minutes clip. It’s in French, but with English subtitles. She is formidable or “formidable” as the French say).
In her speech, Le Pen names who she thinks our enemy is because she believes that, if you don’t honestly name your enemy, you cannot fight them.
She then explains why naming our real enemy faces us with some difficult choices about deciding who our real friends are (non-M*sl*m Russia? secular Bashar Al-Assad?) and who are our real enemies (double-dealing, ISIL-supporting Turkey? Al Qaeda- and ISIL-supporting Saudi Arabia?)
And finally she rejects the “imbecilic” EU policies on immigration
So, who do you trust when deciding who our real enemy is? Dave or Marine?
As Christmas – the time for generosity and giving – approaches, many of us are getting bombarded by ‘gimme gimme gimme’ ads on the TV and begging letters from Britain’s charities.

It’s incredible. We seem to have learnt nothing from Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan. Yet again the mainstream media is beating the war drums. This time the media are salivating over all the extra advertising they’ll get if they can run loads of stories of heroic British pilots blowing up Syrians or ISIL or anyone really.
I wonder what they’ll be saying when we see the first videos of British pilots (or special forces) being beheaded, crucified or burnt to death? Oh I know, the media will demand vengeance. Then Cameron will pretend to be following public opinion when he does what he has really wanted to do all along – get British boots on the ground and have a real war. PR-man Dave desperately wants to be the new Winston Churchill. God save us from our useless, short-sighted, vainglorious leaders!

Is Turkish strongman President Recep Erdogan trying to draw the United States in on his side in the war in Syria, and into a confrontation with Vladimir Putin’s Russia?
A little history is in order. Not until 1952 did Turkey join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, all but two of whose original 12 members were on the Atlantic or North Sea.
Yet bringing in Turkey was a ten-strike, putting NATO on the Dardanelles and Bosporus and on the southern coast of the Black Sea, right up to the border of Stalin’s Soviet Union.
But the world that made Turkey such a strategic asset has vanished. Armenia and Georgia are no longer Soviet republics but free nations. The Soviet Empire, Warsaw Pact, and Soviet Union no longer exist, and Balkan nations as well as the Baltic States are members of the EU and NATO.
Turkey is no longer the secular nation-state of Kemal Ataturk, but increasingly hearkens to the *sl*mic Awakening. In Syria’s civil war, her behavior has not been what one might expect of an ally.
The Turks left the door open for jihadists to join ISIS. They are accused by two Turkish journalists, now facing life in prison, of shipping arms to ISIS. The Turks are charged with permitting ISIS to move oil from the *sl*mic State into and across Turkey.
Russia, which joined the U.S. in bombing the tanker trucks that move the oil, charges Erdogan’s son with being involved in the black market trade with the caliphate.
Instead of battling ISIS, Erdogan is fighting Kurds in Turkey and Iraqi Kurdistan and is threatening to attack Syria’s Kurds if they cross to the west bank of the Euphrates.
Ankara is also becoming dictatorial and repressive.
Erdogan has dismal relations with Egypt and Israel and appears hell-bent on bringing down Bashar Assad in Syria. Yet, Assad’s army remains the sole force standing between ISIS and Damascus.
Erdogan’s Turkey has its own separate national agenda. While understandable, what is of concern is that Erdogan could escalate his clash with Assad’s regime into a clash with Putin’s Russia, which is backing the Syrian regime — and drag us into his war.
And the longer this war goes on, the greater the likelihood of something like this happening.
For the operative premise of NATO is that an attack against one is an attack against all. What do we do should Erdogan provoke a Russian attack on his aircraft, and then invoke Article V and call on all NATO nations to come to Turkey’s defense against Putin’s Russia in Assad’s Syria?
Turkey’s shoot-down of the Russian Sukhoi Su-24 makes this more than a hypothetical question.
While the Russians have indicated they are not going to make this a casus belli, Putin charges that the U.S. was given advance notice of the flight plan of the Russian plane.
