Are the NHS’s overpaid, over-pensioned managers lying to us?

Useless BBC reporters are forever coming with scare stories about how the NHS has been financially squeezed by the cruel Coalition Government. As usual with the politically-correct BBC, these stories are rubbish. The NHS’s problem is that it has too many overpaid, over-pensioned and incompetent managers. In the last decade, the NHS has reduced the number of hospital beds while almost doubling the number of managers. We’ve gone from over 8 beds per manager to a laughable 4 beds per manager. My hopeless local hospital, Bournemouth, has a pile of managers with six-figure salaries and million pound pension pots. So, don’t believe NHS managers when they say they have financial problems, they are the financial problem. Here’s the proof:

Party time in Syria: Olympic farce: Don’t get fooled by new ‘HSBC’ M&S bank

It looks like the party in Syria is really getting going. But please, Messrs Hague and Cameron, this is a party to which we have not been invited. By all means sell weapons to the Syrian rebels to preserve British jobs, but for God’s sake keep British troops out of this mess. We have not been invited to this war. It’s not our problem.

Multimillionaire Olympian Mr Coe is stuggling to keep his get rich scheme on the rails. First we have the G4S shambles; then he withdraws 500,000 tickets from sale and closes off parts of the stadiums to make it look as if they’re full. The whole thing will be a farce and a washout that should have cost us £2.4bn but will cost about £9bn. No doubt Mr Coe and the other olympocrats will also get paid massive bonuses for ripping off British taxpayers. Everybody aboard the Olympics gravy train.

Lots of publicity for M&S as they launch their own bank in some of their stores. M&S explain that customers who are angry with traditional banks can move their accounts to M&S. But don’t get fooled by the hype. The people behind the supposedly ‘new’ M&S bank are the widely loathed, recidivist mis-selling, money laundering, rate-fixing scumbags at HSBC. Having realised that their own brand has become toxic, HSBC have got into bed with one of Britain’s most trusted brands, M&S, in the hope that customers will be so stupid that they’ll not notice how the reviled HSBC are hiding behind the M&S brand. So don’t get fooled by HSBC’s latest scam. Don’t bank with HSBC/M&S.

Does this graph suggest Bob Diamond and Paul Tucker lied? I don’t know

Here’s a graph which apparently shows the LIBOR rate reported by Barclays before and after Bob Diamond and Paul Tucker talked on the phone. If this chart is genuine, it seems to suggest that the rate reported by Barclays fell sharply after the phone conversation. Yet both Diamond and Tucker denied they agreed that Barclays should drop its reported rate. I am confused as I know both Diamond and Tucker are honourable men. Perhaps it’s just a coincidence?

Why your taxes are about to go up by at least 30%

Unlike me, you probably have a life and so don’t spend your time reading through 100-200 page government reports. But sometimes, amidst all the bureacratic blether produced by our over-paid, over-pensioned civil servants, there is the occasional gem. One I recently tripped over was a table of figures showing our Government’s projected tax revenue for the next few years. Our great leaders expect to take around 30% more in tax by 2016-7 than they do today. It’s probably quite understandable that the Coalition doesn’t talk too much about this figure preferring to hide it away where nobody can be bothered to find it.

Originally when the Government produced this 30% figure, it was hoping (praying?) that economic growth would drive tax revenues up. But this isn’t happening now and isn’t likely to happen for a few years. Yet our national debt is already £1trn. Even with the projected 30% increase in taxes, debt will shoot up to £1.3trn by 2016. If the 30% tax increase doesn’t happen, we will get into a ‘death spiral’ where increasing debt leads to increasing interest payments leads to more debt and so on.

The Government is between a rock and a hard place. It has to have 30% more in taxes; economic growth will not give this increase; so the Government will have to massively raise the taxes we pay. But when it does raise taxes, this will take money from our pockets and stifle economic growth reducing the tax take and pushing the country into another death spiral – more taxes leads to lower growth leads to lower tax revenues leads to the need to increase tax levels and so on.

There are solutions to this problem and they are not complicated. But they would require a great Chancellor and a great PM – all we have are two self-serving, arrogant, incompetent fools. So, prepare for Britain to go into a death spiral.

