In 2004, a Lebanese christian, Brigitte Gabriel, published her memoir – “BECAUSE THEY HATE”.

In 1975, she was ten years old and living in Southern Lebanon when militant Muslims from throughout the Middle East poured into her country and declared jihad against the Lebanese Christians. Rape, torture, mayhem and murder followed.

So it might be worth reminding ourselves of the facts about the Hamas attack on Israel:

• over 4,000 Hamas terrorists stormed over the fence between the Gaza Strip and Israel in order to kill, mutilate, rape, torture, behead and burn to death as many Israeli men, women and children as they could. Many of those raped, tortured, mutilated, beheaded, kidnapped and killed were teenagers attending a rock concert
• hundreds of Palestinian civilians poured into Israel following the terrorists all intent on raping, mutilating, torturing, beheading and killing Israelis and looting anything of value they could find
• around 4,300 rockets were launched at civilian targets in Israel just prior to the invasion and at the same time another 9,000 rockets were sent to attack Israeli civilian targets
• in addition to those attending the rock concert, over 20 Israeli hamlets were attacked resulting in about 1,200 Israeli deaths. The population of Israel is about 10 million. So, were such an attack launched on Britain’s 65 million population then the equivalent death toll would be around 7,800. Yet the usual anti-semitic Jew haters bleat that Israel should not have responded with overwhelming force
• Hamas took 251 hostages
• the anti-semites who marched weekly in London seem unaware that there had not been an Israeli in Gaza since 2006. So Israel can hardly be accused of occupying Gaza
• following the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza in 2006, there had been one election in Gaza. Hamas won the election and proceded to tortute and murder all opponents. But I don’t remember any of the usual anti-semites marching to protest about the Hamas murders
• since 2006, Hamas have received at least $50bn in aid. That’s about $25,000 for each of Gaza’s 2 million population
• what did Hamas do with all this money? Build a prosperous state for the Palestinian people? Nope. Instead Hamas used over 6,000 tons of cement and 2,000 tons of metal to build a 500 kilometre network of military tunnels to be used to help Hamas kill Jews. The entries and exits to the tunnels were placed under schools, hospitals and mosques making it difficult for the Israelis to attack them without incurring massive civilian casualties
• before the Hamas invasion, there were at least 20,000 Gaza Palestinians working in Israel earning wages massively above anything they could earn in the Gaza Strip. That, of course, is now finished

But what is also forgotten is that Israel gave Hamas three weeks to hand over the perpetrators and the hostages. When Hamas refused, Israel responded with overwhelming military force. And now all the Jew-hating supposed ‘liberals’ accuse Israel of genocide. Meanwhile, Hamas refuse to disarm and allow the rebuilding of the Gaza Strip because Hamas couldn’t give a damn what happens to Palestinians. Hamas are only interested in rearming so they can kill more Jews.

Why? Because they hate!