Were we? Did we authorize, know about, or suspect Erdogan was planning to shoot that Russian plane down? This is no small matter. And Americans have a right to know.
Then there is the geostrategic question.
The world of 2015 is nothing like Truman’s world of 1952 or Reagan’s world of 1982. The adversary we confronted then, the Soviet Empire and Soviet Union, has not existed for a quarter century.
Why then does NATO, created to defend Western Europe against that adversary, still exist?
Why are we still committed to fight Russia not only to defend Germany, but Estonia and Erdogan’s Turkey, and if the neocons get their way, to be committed in perpetuity to fight Russia for Georgia, South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Moldova, Ukraine, Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk?
If the history of the 20th century teaches anything, it is that war guarantees all too often lead to war.
But in this war against “radical *sl*mic terrorism,” who is the real ally: Erdogan, who has been aiding and abetting *sl*mic jihadists in Syria, or Putin, who has been bombing them?
This is truly a week where the lunatics have taken over the asylum. Looking at what our rulers are up to, we’re spoilt for choice in picking which is the stupidest, most treacherous, most suicidal political decision of the week. There are truly some strong contenders:
1. Supporting Turkey against Russia
Under its crazy, power-mad president Erdogan, Turkey has abandoned its former secularism (division of church and state) and is rapidly turning into yet another *sl*mo-fascist, oppressive, backward, corrupt failed cesspit state. Turkey has been helping ISIL by supplying weapons and buying ISIL’s oil. Turkey has used the mess in Syria to bomb the Kurds, the only troops capable of containing ISIL. Turkey is our enemy. So, what is the West doing? Yup, we’re risking a war with civilised, non-M*sl*m Russia in order to support corrupt, *sl*mo-fascist Allahu-Akhbar-screaming lunatics in Turkey. What should we be doing? We should throw Turkey out of NATO, invite Russia to join and work with Russia to defeat our common enemy – *sl*m
2. Refugee deal with excremental Turkey
And here’s yet another treacherous stupidity concerning Turkey. We’re going to give Turkey’s utterly corrupt ruling elites around €3bn a year in return for some vague promises about reducing the flow of precisely the same migrants that the idiotic German witch, Angela Merkel, invited to come to Europe. Merkel screws up big time, we have to pay. How much of this money will ever reach the refugees it’s intended for? Judging by the levels of corruption in Turkey, it’s likely that around 80% to 90% will be siphoned off by Turkey’s rulers. I wonder what Mr Erdogan and his family and cronies will do with all our cash?
3. Barging into another Middle East quagmire
On this one Corbyn, amazingly, is right. Cameron has not made the case for British bombing in Syria. (If anything we should be bombing Rotherham, Luton, Birmingham and Tower Hamlets where our real enemies are). Moreover, Cameron’s claim of 70,000 ‘moderate’ Syrian anti-Assad rebels is as big and blatant a lie as Blair’s infamous 45-minute WMDs in Iraq. Anyway, why are we rushing to war to support France? France laughed when London was bombed. France sold Exocet missiles to Argentina during the Falklands War. Hollande could have conducted the hundreds of raids on *sl*mic extremists, which found over 230 weapons, before, rather than after, the Paris slaughter. But political correctness prevented France from doing anything. The 130 Paris dead were killed by as much political correctness as by mad Muzzies. As for our supposed ‘ally’ France, let the cowardly, treacherous French fight their own battles.
4. Climate change farce in Paris
And here we are in Paris again. About 200 ‘world leaders’ will meet to deal with the non-existent threat of Anthropogenic Global Warming. At the conference of the stupid and the corrupt, a group of venal Third World kleptocrats will demand (and probably get) hundreds of billions in supposed ‘compensation’ for the effects of Global Warming. What nobody will mention is that the very same venal scumbags already get $135bn a year in foreign aid – over 80% of which is looted and ends up in offshore tax havens as anyone who has viewed my short (4 minutes) YouTube video will know https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ds7XQJFBYTk
5. Welcoming the new “Supercultural Society”
But perhaps the “Treacherous Dickhead of the Week” award should go to Stefanie von Berg, a Green Party member of Hamburg’s local assembly who recently gave a speech celebrating that Germans would soon be a minority in their own country and that Germany would become what she called a “supercultural society“.
