Trump’s “invasion of Greenland”

In a blog last week I tried to explain that the mainstream media pamic about Trump supposedly being about to invade Greenlad was complete twaddle. I wrote:

This is classic Trump ‘Art of the Deal‘. You decide what you want. You then make a completely unrealistic demand which is well in excess of what you really want – “I’m gonna invade Greenland”. Your opponent has a panicked reaction to that outlandish demand rather than having the intelligence to work out what you really want. Then you reach the compromise you always wanted.

Trump can see the strategic and economic importance of Greenland. He probably wants security guarantees keeping Russia and Chinese influence out of Greenland. And when all the heat and noise about the supposed “invasion” of Greenland dies down, Trump will get what he wanted all along.

My dog could have worked this out. But apparently this is well beyond the intellectual capabilities of our Trump-hating rulers and mainstream media.

Anyway, we now see the results of Trump’s supposed “threat”. NATO has agreed to look at a role in sending troops to Greenland to block Russian and Chinese influence on the island. And this is probably what Trump wanted all along.

Will Cuba become a US state?

Here’s an outlandish prediction: within the lifetime of our children, Cuba will become a US state. At the moment Trump has Cuba by the short and curlies. Following the capture of Maduro and his missus, Trump can cut off oil supplies to the country whenever he wants. That would collapse the Cuban economy and bring down the Cuban Communist government. Nobody knows how Trump will use this new power. But I can see a situation whereby the US offers a deal to ordinary Cubans: bring down your government and you can join the US and get freedom and billions in development aid.

Peace in the Middle East?

Of course, the biggest prize for possibly one of the best US presidents ever would be bringing peace to the Middle East. Not because of some prize handed out by a few dopey Norwegians, but because this would change the world for ever.

If Trump plays his cards right, he could help bring down the Mad Mullahs’ terrorist Iranian Islamic regime and replace the theocracy with a more Westernised democracy, The benefits would be incredible:

• remove all sanctions from Persia and allow Persians’ money to be used for the Persian population
• deprive Hamas and Hezbollah and all the other bearded crazies of funding, support and weapons
• allow Persia and Israel to live in peace
• flood the world oil market bringing down prices and thus bankrupting Russia
• depriving Russia of almost its only ally leaving it with just North Korea and a lukewarm China

But the Israel-loathing Islamophiliacs at the Al-BBC and much of the UK mainstream media are horrified by the scenario of Trump achieving such a triumph and Israel’s worst enemy being defeated. For the Al-BBC and their progressive, lefty, West-hating dinner party friends, the destruction of Israel would bring nothing but joy and jubilation.

And finally I’ll end with a quote I made up a couple of days ago: “As the Iranian Islamo-fascist regime collapses, the most puzzling development in politics during the last decade is the apparent determination of Western European leaders to re-create the Islamo-fascist Iranian Caliphate in Western Europe”. (David Craig)
