Are our politicians leading us to disaster?

I don’t watch much TV nowadays. But I have been watching some PBS America programmes. Some of their historical documentaries are complete rubbish, especially those using seemingly endless ‘historical re-enactments’. But some are really quite good, especially those using real historical footage. One which has impressed me recently was titled “The Impossible Peace”. It traces the events of the twenty years between the end of the First World War and the start of the Second World War showing the inevitability of the Second World War due to the blundering, incompetence, greed, thirst for power and ambitions of the world’s leading politicians.

And that brings us to today’s Britain. Whether Britain will end (to borrow from T.S. Elliott) with a bang – civil war – or a whimper – a gradual decline into bankruptcy and irrelevance is not clear. But what are clear are the errors our leaders are currently making which will lead us to the bang or whimper.

The main ones seem to be:

Population replacement: Our rulers seem to believe that anyone in the world has the right to come and live in Britain. On the Left this seems to be linked to an obsession that everything the British Empire did was evil and therefore we should hand over our country to the people we supposedly oppressed. Some estimated suggest that White British will be in a minority within 20 to 30 years. White British are already a minority in several cities and towns. In London just 36.8% are White British. In Birmingham only 42.9%. In Leicester 40.9%. In Slough 34.5%. In Luton 44.6%.

Two-tier government: The White British population can clearly see that they are being discriminated against while supposed minorities seem to get prioritised. For example, an estimated 382,000 British are homeless while illegal Third-world migrants get free 4-star hotels, free clothes, free meals, free money, free new phones. And while many White British struggle to see a doctor or get a dental appointment, illegal migrants get immediate medical and dental care plus a free taxi to take them to their medical or dental appointment. And, of course, we all know about two-tier policing and our two-tier ‘justice’ system which leads to long prison sentences for any White British using hurty words on social media while pro-Palestinian and BLM thugs can scream hatred and riot without any fear of any consequences.

Decriminalisation of crimes committed by minorities: Crimes like shoplifting and gang rape seem to have been decriminalised, especially if committed by people from ethnic minorities. For example, tens of thousands of often underage White girls seem to have been gang-raped by members of a certain community and only about 70 men have ever been prosecuted. Either those 70 or so men must have been very busy raping every hour of every day or else our police, politicians and prosecutors have been desperately trying to look the other way as they didn’t want to ‘create division’ between communities. Perhaps the mass rape of White girls ‘didn’t cross Mr Starmer’s desk’ when he was Director of Public Prosecutions? And, of course, we’re seen Labour fighting tooth and nail to prevent any national inquiry into the mainly Religion of Peace rape gangs.

Politicisation and militarisation of the police: Our police no longer seem interested in fighting crime. They now see their role as focused mainly on oppressing and subjugating an increasingly angry White British population which sees its country being taken away from them and feels they are becoming second- or third-class citizens in their own country.

Crushing free speech: There are far too many examples of this to list here. Father Ted co-creator Graham Linehan was been arrested by armed police at Heathrow Airport on suspicion of inciting violence in relation to his posts on X about men pretending to be women. A three-year prison sentence given to a woman for a rapidly deleted hurty tweet after the Southport slaughter by the ‘Welsh choirboy’. Ordinary people being dragged out of bed in the early morning by 5 or 6 police for something they have written on social media.

Economically-suicidal Net Zero: It seems that almost everyone in the country, except for our politicians, can see that Britain’s ‘legally-binding’ Net Zero policies are giving us the highest energy prices in the developed world, bankrupting our businesses and throwing hundreds of thousands out of work. Everybody, except our politicians, can see that no business can survive and compete when crippled by energy prices which are 3 to 4 times those in the US and at least 5 to 6 times higher than those in other countries which are taking our jobs.

A benefits system with a country attached: About 1,000 people a day are registering as being supposedly long-term sick and unable to work. approximately 300,000 working-age adults fall out of work due to long-term sickness each year. About 2,500,000 people are registered as being too ill to even look for work. You’ve all seen the Pat McFadden quote that every meeting he had with members of the Parliamentary Labour Party concerned the question: “Who can we tax in order to pay benefits to others?” To anyone outside the Labour, LibDems and Greens, it’s clear this situation cannot continue. Bankruptcy is the only possible conclusion.

Of course, there are many more issues than these leading us to our own destruction. But just these glaringly obvious mistakes our politicians are making will clearly lead to disaster. Our country is no longer a country. It’s just a geographical location where many different people live uneasily beside each other with tension very close to the surface. As we get poorer and the government needs to oppress us ever more to keep public fury under control, disaster becomes ever more inevitable. But what we can’t know is whether this disaster will be a bang – civil war – or a whimper – gradual decline into bankruptcy and irrelevance.

It will be interesting to see how it all pans out. And one day maybe PBS America will do a documentary on how Britain’s politicians destroyed their country?