Giving more money to the banks? Useless, worthless, arrogant Osborne hasn’t a clue

A year or so ago, our pointless, incompetent excuse for a Chancellor launched Project Merlin. This was an agreement with the main banks that they would help economic growth by boosting bank lending to business. What happened? The banks took piles of cheap money from us and used it to make massive profits speculating on things like oil, grain and other commodities. With so many banks doing the same thing, this speculation pushed up the price of fuel and basic foodstuffs, thus increasing inflation. Moreover, the rising cost of food has pushed many people in the Third World into starvation in what one banker apparently laughingly called ‘financial mass murder’. As for lending to businesses, our friends at Barclays, HSBC and the rest weren’t going to waste their time with risky loans to businesses when the economy was collapsing due to the recession caused by the banks, especially when commodity speculation was such a one-way bet to huge profits.

So, with the recession seemingly endless, what’s the self-serving turd Osborne’s latest idea to stimulate growth? You guessed it, give another £80bn of our money virtually interest-free to his banking friends. It’s beyond belief. Totally beyond belief. Are the banks going to use the money to lend to business? Am I going to win the Miss World Beauty Contest? The only possible explanation is that Osborne is using our money to ensure that he gets a nice well-paid job with a bank or two when he gets booted out at the next election.

Osborne, you are a fool – a greedy, arrogant, incompetent, useless, pointless, self-serving, worthless, hopeless fool. And that’s being polite.

Don’t believe the flood of BBC Olympics lies

Those who watch BBC news might have caught a brief supposedly ‘investigative’ piece where some politically-correct BBC reporter looks at whether Britain will get value from the £9bn or so we’re being forced to spend on multimillionaire Mr Coe’s Olympics. So who did the BBC interview? Tony ‘Dodgy Dossier’ Blair and Jeremy ‘News International’ Hunt.

These two creatures claimed things like – Paris and Madrid wish they had won the Olympics. Given the fact that Spain is bankrupt and France is struggling, I rather doubt this. In fact, I believe both cities are breathing huge sighs of relief that they didn’t get burdened with the Olympics spendathon.

We also heard – all cities which have held the Olympics have seen huge benefits. This is also a lie. Holding the Olympics has been an economic catastrophe for most places and they’ve been left paying off debts for decades while the sporting venues have been left to rot. Athens is a good example.

And we heard that due to the brilliant management of the multimillionaire olympocrats, the Olympics might cost us up to £500m less than their £9.3bn budget. Lies, lies and more lies. When Britain ‘won’ the Olympics, the total cost was to be £4.036bn of which taxpayers were due to pay just £1.798bn. Since then the budget has been revised up and up and up and up and up. So now we can expect the total cost to be about £9.325bn (give or take a few hundred million) with the taxpayer beeing fleeced for £7.15bn directly and then charities will lose another £2.175bn as National Lottery funding gets diverted into the Olympics white elephant. These are facts. not BBC lies.

So, as the BBC tells us over and over again about what a triumph the Olympics are, just remember they are a catastrophe of managerial incompetence, olympocrat greed and financial incontinence. And, in case you don’t think the London Olympics have made us the laughing stock of the world, here’s a clip from Youtube you might find amusing  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_G34SK3dkc

Will Cameron and Hague get their war as dodgy dossier time approaches again? And Labour’s brilliant branding

When your government is in chaos, the economy is in meltdown and you are loathed by most of the population because of your greed and incompetence, what do you do? Start a war, of course. But which one to choose? A big article in the Torygraph today helpfully tells us that Iran will have nukes in two years. And there’s been another massacre in Syria. So who should we attack in the name of saving lives – Iran or Syria? What will Cameron and Hague do? Toss a coin?

Big companies spend hundreds of millions on getting a brand the public will remember. So hats off to Labour for the way the have branded the Government as an ‘omnishambles’. Whatever our fumbling, incompetent Government does between now and losing the 2015 election will be seen through the prism of being an ‘omnishambles’. Brilliant masterstroke from Labour. Absolutely brilliant.

And now Cruella De Ville lookalike, Theresa May, admits that in spite of 2.5 million unemployed we don’t have enough security guards for the Olympic farce – more shambles, more omnishambles.

Mr Cameron and Mr Osborne – Labour have made your government into a laughing stock and nobody votes for a laughing stock. Enjoy your last couple of years in power before you both go off and get highly-paid jobs working for a bank.

Has Britain’s new cheap army been designed by an army of management consultants?

It looks like management consultants are running riot all over our army. Here are a couple of quotes from Defence Secretary Philip Hammond: “The values of the army will sustain it through this transformation” Hammond interviewed for Defence Management. “”At a time when we face continued threats and uncertainty, we must reapply ourselves to the challenge of transforming Defence for the future.” Hammond in The British Army Journal.