By any measure—military, economic, scientific— M*sl*m countries, compared to the West, are a ghastly, perverted joke. And we should be able to crush the madness of intolerant, backward *sl*m with ease. But what the M*sl*ms do have is this: A cringing, cowardly, supine population of treacherous white Western rulers who loathe their culture, traditions, history and, most of all, their own people and stupidly and irrationally try to placate the third-world hordes who want to over-run their countries and kill their people.
Here are 50 seconds of Ms von Berg in all her glory. Please admire her treacherous stupidity:
(Weekend blog) Some readers beat me to today’s story, but I’ll do it anyway. It concerns how this Christmas we are being totally stuffed by Turkey. There are four parts to the story:
1. Turkey’s admission to the EU (partially copied from breitbart.com)
Turkey’s minister of European Union affairs Volkan Bozkir revealed on Thursday that Brussels has agreed to open a new chapter in stalled membership talks with his country by mid-December, following pledges made by German Chancellor Angela Merkel and EU ministers in recent weeks.
“The decision to open the Chapter 17 by mid-December has been taken,” Volkan Bozkir said today, adding: “Inshallah (Allah willing), we will open Chapter 17 on December 14 or 15 in Brussels”.
Out of 35 “policy chapters” which all EU candidate countries must successfully negotiate prior to membership only 13 have been opened and only one has been successfully closed so far.
Bozkır added the EU and Turkey would start working together to open five to six more chapters in 2016. Turkey has agreed in principle to an EU refugee action plan, which is expected to be finalised on Sunday.
In return for its help, Turkey has demanded the EU provide three billion euros ($3.3 billion) a year in funding and visa-free travel for Turkish nationals as well as a resumption of negotiations on its long-stalled application to join the bloc.
So, that’s over 70 million more M*sl*ms who will have the right to travel and settle in any EU country of their choosing. Now that Merkel has realised how staggeringly stupid her invitation to Syrians and anyone pretending to be Syrian to come to Europe was, the blundering German witch is trying to bribe Turkey with our money into slowing the migrant flood by allowing Turkey’s tens of millions of Allahu-Akhbar-screaming maniacs to take over Europe.
As for the €3bn a year of our money that Merkel is handing over to Turkey – most of that will be stolen by Turkey’s utterly corrupt ruling elites.
2. Turkey’s double-dealing over ISIL
Being a member of NATO, Turkey has pretended to help in the fight against ISIL. In fact, Turkey has actually been helping ISIL and other *sl*mic fundamentalist groups in its attempts to overthrow the secular Assad and replace him with an *sl*mo-fascist dictatorship of the type Turkey’s slimebag President Erdogan is forcing on once secular (but now increasingly *sl*mo-fascist) Turkey.
Turkey has been buying oil from ISIL. Probably Erdogan’s family (his son) have been earning hundreds of millions from this supposedly ‘illegal’ trade. Turkey has been supplying weapons to the *sl*mic rebels and allowing them free passage over Turkey’s border into Syria. And Turkey has used the excuse of ‘fighting ISIL’ to bomb Kurds – the only group that has effectively taken on ISIL.
We are being totally stuffed by Turkey. Yet our rulers keep lying that Turkey is our ally and that we need to help Turkey against the supposedly nasty Putin. In fact, as I wrote 2 days ago, we need to throw undemocratic, *sl*mo-fascist Turkey out of NATO and start working with the Russians against the *sl*mo-fascists who are taking over Europe
3. Cameron’s WMD lie
With Iraq, Blair conned us into a disastrous, illegal war with his claims that Iraq had WMDs that could be launched in just 45 minutes. Cameron has concocted a similar lie to get Britain bombing ISIL in Syria. This week Cameron claimed in Parliament that our bombing would be effective because there were 70,000 supposedly “moderate” Syrian rebels ready to overthrow Assad. Total rubbish! There aren’t 70,000. There aren’t 7,000. There are probably not even 700. Most of Syria’s men of fighting age seem to be here in Europe causing total havoc and a massive crime wave wherever they go.
