The ‘gruesome twosome’ play an absolute blinder?

I’m afraid I recoiled in embarrassment for our once great country as our little pipsqueak of a prime minister, Prince Andy of Makkerfield, met the mighty Trump and tried to portray himself as a great international statesman. So, I’ll write about something rather less serious today.

In his novel – Anna Karenina – the great Russian writer Leo Tolstoy wrote:

That brings us to our wonderful royal family. There has been much speculation about the reasons why the ‘gruesome twosome’ – Harry and Meghan – suddenly quit wonderful sunny California and returned to dismal, bankrupt Britain. This ranges from suggestions that Harry might lose his US visa due to having allegedly lied on his visa application about having used drugs to people saying that the ‘twosome’ had outstayed their welcome in America as the US public and media had got fed up with their constant money-grabbing schemes and self-centered whinging.

But it seems that the ‘gruesome twosome’ may have played a blinder. After all, if you read such reliable media as the Daily Mail and the Daily Express, almost all ‘royal’ stories concern what the non-royal ‘gruesome twosome’ have been up to and there’s hardly a mention of anything William and Kate have done. The ‘twosome’ seem to have sucked all the media attention and publicity away from the real royals, It’s almost as if Harry and Megham are the real triumphant returning royals:

I rather suspect that our future king – William – may soon have to go to the dentist as he may be grinding his teeth in fury at how he and his lovely dutiful wife have been so thoroughly upstaged by the return of the prodigal, attention-hogging duo.