If you google “Hammond Army Transformation” you’ll find Hammond blethering on and on about “transformation” and “transforming”. “Transformation” was a favourite Tony Blair word – he was always promising to “transform” everything in sight.

I worked with the management consultants who originally came up with the idea of selling “Transformation” to our ever-gullible clients.  We were working for consultancy giant Capgemini and desperately needed a new product to sell. After a few duds, the good and the great came up with the idea of ‘Business Transformation’, wrote a book about it (Transforming the Organization) and even tried to copyright “transformation” as something only we could do. The great thing about “Transformation” was that it enabled us to sell massive, multi-million pound and euro and dollar projects (which were usually unnecessary) as when you’re “transforming” you need to change everything. At the time, The Economist warned a true transformation “would employ an army of consultants for a century and cause endless disruption”. Luckily for us, our stupid clients (especially the British Government) don’t seem to read The Economist.

I suspect it’s either McKinsey or PwC (or both) who are responsible for selling the stupid Tories the idea of “Transformation” and they have pulled off the classic management consultants’ trick of saving money by replacing expensive full-time staff with cheaper part-timers as our army is firing 20,000 fully-trained troops and replacing them by part-timers.

So it looks like we”ll soon be relying on an army of management consultants to defend us if the Argies attack the Falklands or if the s..t hits the fan in the Middle East.

The Coalition political pygmies’ dance of death will ruin us all

There were such high hopes after the 2010 election. After 13 years of lies and stupidity from spendaholic Brown, we had Cameron and Clegg who had promised to work together for the good of the country. But these two self-regarding, self-serving fools couldn’t rise to the occasion.

Multimillionaire liar Cameron made the fatal mistake of putting his multimillionaire chum George Liar Osborne into the key post of Chancellor. But multimillionaire Osborne was arrogant, incompetent and out of his depth. When his policies failed, he didn’t know what to do so did nothing except bluster and fumble.

As for multimillionaire Clegg, he couldn’t give a toss about Britain. All he wanted was to ensure well-paid, well-pensioned  jobs for life for himself and his scummy LibDem colleagues. First he tried to change the voting system for the Commons to AV so he could get more LibDem MPs. When that didn’t work, he tried to get a House of Lords made up of people like himself elected by proportional representation and able to hold their posts for an extraordinary 15 years. It never occured to multimillionaire Clegg that fixing the country’s economic problems was more important than wasting parliamentary time and millions of our money on his pathetic attempts to get a lifelong job for himself and his mates.

It appears that these two useless political pygmies – Cameron and Clegg – will deservedly be thrown out at the next election. So then what do we have? Ed Miliband running the country on behalf of Mark Serwotka and the public-sector unions and the repulsive, financially incontinent Gordon Brown Mark 2, Ed Balls, as Chancellor. What a disaster for Britain. What a total and utter disaster.

Cameron and Clegg want even more greedy, lying, thieving, worthless politicians

The arrogance and stupidity of Liar Cameron and ‘Barroso’s whore’ (in my opinion) Clegg are beyond belief. We’re in a deep economic crisis, public spending is out of control, our national debt is already £1trn and will reach at least £1.3trn by 2016/7 and we pay more in debt interest than we do on defence. So what do these two self-serving, arrogant, pointless posh boys do? They cook up a plan to replace unpaid peers with another 450 full-time politicians.

Let’s get this into context. The US House of Representatives (their equivalent to the Commons) has just 435  members for 350 million people, our Commons has 646 for just 62 million people. The US Senate (their Lords) has only 100 members for 350 million people, the proposed Lords will have a massive 450.

This is beyond belief. Before the last election, the recidivist liar Cameron promised he would ‘cut the cost of politics’ but when he became PM this liar increased the cost of politics by shoving 117 of his cronies into the Lords. Now this liar and fool wants to increase the cost of politics even more with his 450 elected Lords (aka more Cameron cronies to steal our money). The EU now makes most of our laws. We don’t need 646 MPs any more and we certainly don’t need 450 full-time peers.

Here’s a suggestion Mr Cameron you lying, selfish, self-serving fool – let’s really cut the cost of politics by having just 200 MPs in the Commons and 50 elected peers in the Lords. We’d still have more politicians per head of population than the US and we’d certainly cut the cost of politics as you promised.
