Disabled? Britain leads the world

Tuesday-Wednesday blog

Here’s a simple chart to cheer up your day. It’s the rate of disabled people for the main European countries in 2024:

As you’ll see, with 21.7% of Britain’s population apparently disabled, we beat all the other countries featured.

But according to the House of Commons library, Britain’s rate of disabled is actually 25% – that’s one in four people claiming to be disabled:

And what’s driving the increasing numbers of supposedly ‘disabled’ people? Well, it’s ‘mental health’ innit:

After all, that’s the most difficult for any assessor to disprove.

Hey. let’s dive a little deeper into the increasing rates of ‘mental health’ disabilities:

Yup, you might have guessed – it’s a massive rise in that mysterious condition ADHD. ADHD may not even exist. But it still apparently affects rapidly-increasing numbers of people up from just over 100,000 to around 230,000 in less than ten years. There’s some film where there’s a line like “if you build it, people will come”. A cynic (not someone like me, obvs!) might suggest that we could rephrase that into, “if you invent a disease, hundreds of thousands will claim they have it”.

Of course, there are some genuinely disabled people who need support. But for the bleating liberals and Labour lefties and our useless mainstream media and disability charities to claim that one in four Brits is actually disabled and to scream and howl every time someone suggests that the number of people getting disability benefits should be reduced – they’re having a laugh at our expense.