But without Cameron’s fictional 70,000 moderate rebels army (an army just as fictional as Blair’s Iraq WMDs) there would be no point bombing ISIL in Syria. So, like Blair, Cameron lies and lies and lies to get his war.
The mainstream media is savaging Corbyn for his reluctance to agree to the bombing. I think Corbyn is a buffoon. But on Syria Corbyn is right. Cameron has lied and has not made the case for British military action.
4. Why it has all gone so wrong?
The reason that our rulers are marching us towards disaster is that they refuse to recognise who our real enemy is. Our enemy is NOT supposed “sl*mic fundamentalism. Our enemy is *sl*m.
But if our rulers admitted our real enemy is *sl*m, there would be civil war in Europe. So instead, our rulers have invented a false enemy “radical *sl*m” (which, of course, has nothing to do with *sl*m which is a religion of peace). This has led to such stupendously stupid mistakes such as believing Turkey is our friend and Russia our enemy, whereas the opposite is true.
Meanwhile our real enemy – *sl*m – continues its conquest of Europe. A conquest that will accelerate when Turkey’s millions are given free passage to our once democratic, Christian countries.
Truly we are heading to the total destruction of Europe. But Britain could save itself from this catastrophe by getting out of the suicidal EU. In fact, just the entry of Turkey’s 70+ million Allahu-Akhbar-screaming maniacs into the EU should be sufficient reason for us to get out while we can.
You’ve probably all seen the figures. In the year 2013/14 a massive 574,000 people moved to Britain. That’s an incredible 11,038 a week or over 1,500 every single day. No wonder our NHS, schools and police are collapsing. And now we hear that in the year 2014/15 an even more horrific 636,000 – 12,200 a week, 1,750 a day – flooded over our apparently non-existent “borders”. That’s an 11% rise.
These figures are frightening. But can we believe them? Perhaps a better indication of the real scale of immigration can be seen by looking at how many foreign-born people applied for National Insurance numbers? In 2013/14 this was 668,000. A year later this had shot up to 863,000 – a rise of an astonishing 29%:
We know we have no control of the numbers that come from EU countries. We handed over that power to Brussels decades ago. But what’s even worse is that around 60% of the new arrivals come from outside the EU. That’s the immigration our useless Government should be able to control, but does nothing.
Our rulers claim that the immigration numbers show how successful the British economy is. But let’s question that for a moment. Around 43% of EU migrants will get some form of benefits. So they will take out much more than they pay in. Moreover, when you add their use of public services, it’s unlikely that more than 10% to 15% are actually making any economic contribution to our country.
As for the non-EU (mainly M*sl*m) immigrants. What percentage of them will work? About 30%, if we’re lucky. It’s unlikely to be higher. So, I would humbly suggest that once you take account of their benefits and use of public services for their massive families, less than 5% are making any contribution at all.
I know a few people in the public sector who have worked with non-EU immigrants and they describe the hell of backward, intolerant human garbage who are always demanding special treatment. But here, from Germany, is a policewoman’s elegant but despairing description of the kind of trash we are allowing to overwhelm us:
“For weeks, months and years I have noticed that M*sl*ms, mostly young men, do not have even a minimum level of respect for the police. When we are out patrolling the streets, we are verbally abused by young M*sl*ms. There is the body language, and insults like ‘sheisse cop’ when passing by. If we make a traffic stop, the aggression increases ever further, this is overwhelmingly the case with migrants.
