Maybe there really is a climate crisis?

It’s five years since I published my book THERE IS NO CLIMATE CRISIS in which I tried to rubbish the claims that CO2 emissions were causing ‘Global Boiling’. Yet five years on, England, France, Italy, Spain and Greece seem to be experiencing ‘Global Boiling’. Ooops. Did I get it all wrong?

I haven’t fully understood the weather phenomenon which has caused unusually hot and dry weather across parts of England and Europe. But I’ll try to make three points:

Point 1 – The coldest winter in almost 40 years

I was in Thailand during part of the 2025/26 winter. At the time it was reported in the local press that Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar were experiencing “the coldest winter in almost 40 years”. This was an area of around 1,604,000 km2 with a population of about 151 million. Just as a quick comparison, the current Western Europe heatwave seems to be affecting around 1,712,000 km2 with a population of about 246 million.

Yet while the four Asian countries were experiencing their “coldest winter for almost 40 years”, I don’t remember the BBC’s Justin Lowrat and other mainstream media reporters of his ilk howling and screaming about the Earth moving into a new Ice Age. Yet we now have the opposite weather conditions affecting parts of Europe and suddenly we must all panic about the coming devastation of Global Boiling.

Point 3 – Mr Machiavelli warned us

Niccolò Machiavelli, in THE PRINCE, instructs the ruler who would keep power that it is far safer to be feared than to be loved, and that a prince must be a great feigner and dissembler, since men are so credulous and so governed by the need of the moment, that one who practises to deceive will always find another willing to be deceived.

We sem to stumble from supposed crisis to supposed crisis. I can’t remembr them all. But we had AIDS when we were all frightened into ‘safe sex’, then the financial crisis when we were told we all had to be impoverished to supposedly ‘save the financial system’. Then there was Ebola which turned out to be a bit of a damp squib as it never really left Africa’s most corrupt, violent, backwards hell-holes. After Ebola came the US-funded, Chinese lab-leaked Covid. Our rulers knew from the case of the Diamond Princess cruise ship outbreak that the mortality rate for Covid was probably around 0.1% to 0.2% at most. Yet our rulers used hugely exaggerated figures to justify shutting down our economies, imprisoning us in our homes and coercing us to accept ‘safe and effective’ vaccines which were neither safe nor effective and which only should have been given to a tiny section of the population.

And. of course, behind all this we’ve had the supposed ‘climate crisis’ which has enabled our rulers to increasingly restrict our life choices and lives while they fly all over the world staying in the most luxurious hotels in the most luxurious places eating the most luxurious foods in the most luxurious restaurants all at our expense as they meet in their thousands every few years to discuss their ‘climate crisis’ and what new restrictions they can put on us.

The best book describing how we are being fooled into submission to this latest fear-mongering is probably journalist Ross Clark’s ‘THE DENIAL’
