Hold on to your money, Mr. Ten Percent is in town

Today David Cameron is meeting Pakistan’s president, affectionately known to his people as Mr. Ten Percent for his alleged habit of siphoning off money from major contracts into his own bank account. No doubt Mr. Cameron will give him many millions of our money to help people affected by the Pakistan floods.

No doubt, most of the money we give will end up in the pockets of senior Pakistani politicians and bureaucrats and will go nowhere near the people who actually need it. Same as it ever was.