“I wish these problems were recognized and clearly addressed. If necessary, laws need to be strengthened. It is also very important that the judiciary, that the judges issue effective rulings. It cannot be that offenders continue to fill the police files, hurt us physically, insult us, whatever, and there are no consequences. Many cases are closed or offenders are released on probation or whatever. Yes, what is happening in the courts today is a joke.
“The growing disrespect, the increasing violence against police… We are losing control of the streets.”
As for Britain – expect a massive increase in robberies, violence, rape and burglary. But whether the police will honestly record crimes committed by immigrants is another matter. Most likely, as in Germany and Sweden, crimes by immigrants will be conveniently left out of the official statistics so we don’t start to realise that Third-World immigration is destroying our country.
Another day when the stupidity of our rulers is totally beyond belief:
We’ll never know the truth about Turkey shooting down the Russian plane. The only thing we can be sure of is that both sides will lie through their teeth. So we have to weigh up the stories coming from each side and decide which is most likely to be somewhere near the truth.
The picture below suggests that Russian jets bombing anti-Assad rebels on the front line near the Turkish border did have a habit of taking a shortcut over a small piece of Turkish territory:
But the Russian jet was only over Turkey for around 17 seconds. So Turkey’s story that the Russian jet was warned 10 times to leave Turkish airspace before being attacked sounds ever so slightly implausible. Moreover, 17 seconds isn’t much time to scramble two Turkish fighters. So one should probably assume that the two Turkish planes were waiting for a Russian plane to enter that small piece of Turkish airspace so they could have an excuse for shooting it down.
So, what’s going on?
It seems as if there are three conflicting agendas for Syria.
1. Russia understands that to keep the peace in an *sl*mic hell-hole, you need a strong leader. So they’re backing Assad
2. The West, having learnt absolutely nothing from the disastrous overthrow of strong leaders in Iraq, Libya and Egypt, still blethers on about having a democratic government in Syria
3. Turkey is being turned from a modernising secular country into yet another backward, totalitarian, *sl*mic hell-hole by the piece of slime called President Erdogan. He wants Syria to be ruled by an *sl*mic dictatorship under Turkish influence
Then, of course, you have the issue that the only effective boots on the ground against ISIL are the Kurds and Turkey wants as many of them dead as possible to discourage Turkey’s 20 million Kurds thinking about independence
So, why was Turkey so hot and horny about wanting to give Russia a bloody nose? Because Russia was bombing Turkmen anti-Assad rebels, precisely the people Turkey supports to overthrow Assad.
The West’s reaction
With Turkey being a member of NATO, the West has to commit to taking Turkey’s side against Russia. So, we’re being dragged into supporting an increasingly oppressive, backward-looking, *sl*mic hell-hole against a much more civilised Russia.
What we should be doing is getting into bed with Russia against our common enemy – no not ISIL, but *sl*m. We should throw Turkey out of NATO. A backward *sl*mic hell-hole has no place in an organisation like NATO. And we should invite Russia to join. But instead our rulers not only want to keep Turkey in NATO, but they also want to bring Turkey’s 74 million Allahu-Akhbar-screaming M*sl*m maniacs into the EU.
It’s *sl*m that is our enemy. Russia should be our friend. Why can’t our useless rulers understand this?

Anyway, in the interests of freedom of expression (something that is becoming increasingly threatened by the politically correct) here’s the full article:

*sl*m has religious, legal, political, economic and military components. The religious component is a beard for all the other components.
*sl*mization occurs when there are sufficient M*sl*ms in a country to agitate for their so-called ‘religious rights.’
When politically correct and culturally diverse societies agree to ‘the reasonable’ M*sl*m demands for their ‘religious rights,’ they also get the other components under the table. Here’s how it works (percentages source CIA: The World Fact Book 2007).
As long as the M*sl*m population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness:

Canada — M*sl*m 1.9%
China — M*sl*m 1%-2%
Italy — M*sl*m 1.5%
Norway — M*sl*m 1.8%
At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs:
From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population.
