Dying for a few votes for Gordon

Here we go again. Another pointless ‘big offensive against the Taliban’ in Afghanistan after 8 years of pointless ‘big offensives against the Taliban’. For a start, it is mostly ordinary Afghans, not the Taliban,�who are killing our soldiers because quite understandably they don’t want us occupying their country.�Secondly the freedom fighters will just leave a few�IEDs for us, hide in Pakistan for a few weeks till it’s all over then come back again.

But Gordon Brown needs to be able to declare a ‘great victory’ before announcing the date of the general election. So more British soldiers must be killed and maimed to get Gordon re-elected. I hope those who die are Labour supporters, because they’re giving their lives for the Labour party not for their country.