They will push for the introduction of halal (clean by *sl*mic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for M*sl*ms. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves — along with threats for failure to comply. (United States).

Philippines — M*sl*m 5%
Sweden — M*sl*m 5%
Switzerland — M*sl*m 4.3%

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the *sl*mic Law. The ultimate goal of *sl*m is not to convert the world but to establish Sharia Law over the entire world.
When M*sl*ms reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions (Paris –car-burnings). Any non-M*sl*m action that offends *sl*m will result in uprisings and threats (Amsterdam – M*h*mmed cartoons).

After reaching 20% expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning:

It is good to remember that in many, many countries, such as France, the M*sl*m populations are centered around ghettos based on their ethnicity. M*sl*ms do not integrate into the community at large. Therefore, they exercise more power than their national average would indicate.
When London was attacked by our M*sl*m friends on 7/7, the French just shrugged disinterestedly and breathed a sigh of relief that it didn’t happen to them. Moreover, when Britain went to war with Argentina to retake the Falklands, the Frogs were eagerly flogging the Argies the Exocet missiles which killed so many British troops and almost led to us losing the war.
Yet when France gets attacked by our *sl*mic brothers, suddenly Cameron is beating his chest Rambo-style, comparing himself to Churchill, rushing over to Paris to meet our supposed ‘ally’ and planning to send British troops into yet another pointless Middle East quagmire.
I guess the main reason Cameron is licking Hollande’s arse is that he hopes the French will show some gratitude and pretend to have given some ground in Cameron’s sham ‘negotiations’ over Britain’s membership of the EU. The rest of us know the French will just p*ss all over us, as usual.
So the whole bombing thing is a waste of time, money and British lives.
Moreover, there are other reasons why the British bombing of ISIL in Syria will just be a vacuous, pointless gesture by PR-man Cameron:
1. Everybody’s already doing it
With the USA (very half-heartedly), Russia (more seriously) and France (chaotically as usual) all bombing away with little visible effect, it’s difficult to imagine what contribution a few ageing British jets will make. I suppose we can spend millions pulverising a few Toyota pick-up trucks driven by bearded maniacs. But we’re hardly going to make a difference. What’s needed is a massive force of ground troops backed up by attack helicopters and Warthogs. But apart from a few Kurds (inconveniently being bombed by our other ‘ally’ Turkey) there aren’t any effective boots on the ground
2. Reinforce M*sl*m ‘victimhood’
All British intervention will achieve (apart from wasting tons of borrowed money) will be to reinforce the message spread by *sl*mic clerics that the West is embarking on a new crusade with the intention of destroying *sl*m. So, expect lots more young, disaffected, petty-criminal, inbred M*sl*ms to use British military action as an excuse to become enraged and to kill innocent Brits in retaliation
3. It’s a Sunni/Shiite civil war
Supposed ‘experts’ blame the power vacuum left by the Iraq and Syrian wars for the rise of ISIL. But what they don’t mention is that ISIL is primarily a Sunni uprising against what they see as Shiite oppression of Sunnis in the two countries. The Shiites are fundamentalists and crazy. But the Sunnis are apparently even more fundamentalist and even more crazy.
There are about 1.6 billion M*sl*ms in the world. Of these around 87% (1.39 billion) are Sunnis and 13% (208 million) are Shiites. By bombing Sunni ISIL we’re putting ourselves on the side of the 208 million Shiites against the 1.39 billion Sunnis. I wonder if one of Cameron’s advisers has taken the time to suggest to him that this may not be such a great idea?
4. The problem isn’t ISIL, it’s *sl*m
What none of our rulers dare admit is that, while being at war with itself, *sl*m is also engaged in taking over the world, especially rich and apathetic Europe:
Over a quarter of ‘European’ M*sl*ms believe that anyone mocking their Prophet should be killed. Over half of ‘European’ M*sl*ms want to introduce Sharia Law. The vast majority of ‘European’ M*sl*ms believe that M*sl*m majorities will eventually take over in Europe. David ‘Winston’ Cameron may succeed in destroying some Toyota pick-up trucks. He may even help reduce the territory controlled by ISIL. But that still leaves us with the not so small problem of being swamped by people who loathe us, our freedoms, our culture and our way of life.
I have (had?) huge respect for Andy Murray. OK, he’s got the charisma of a lump of seaweed. But he’s Scottish, so perhaps that’s to be expected. However, he has managed to become (briefly) the tennis world’s Number 2 and he and his family achieved his success through extraordinary hard work and determination and by completely bypassing the incompetent over-paid, over-pensioned bureaucrats running and ruining British tennis.
But Murray’s performance at the ATP championships in London last week was pathetic. He played quite well in his opening match when he beat David Ferrer. But in his next match against Nadal, he spent the whole time complaining and cursing and swearing instead of trying to play tennis. And it’s my understanding he threw similar childish tantrums while getting thrashed by Wawrinka.
If Mr Murray wants to behave like a spoilt 10-year-old, he should do that in the privacy of his own home. But when tens of thousands of fans have paid between £100 and £200 to see him play, he has a responsibility to make an effort. If Murray had an ounce of decency in his body, he would refund the money his fans paid to watch the Nadal and Wawrinka matches. How about it Andy?

It’s odd that none of the other top players behave like spoilt brats. Perhaps Murray needs a course in anger management before the next time he expects fans to pay a lot of money to watch him play? Or perhaps he should take a few years off and only come back when he learns to control his temper?
As for the British Lawn Tennis Association ((LTA) – for seven years up to his departure at the end of 2013, The LTA was run by a certain Roger Draper whose final salary package was around £640,000 – about 4 times that of the Prime Minister. Draper received a basic wage of £394,000, a bonus of £201,000 and a pension contribution of £45,000. Under Draper’s extremely lucrative (for him) time in charge, if I have my facts correct the LTA didn’t produce a single player to consistently achieve a world ranking of above 100 (or even 200?). Yet countries with a tenth of the UK’s population and a fraction of the LTA’s massive budget can produce champion after champion.
Moreover, in the four years up to Murray’s Wimbledon victory the number of people participating in tennis declined. In fact the situation was so bad that in 2012 Sport England described the LTA’s plan to improve numbers playing the game as ‘simply not strong enough’ and threatened to cut the LTA’s funding by £10.3m a year (of our money) if it failed to increase participation.
Following Murray’s success, which was achieved without the help of the LTA, participation in tennis did increase. Hence, I suppose the £201,000 bonus for the lucky Mr Draper.
Many outsiders have wondered where the LTA’s annual £15.3m staffing costs and £17m spent on participation actually goes. I think they’ll find that executive salaries for the LTA’s many bosses and Five-Star, First-Class junkets to the world’s major tournaments for the bosses and their wives, mistresses and cronies eat up a considerable chunk of the LTA’s many millions leaving precious little for training the next generation of ‘champions’.
The LTA was criticised by Baroness Billingham, the chair of Parlaiment’s All-Party Tennis Group in December 2012. She said: “The LTA is one of the wealthiest sporting organisations in the country and it’s my honest and genuine opinion that they are useless.” Draper’s £640,000 salary package was also described by Billingham as “unthinkable”.
Like so many other organisations in today’s Bureaucrats’ Britain – the NHS, the military, the police, councils, many charities – the LTA has become a bloated sclerotic bureaucracy that seems to exist only to support the privileged lifestyles of its bosses.
In January 2014, Canadian Michael Downey took over as chief executive of the LTA. Downey was Tennis Canada’s president for nine years. Downey is paid a salary of £300,000 with a chance to earn up to 30% more in bonuses if he meets performance targets.
But will anything ever change at the preposterously poorly-performing, junketing bureaucrats’ paradise that is the LTA? Or will it just be more snouts in the trough?
